actually I checked... and this is slightly higher than the Seiyuu sang it in that particular scene. Meaning the Seiyuu actually sang it lower in that scene... woah. Sanae Kobayashi is no Joke.
That picture (of Allen hugging Mana (presumably)) alone is enough to move me to tears. Seriously, considering everything he has gone through, and is still going through, poor guy needs a big, BIG hug. here again after 4 years, i sobbed watching the vid. the nostalgia, combined with the poignance of the most recent chapter
We know that Mana knew it from the start that Allen is The Fourteen itself. But Allen seen him as a father figure, the first person to accept Allen when no one does. And I can't imagine the pain when the time comes that Allen learn the truth about Mana, and Mana being the Millennium Earl. The manga moved slowly but I will always wait for Hoshino's update.❤️
not really, the mana that allen met lost his memories and only remembers the time before he killed his twin brother, there will be an update at the end of october I also cannot wait.
Then the boy went to sleep And one or two embers, alive in the ashes Flared up in the shape of your beloved face Thousands of dreams spread over the land Stars like silver eyes twinkling in the night... You shining ones fell to Earth Even though the eons turn many prayers to dust I will keep praying Fire slowly burns as the boy is drifting off to sleep Red embers flame in the ashes of our memories Breathing in, then out again There I see the face of my precious boy appearing And every dream that I had for him is falling To the ground, to the ground Within the darkness you’re the one who’s always shining Born in the night with eyes gray and trembling, yet so bright Even if every word of my endless praying fell to Earth, not to be heard Forgotten and turning to dust I will still pray endlessly for this young boy to one day find love unconditional And that he may be kissed on his hand
oh wow , I didn't know that this would blow up like that and to ppl saying why this is a male version , it's simple just because Allen's seiyuu is a female and I changed the pitch so that it almost sounds like a male :)

I am genuinely researching and what better place than youtube, as a musician and vocalist I always wondered because we do know there is a gold-tone that humans tolerate for public speaking, and it cannot be too high or too low. It has to be mid tempered and wondered what about vocals? so I am wondering what exactly do you feel being in the edge between, male and female sounding vocals is beautiful? this will help me write compose and sing for myself and other music that is the most digestible to people. Esp... dealign with heavy topics. It has to be.
@@Larindarr my heart feels very confused because of this middle ground. It can't decide whether it wants to feel sad or comforted when listening to this particular voice
This kind of makes me sad... I haven't read the manga of d gray man for quite some time now, so maybe I should start reading it again. But I'm afraid it will have a sad ending, and honestly, I love Allen so much that I can't make myself to read it. I used to be much younger than him when I was watching the Anime and used to look up to him, but now I'm even older than him... I just hope Allen will have a happy ending. I makes me sad to see him crying in the picture
Idk how old are you but.... Warning manga spoilers Read if you want to know I know you think Allen is in his teens but when Allen has a form of a child he does'ent know his past. And one of the chapters Allen got knocked out and Kanda and Johnny took him in a inn and Allen woke up but If you know Nea is haunting his body so it was accuatly Nea who woke up in allen's body and then he knocked out johnny (Kandas outside the inn) and then he said "it was since 35 years ago me and Allen met why hasnt he aged?" and then Way back when General cross did not meet Allen yet he was on a mission to find what person was being haunted by Nea and then General cross said "The person who is being haunted by nea should be in his late thirthies" So I think allen is about like 30-40 years old i think i dont know cause Cross said "The person who is being haunted by nea should be in his late thirthies " and allen was in a form of a kid so idk what really age he is.
I know this edited but to me it sounds a lot like its was Allen singing the Melody(but there are some awkward parts with in the song, still good though)
since they have this part of the season in english dub on VRV I'm anxious to hear if Todd Haberkorn sings the song or if they keep the original Japanese version
This is a little more poignant than the original. The original holds a tone of nostalgia and release, but it also has a sweetness to balance out the faint sense of loss. This is very real, very immediate. It's only a pitch change, but the moment of parting -- if that's the right way to put it -- seems a little bit less distant. It also feels less like a song from mother to child, less a lullaby, and more a lament. Thank you for posting this. It really is beautiful and very fitting, I think.
what a different pitch can make. As a musician and vocalist, I find this extremely interesting and valuable information for my future works. Thank you :)
@@bri5397 Just in female vocals, the lullaby sounds like a distraction. Relaxing. Calming. And a lulling mother's lullaby. And in the male vocals, he sounds like a sadness father's lullaby grieving for his child. And also as a son's lullaby, mourning for his mother.
@@bri5397It just that, listening to the female version of the lullaby makes you want to forget. Distracted. Relax. Calm down. And fall asleep. And hearing the male version of the lullaby makes you feel sad. And cry. It seems to me that only Mana voice can sing such a lullaby on male vocals. While in Nea. And Allen voice she can be sung in more distraction. Relaxing. Soothing. And the lulling style from which you can. And you should just want to forget. Get distracted. Relax. Calm down. And fall asleep and not be sad. And sob like Mana.
I am wondering what is it that makes you cry? I am reading this makes ppl nostalgic. But why? I'm researching for my own purposes to debate whether the message gives the wight to the song or the sound alone to prove one of two musical theoretical paths or prove both.
This song is very beautiful. And when Allan sang in the anime, even if only for a few seconds, but I already wanted him to sing the whole song once. Ahhhhhhhh................my heart.
I dont know what am supposed to ssy but today I saw last episode ....and for whole 24 minutes I kept crying.......😭😭😭😭💔...I still wanna cry but there's no tears left...
Yes, i was looking for something like this. Thank you! I was so hooked how Allen's singing sounded. I looked everywhere for a version of this or anything close.
I love that version! May I ask if I can use that version for a cosplay skit for the WCS prelims in Germany? We wanna do D.Gray-man skit on stage and that male version would be perfect!!
Well I understand the lyrics and even if you look at the English lyrics you can't feel the exact same feeling when you listen and understand in Japanese. It really is heartbreaking :(((((

Wow, it's been so long since I've read the manga and watched the anime but this song still makes me cry like a little baby whenever I hear it. I will never forget the first time I heard it and how it made me feel. Broke my heart. Still does.
This makes me wants to rewatch the anime but it's so sad Allen walker's life his story is just so painful 😭 I remember watching the anime way back 2016 and then re-read the manga recently if it still updating
2020 and this one is my fave insert song sang by male character ever. Imagining Allen sang the whole song.. Nyeheheh.. I miss D Gray Man. Thanks for the song 💞💞💞
