Y'know about the "Forgive Lucci" thing, as much as I don't want it either there is precedent for it. Luffy forgave the person most responsible for the death of the Merry BELLAMY! He snapped it in half, which is the exact injury that made Merry impossible to fix.
@@zockingtroller7788I completely forgot what happened to the Merry of this is true he needs his a** whooped at least 100 more times before he’s forgiven
@@liffuuat the time that Mantra was introduced in skypeia we didn’t know what Haki was. So while Shanks turned out to be using Haki, at least Mantra was named as an ability before that. And that was used by a little girl much younger than Bonney
I don't think Kaku is actually mad at Stussy. I think he just knows that no matter how he feels about her "betrayal" once Lucci is back there will be no mercy for Stussy from his side, so he pushes her away to protect her from that and from any hope that there will be some reconciliation there because of the circumstances.
If you look at his face during that scene he does look kind of regretful about what he's saying, especially since he is not facing Stussy, and also the way he brought up Lucci at the end could be he trying to clue her in to what the real problem is and why she should run away.
Regarding Kaku, he was always shown to be the one with the most regrets about the water seven betrayal, like when he was visibly affected when Zoro passed along Paulie's "you're fired" message to him after the fight and had fond flashbacks to his time there before he fell unconscious
People mad about Bonney using Haki forget that some random-ass Skypiean girl had Observation Haki _long_ before _ANY_ of the Straw Hats. Edit: A couple of y'all saying she has the voice of all things. She doesn't, it's Observation Haki... They literally say she has Mantra, aka, Obs. Haki...
Yeah. Anyone can learn the basic hakis through training, but some people have a natural talent that they seem to just be born with. I've no issue with Bonney being one such case.
People often forget that Bonney has been a pirate in the grand line for like 2 years now. Homegirl would not be alive if she didn't pick up some of the basics.
Sanji has also had his “Nami Radar” since Skypiea, but it took me years to realise that’s just his observation haki that has an extreme range, but specifically only towards beautiful women 😂 This has been shown several times since then, when he notices a girl in distress when he’s not even close by, Oda just keeps this as a hidden joke since he’s never explained that it’s haki.
people wanting Lucci as an ally clearly skipped Enies Lobby, Lucci was trained since he was a kid to be a killer, and he is a psychopath, he truly loves killing, but what he loves of the gig is the lack of consequences: He is a mass murderer protected by the government. Every once in a while he gets humbled by a crackhead with a straw hat, but considering the job, it's not too bad XD
Right?! Imagine finding a job you are amazing at and enjoy working at with great benefits and pay, and only having 2 screw ups in 2 years all caused by one person outside the company who is obviously on crack, you aren't going to just quit and join that crackhead 😂
@@waztelandmedia at best, i expect Lucci to become a "sane Doflamingo", like currently Doflamingo appears makes a weird prediction and laughs it off, so i expect Lucci to leave the "big scene" or retire from big jobs, and make the same predictions that Doflamingo is doing, but while looking like the sanest person on earth, maybe calmly annoyed because "of course Luffy is going to do something that will shock the world"
Agreed about Vivi. I once saw a OPLA reaction asking why Usopp joined and what purpose he served and a comment said “he’s Luffy’s friend, what other reason does luffy need to bring someone on the adventure” and any skills he has is just a bonus
To be fair, in OPLA they put a lot of emphasis on Luffy being impressed by their individual skills before he recruits people, which is one of my biggest gripes with Luffy's character being changed in that. In the manga oda is actually pretty deliberate in showing that Luffy recruits due to character and not skillset. He wants Zoro while bound to the cross without his swords never having him seen fight even once because he eats the stepped on rice balls and tells Luffy to thank Rika. He wants Sanji when he sees him give food to Gin without ever having eaten his food himself and without ever having seen Sanji fight (as he's the only one from the crew not walking into the Fullbody situation, but arguing with Zeff at that time) and even Nami he turns down knowing she is a navigator first but then she gives him some food as a thanks and that's when he wants her to join. And then it's the most obvious with Chopper later where Luffy doesn't even know he is a doctor when Chopper has already joined them on the ship.
