@@TomVignard thanks for checking it out! I definitely want to get back to Brighton to night ride and just to explore more of it. Easily one of my favorite resorts we’ve been to and I feel like we only scratched the surface because the one area we were riding was so good and had no lines. So much potential out there 😂
Brilliant, I’d love to see how they compare to Europe. We managed to have a week in Austria in January and we’ve found a cheap deal for France next week. Always fancied making the trip to America to see how it compares
I want to come out to Europe at some pint so bad! I’ve actually heard it’s cheaper there than here, once you actually get there. My sister lives in France right now so hopefully sometime next season I can make the trek out there. How was Austria?
@@BoardsBikesAndHikes we went to zell am see, it was amazing, while we were there we had a trip over to salbacch which was even better. What you find over here ( at least where we go) France has a bigger ski area but Austria does the whole package, nice towns, fantastic wellness- saunas spas etc. I’m sure if you can afford it there’s places in France that tick every box. You should definitely come over, you’ll love it
Great video on these resorts! Park City is also an amazing town to visit in the summer! I liked what you said about snowbirds facilities, I totally agree. One thing that stood out to me the most about Brighton was how easy it is to get into the back country, I ended up going out of bounds a few times without even knowing 😂 And if you want extreme terrain, solitude's fantasy ridge is about as good as it gets!
I want to go back and check it out so bad! I’ll have to look at it in the summer and see what there is to do! Right now that’s the plan for next winter since my wife should be traveling with me again and I know she’ll love it because she’ll have plenty to do! Man their facilities were so cool! I wish I had taken more video of it just to show people. soon as we walked in there we got so hyped up just from the looks of it. Haha we did the same thing🤣 we came down to the bottom and were going “uhhh whoops lol”
Next time we go back to Solitude definitely going to have to check it out! The whole time we were there too Honeycomb was closed too. Opened the day after we left 🤣
@@BoardsBikesAndHikes Trust me there's so much to do in the summer at pc! My brother went to highschool there so I've been many times in the summer. One of the best things is going to the Olympic park, they have a ropes course, Ziplines, alpine slide, tubing down the Nordic jump ramps, and you can even do the Olympic bobsledding course if you're crazy enough 😂
@@BoardsBikesAndHikes They don't have lift service for bikes, but I've heard the trails at PC are still really fun. But Deer Valley just up the road has Downhilling and it is fantastic!!
Hi did you visit Solitude during weekends? I haven't been to any of those Utah resorts but I'm a little surprised to hear it's uncrowded as it is Ikon unlimited resort.
So we went the second week of January, and stayed there from Saturday to Saturday. We actually rode at solitude Saturday afternoon when we arrived, Sunday, then Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (we did Brighton on Monday and Snowbird on Friday.) we never waited more than five minutes for a lift, and on certain chair lifts we pretty much rode straight on. We also got several really good dumps of snow and that allowed us to find fresh spots in the trees pretty much the entire time we were there. It never felt like it got tracked out compared to other resorts that we’ve been to that normally get tracked out by the end of the first day if not earlier. I’ve seen people online say mixed things about the crowd. But anybody we talk to on the chairlift it was a Utah local said that solitude seem to always be less crowded than Brighton, snowbird, or Park city.
Sweet resort review my man! Are you from Colorado? I’m born and raised there but moved to Washington state a little less than 2 years ago. I’m also into boarding and bikes, and occasionally hikes (my wife drags me on the hikes lol). I’ve always wanted to do a winter trip to Utah, I usually only go in the summer for Moab and that’s it. Hopefully next year I can switch it up and go there for the winter this time around!
Thanks!!! I appreciate it! I wish I was haha I just traveled to Colorado several times over the last few years to ride. I’m in Kentucky. My goal is to eventually move out West or at least get to where I can visit more. I love it out there. Nice!!! What’s your favorite resort in Washington? You’ve got a ton of options out there as well😱 You definitely should! It is sick! And much less crowded than going to Colorado which was nice. We didn’t have lift lines any except at Snowbird and it was still less than lines I waited for at CO. I’d like to go to Utah in the summer as well to go to Moab and Zion
@@BoardsBikesAndHikes So far i've only boarded in snoqualmie pass, stevens, and mt baker. So far my favorites have been stevens and baker but the terrain here is much different than colorado. I went snowboarding this past friday and it was legitimately waist deep in spots! Back in colorado my favorite is copper mountain! On top of that I only live like 3 hours away from whistler but I still have yet to go. Man that's one thing I don't miss about colorado, the crowdedness and traffic to go board. That's main reason why I stopped snowboarding for like 5 years until I moved out there. You would love moab! It feels like a big ol' sand box but for us adults lol. You can do anything and everything except snow sports 🤣
@@Table_Topper_Tony nice! Mt baker is a dream destination for me! I want to check it out so bad! I’ve watched a lot of videos of stevens as well! That’s wild!!! Maaaan you have to go to Whistler. I’ve gone 4 times in the summer for MTB and once to snowboard, it is INSANE! Hands down favorite riding and place to go. The resort is just massive!
@@Table_Topper_Tony ya I liked CO a lot. But definitely more crowded! I need to check out Copper. Everybody from Colorado seems to say copper is their favorite.
Solitude, PCMR and Not to Mention Deer Valley operates the private Lifts in Wasatch county’s Ski/Board homesteads of Pioneer Ridge HOA, just south of Deer Crest Mayflower Hwy40. 😂
