I have 2 of these 7'6" travel rods in the MH (8-17lb Line) range paired w/ 2 x 4000 size Daiwa Ballistic MQ LT Spinning Reels. Very light, strong, dependable, and versatile combination. Able to fish ALL DAY w/ out grip fatigue or hand soreness. Love them dearly.
I have the Ardito also and 4 more travel rods various sizes for this reason, you never know when the bite happens as a road traveling tech I fish everywhere I can!
Nice recommendation. I travel to Roatan a couple times a year and fish the flats. I have a bunch of st Croix rods, My current go-to is a 7’6 st croix avid trek med-light with a shimano Stradic. It’s a great setup. If I have to get something similar, I’m gonna look at the TFO Traveler. I’ve been happy with other TFO rods I have. But I like options so thanks for putting this out there.
I just bought myself 3 mega bass 3 piece travel rods plus a st croix trout pack rod and a 5 piece zodiac 5 my cast. Became fed up with 1 piece rods and The theory that they are better. Hey guys even tarpon fly rods are 4 piece and that really says it all. My 15’ surf rods are also 3 piece. I had an ardito surf rod but sold it as it didn’t,t have the action for long casts essential when you fish from the shore.
Couldn't after more. I just ordered a 10' match rod from the UK (for carp fishing). Arrived today; three (3) pieces. I could be wrong but I'm pretty certain the Brits know a thing or two about catching big carp!