@@gamergreg94also he wanted Brook because he's a cool skeleton Luffy didn't even knew he was a musician or that he could fight when he asked Brook to join the crew
@@izzyyyyy8998 People forget that Luffy has actually asked a lot of people to join the crew. Like, for instance... Gaimon. Luffy *literally* was going to allow box man to join the crew, but Gaimon turned him down to stay on the island and protect the animals.
Gaimon and Sarfunkel are a reference to Simon and Garfunkel, thats the whole reason why theres a person there with Gaimon, we dont know how she got in her barrel but they are an item and I love them
Does everyone forget that Vivi IS a fighter? Do y'all need to reread literally all of alabasta? Like yeah, she hasn't spent the last 2 years leveling up like everyone else has, but she was NOT part of the weakling crew, she was a single-digit Baroque agent for crying out loud
Too many people forget that. They forgot it when she turned out to be a princess and everyone was like "Yeah so she can't fight" when just shortly before she fought against Zoro and only Karu failed her.
Ya she had a peacock slasher move Right? its easy to forget because she gets absolutely bodied in ever fight she is in. She would be the weakest fighter at this point but she could take on the nameless grunts when shit hits the fan.
Oh yeah, that part of her being a fighter. Where she lost every fight she was in. She was partners with mister 9, and mister 8 was just a man with a shotgun saxaphone. These are not impressive feats for a fighter. She lost her first fight with Zoro by running off a roof by accident. I liked Vivi as an educational character that helped Luffy learn about being a real leader. But a fighter she is not. Vivi wasn't in the weakling trio because they were better than her.
@slendveny7191 so not strong. Nami was a completely trash combatant until the end of Alabasta that only beat miss doublefinger because she wasn't taken seriously at all.And after that, she basically did nothing until the climatact got upgraded in enise lobby where Nami fought the weakest cp9 agent. Nami is an invaluable crew member. She was not a good fighter. For the longest time, Nami had the combat value of like three mooks, and then she'd hide behind a rock or something.
Did... did you not notice that the Iron Giant punched the tusk off of the warthog face? He actually was the first one to actually damage the gorosei! Best MVP ever
In Warthog's case his gimmick is that he is just really tough, so it is still impressive to be able to damage the dude. Whereas the other Gorosei Members don't seem that tough and only have their regen and stamina going for them.
@@honkworld9405 Ok. My point was that Emeth wasn't "the first one to actually damage the gorosei". Although I guess I could be wrong and it's permanent. It was the end of the chapter and they didn't establish whether it was permanent or not.
"I feel like powerscalers are reading a different story" ... THANK YOU! It looks like they're still not getting, after like 1100+ chapters, that One Piece is an ADVENTURE manga!
People ask where else Bonney could go and be safe, when the next destination is literally the strongest country in the world. AND it's the center of the Nika faith, too. Her faith. She can learn more there. Become a priest like her father. How is this not obvious?
Imagine Brooke and Robin with armament haki. Better yet, Robin with armament and observation haki, so she wouldn't need to see to spawn her flowers, you're just hiding out somewhere and black steely hands appear and tear you up.
My guy she was captain because her uncles let her didn't u see the flash back all her crew mates where kumas friend's that had to escape fast from the ppl holding bonie hostage and made her captain at 12
5:06 my interpretation of that event is that Bonney, having seen Luffy use Haki against the five elders, SAW that in HER future and when she used “Distorted Future” to become a Nika clone she gained Haki thru the toon force (think Loony Toons/ Bugs Bunny) like affect that Luffy has when using Gear 5. But that’s just my opinion! (Edit: 6:00. HEY!!!! Literally my interpretation here!!! I’m still keeping the comment up for engagement but I’m glad you can see the perspective there!! Love your vids!! Keep ‘em comin’, they’re why I got into OP to begin with! Specifically the “From the perspective of X Villian Videos”)
Honestly, half the "powerscalers," are just people who don't actually understand how stuff works, and go "yo, Akainu stomped Whitebeard" or something. A good note is that you can disregard the opinions of Admiral fans, or anyone that believes "YC" ranks determine power.
