The Musketeers 1x10 "Musketeers Don't Die Easily" - Reaction & Review 

I have really enjoyed your insight and analysis of season 1 of 'The Musketeers'. Thank you for the time and effort you have expended upon it. I was really looking forward to hear what you had to say about the explosive finale and was not disappointed, agreeing with you all the way. For me, it was definitely my favourite season as the characters were introduced, developed and their back stories revealed, although I have always had reservations about Milady's claim that she killed Thomas when he tried to force himself on her, believing it was all part of her manipulation of d'Artagnan to kill Athos. She claims she 'did it for love' but wanted to stop Thomas from revealing to his brother what he had discovered about her having a criminal past. She wanted to continue the luxurious life of a countess with the handsome Comte who was besotted with her. I don't doubt that she loved him in her own way. There are some excellent storylines in the second series and the brotherhood grows stronger even as it's tested once again so I am eager to know what you think. Until season two then, thank you once again. 😊

Loved your reaction and loved this finale, which I thought was a very satisfying resolution to some storylines, and an opener for others (I’m looking at YOU, Aramis and Queen Anne)! But say goodbye to the Cardinal, as Peter Capaldi accepted the role as Dr. Who as this season was being filmed. And while I count season one as my favorite, I must say season two is also excellent. Season three is a divisive season for many; some hate it as they see it as a big betrayal of some of the characters, and TBH when I heard that EP Adrian Hodges quit after season two, I was concerned that season three would be, well, a mess. So personally I was extremely pleased at how it turned out. But I’m wondering if that was because my expectations were lowered. Regardless, I loved all three seasons overall.
