COMMENT: What is your opinion of the Musk family overall - are they a great example of a modern, unique version of familial success - or are they another group of weird rich folks?
In terms of South African law, intercourse with a stepdaughter amounts to incest, a common law offence. Errol Musk could thus face criminal charges, had the South African prosecution authority been more alert. Elon Musk's family appears, on the face of it, to be a hotbed of dysfunction. Multiple divorces cannot be great for the children, even if they are showered with tonnes of affection from Norlands nannies. Elon's involvement with Amber Heard, who did not exactly cover herself in glory during the 2022 trial, speaks volumes of the type of drama he seems to be attracted to, a trait sadly common amongst people who grew up in dysfunction like he himself did. The names of his children from Grimes would make them the butt of jokes amongst their peers at school, because no one is spared that, be they the children of the richest man in the world or the heirs to the British throne. The sheer number of progeny he has sired would make it difficult, if not impossible, for him to be a good father to them, so in some sense they seem destined for parental neglect. The dynamics in that family must be similar to those of an Ottoman harem, which will likely tear apart the family before it manages to become a dynasty.

being succesful and actually being smart with money are different things. I know plenty of people who earn millions but somehow waste they money or are scammed out they wealth. Even gambling can be issue.
I can attest to having earned the multi-millionaire position and having my lawyer steal it just because I refused to fund him to take a weak case to the Supreme Court.
If they earned their wealth fair n square in these times of competitive life in business,they are people to be admired like the Musk family...all made their mark with their brains and competitive spirit...plus luck of course that presented at the time,that's how we measure Wealth these days.
Imagine the pollution of his X rockets wand jets hilst promoting 'clean' cars with batteries coming from DRC where children are working in mines to produce those needed for the batteries: "Replacing gasoline- and diesel-powered vehicles with electric vehicles is a major part of the effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation sector. As South Africans, we actually don't know much about Elon Musk, except for what we learn from media.... However, it's nice to know that there is a South African connection...
An intriguing expose of a "High Profile" family. I have long been aware of Elon's South African roots and for some time was something of a fan of his numerous technological innovations. However my opinions began to change when he took over "Twitter" renaming it "X". To be honest, I never used the service and with Elon Musk's Highly publicised support of the Utterly Reprehensible "DONALD TRUMP", now avoid this particular social media service, like the plague. I find that, I now view many of Musk's endeavours with a high degree of scepticism, as his "new found" political interests, have revealed, I believe his true nature to be that of a narcissistic "arch-manipulator", determined to try his best, to turn much of the world's population, into "semi-enslaved, worker drones". He has no more of a "moral compass" than TRUMP, and has no concern whatsoever for everyday ordinary folk, their hopes and well-being, as long as they perform their designated functions, with total obedience..!!
I LOVE the MUSKS! NO ONE is perfect, and many of my generation (X) were raised with overbearing father's who were narcissistic, but still financially provided for their families. ALL members of the Musk family have been pulling their own weight in terms of their innovation and work. WOW
The family Musk is the only one out of all of the elite financially endowed who I actually admire. They are off-the-wall thinkers who stopped being boxed in decades ago. I honestly feel the others don’t deserve a lot of what they have but the Musk’s are just different. I hope they thrive into the future.

The Musk are examples of how all of us could become successful through education and being determined. Elon's Mom May Musk worked 5 jobs at the same time oh my goodness. She was determined to care for her children, the most successful people are the most determined.

Interesting how people of a certain political persuasion are given biased controversial videos while the others are given glowing exposures--very biased, ugly and malicious. The title alone proves this.
May Musk is one of the sweetest, down to earth ladies I’ve ever seen.She did a good job raising her children despite her problems. Elon is a beautiful human being who loves his family and he is a true patriot. I hope he finds his soul mate.
Many of the positive comments are rooted in hard working financial terms. I guess if your bank account determines your value to the world then that makes sense. With all that money they could easily end world hunger and write it off as a donation but they didn't and won't because that's not who they are.

Elon likes to brag about all his fabulous things he has and owns. Have a few blunt questions for him as well. Don't know much about Kimball but wish him all the best. His Sister is also one id li,e to speak with. I mean no harm to any of the Musk family, but have a few questions to ask. My message to Musk: When you have kids you must ask yourself questions about how much you want them to be autonomous - or totally controlled and beholden to you. If they walk their own path and largely reject you because of your overt disapproval then you have only yourself to blame. If you want little controlled 'bots then don't have kids.