@@slendveny7191I'm not a scaler or one of you slack jawed droolers ok, but you still need a kind of consistency to sense of scale otherwise it makes no sense and throws everything out the window and makes it pointless what was the point of getting stronger and going through all the pain and struggle of their journey if it doesn't matter, like the kaido fight completely made any fight Luffy has with anyone below someone on kaido's commanders level stupid, if you only watch the anime the manga does slightly better but still makes Luffy insane.
Most of the Straw Hats aren't primarily fighters, but Bonney is And she's been alone in the new world (presumably) for two years, I'm not at all surprised if she learned haki at some point during the timeskip. I mean she had to survive somehow
Honestly at this point it's strange the other strawhats Haven't learned or at least had haki flare up moments. Coby got it from marineford and we've seen nami through brook get in life ending situations Brook should get armament to become black bone brook Franky same for super strong punches. Chopper same as a defense since the doctor needs to be awake to treat the fallen. Robin nami ussop observation haki to give them more ways to use their stragety but robin could get armament too for her hands to throw hands. At this point it's definitely strange.
Honestly i think Robin is the worst case. She trained with the Revolutionaires for 2 years, with Dragon and Sabo and Hack and Koala... who all (unconfirmed for Dragon and Koala) can use Haki. Cant tell me nobody thought about teaching Robin Haki -.-
I don't know how many comments you read but a thought occurred, please consider, What if you did a "Zeus is hilarious", following his whole story of how he came to be and how quickly he abandoned that to join some crackheads.
"Yea, that Boar Ho is a light pack Nika' will outlives all that trash, Nika- PUM! the Gorosei's gettin buried That's the case for all their lives Imu beat to a cemetery. Nika-!"
Kaku was being mean to Stussy so she would leave and not get killed by Lucchi. It is the same thing Zeff was doing when he kicked Sanji out of the restaurant.
Bonny should befriend Momonoske since they've both been kids in adult bodies and she should deage him to his real age constantly when they hang out. It could be cool.
Regardless of the Haki controversy... she's literally a supernova despite her age. I'd expect any of them to have it even if we didn't see some before (ie: Bege)
Actually whopple being a tag along for a while could benefit Frankie massively considering it gives him a nigh infinite source of Whappo metal to work with for his creations
I agree with your take on Lucci. He had his chance to be redeemed during the hostage situation a little while back. He even told Luffy that he'd only target him after being released from the handcuffs. Bro immediately went back on his word and targeted Stussy. He's just a chump. I hope Kaku will go back to Iceberg and get his old job back by the end of the series though. He at least still has some humanity left in him. And yeah, powerscalers are dumb saying little kids can't use haki. Aisa used observation haki in Skypiea in what, chapter ~150 or something?
🎶 5 elder bums. Robot really like that. Transmission off? Turn it right back. Robot outlived that vegapunk pac. Government bum, all your elders getting burried, got some cipherspl up to 9, but still it's a egghead cemetery 🎶
It just makes sense that nika tranformation would exhaust bonney. It exhausts LUFFY, a guy we've seen fight katakuri for about 11 hours straight (a decent amount of which he was in gear 4), and basically spent sundown to sunrise fighting nonstop on wano against hundreds of beast pirates and 2 emperors, only pausing when he was either unconscious or dead.
I swear, I've never seen people flip to hating a character so fast as Bonnie. I feel like people generally liked her, and then she started doing some cool stuff and BAM, the hate train begins. It's wild to me. I'm so glad I stopped interacting with the fandom for the most part. I wouldn't even have known people were mad aside from your videos. I'm still just having a great time reading One Piece.
Love the treasure planet poster in the background im big fan of pirate's and adventure movies and biggest fan of that movie in particular if you reading this let me know if you like it to ❤
The thing that cracks me up about the 'weakling trio' is that like... they fucking *aren't* anymore right? Like, Nami now has Zeus who can seemingly do Haki stuff so even if *Nami* can't that means it is still covered by her *STOLEN BIG MOM HOMIE.* Nami participated in taking out Ulti. In terms of raw damaging power, she has *skyrocketed* lately. Chopper was freakin' slamming Queen around like a ragdoll. Did it hurt Queen? No, sure - but that was fucking *Queen* who is a cyborg Ancient Zoan and the 3rd strongest of the strongest crew we've confronted. And that's before talking about the time Chopper had to try and hold off freakin' Big Mom herself. And Usopp is admittedly a little lacking in the department of raw damage, which I *do* find disheartening as the sniper should be able to find an opening to do damage sometimes, but with Pop Greens and his Observation Haki he's still pretty far up in the ladder too in terms of power. I am actually really hopeful for Elbaf to be where Usopp gets some kind of attack power buff because I think he's the only one on the crew who could really use it by now. That said I don't at all mind them being portrayed as the weakling trio, since they *do* cower and let others handle stuff a lot (and really, Chopper is a *doctor* why should he be focused on fighting right?), but honestly they canonically are some of the strongest people on the seas. Entirely possible to say they may be within the top 100, maybe a bit further down if you're conservative, but with the sheer amount of characters in One Piece (canonically shown or implied by position they hold and not directly shown in capability) that is still *extremely* impressive especially considering how short a time it took them to grow into that power in world. Pre timeskip they wouldn't even have been scratching the top thousand.
If you could keep gaming content of this channel you know it'll grow faster right? More clicks, more consistent engagement, all you could want and more.
honestly my biggest fear with caribou is now blackbeard has 2 reasons to attack strawhat territory with 2 ancient weapons being in fishman island and wano respectively and he just needs to make two forces, which we know they can do and if van augur takes a seraphim or two with devon using saturns appearance for control and either way characters we like are in grave danger
Yknow I didnt really take "The elders are a sorry bunch" that seriously till this chapter, but Mars going _"We're blasting off agaaaaain"_ followed by Saturn failing to kill a SNAIL made me realise that the elders are really just the Tom to Luffy's Jerry
People who are upset that Bonney can use Haki honestly haven't been paying attention to the story ODA has been writing. "Jewelry Bonney," the persona child Bonney used while sailing to reunite with her father Bartholomew Kuma is a notorious pirate sailing the new world, so notorious in fact that the world labeled her one of the "worst generation of Pirates" The girl knows how to throw down.
Bonney used all she got for a minute of sungod form including haki. Could even be that using haki is what took her back to normal. Also worm elder was on the island since you can see fire next to him and boar elder did jump but has not colided with the ship or ocean yet. still wouldnt be suprised if they are not affected by ocean water but we shall see.
There were hints of Bonney being a Haki user (and seriously speaking I would be far more surprised if she doesn't have Haki), in chapter 1063 she kicked (a blunt attack) Luffy away from a MK3 Pacifista after which Luffy reacted with pain, anger and confusion hinting he was hit by her Haki, in chapter 1092 she survived the laser dome of the Labophase (a shield that can even hurt Gear 5th, and outright blocked Kaku from entering it) with minimal injuries, which means if she had no Haki her natural durability would be comparable to at least a fraction of Gear 5th Luffy. Besides she was a Supernova and has been operating in the New World where even the fodders (anyone remember Batman? Canon or not him having Haki is not controversial I hope) for a while now, not to mention her crew is as far as we know kinda useless, so I would believe she has Haki no problem.
Dude I totally think Vivi will rejoin the crew and yes I agree not everyone needs to fight! You've got to appreciate the interaction between certain characters. One Piece has been part of my life since EP 1 seriously can't wait to see the story end I know it will be out of this world!
I like Kaku and I won’t lie, his scene with Stussy had me with some tears. Like, how long did they know each other? They were at least friendly, and Kaku seems like he has a decent heart. I want him to do better, but my gut says he’s gonna get ho’d
The Boar Guy was charging right into the sea to get to the Giant Pirates' ship, with no fear of being exposed to the powers of the sea. Maybe there's something to the theory that the Gorosei's powers aren't from Devil Fruits after all.
Katakuri is now the defacto leader of the Totland Empire, that makes him an Emperor (even if he is not a Yonko) who rules (administration and protection) over a huge portion of the New World, besides I think it's Smoothy's turn to work, she has been sidelined for too long.
I think they're all gonna go to Elbaf but on different ships and maybe one of the groups is gonna take a detour (but it's fine because Nami has the logpose that's pointing to Elbaf and the rest of the crew is on the giants' ship so I assume they have a way to get back to Elbaf too, so both ships can take different paths but still end up on Elbaf)
Luffy literally invited Vivi onto the crew way back when and she only said no because of her duty to Alabasta -- it's clear he still considers her part of his crew. Now that she's a fugitive thanks to Imu, the likelihood of her joining the Straw-Hats has shot way up. Plus Vivi's a D so she deserves to learn that history. Also _I_ want to see Vivi and Robin interact (friends?). Wapol can fall in the sea and die for all I care. IDK where Bonney will end up, but I doubt Kuma exists for much longer. It's a given that Elbaf is up next since the Giants are at Egghead and I hope the theorists are wrong about the Straw-Hats splitting up again. I know it's a big crew but I'm tired of them splitting up -- we've only had 3 arcs post-timeskip where all of them are together (Wano doesn't count because they only fully reunite right before the raid on Onigashima). As to which Straw-Hats we can be pretty damn sure WILL go to Elbaf: Usopp is a given, his whole character arc has led up to it. Luffy is likely too since he's with Dorry & Broggy. I hope Oda lets Robin go since Saul and the Ohara Library are there. Although it's extremely unlikely, I hope the Five Elders not only get their asses handed to them, but maybe die at the end of this arc -- Imu is already beyond pissed off because Vegapunk punked them. Speaking of, it would also be nice if at least one of the good Vegapunks survives, be it the original or Lilith. And I get the feeling York isn't long for the world either. With how little the Elders care about anyone… even possibly other Celestial Dragons… man, she's gonna get shivved hard.
So there doesn't appear to be a lot of info about Gaimon's barrel-lady friend, but apparently they care about each other a lot....and her name is Sarfunkel.
... okay but like seriously how fucking funny would it be if Oda pulled a twist on us and, like, Van Augur and Catarina just don't hear out Caribou and ditch him? Augur was suspicious of him for being on a World Government island. I *know* that it won't happen, but it would be absolutely hysterical to me if Caribou wound up having to hitch a ride with the Straw Hats *again.*
If anything it would be disbelief straining if Bonney wasn't capable of Haki, given she's been surviving in the New World mostly on her own at least months if not two whole years at this point (I can't t remember if it is clear when she crossed over into the New World) But all this probably means is that Bonney will be capable of Haki in the future-which, logically, her power gives her access to any future abilities she can imagine her future self possessing.
I don't know who is going to be the next crew member, but I always hoped that it would be Katakuri. I'd at least like to see him ask Luffy for help getting Pudding back.
I get the hate for Lucci, he's been designed to be hated from the reveal of his true identity in Water 7, to his backstory in Enies Lobby, where it's revealed that he's had the worst aspects of Kaido and Greenbull's justice ideologies since he was a kid, but the Lucci hate combined with the current Gorosei hate is too much for me. I didn't even reach the 4 minute mark, but it felt like Goofy spent 2 minutes talking about how much he hated Lucci, why he did, and I don't think Lucci even showed up in this chapter, Kaku just mentioned him. The best part of the video is probably going to be perfect, but there's a lot of other Gorosei to get through before that, and I don't know if I'll be able to hate them enough at the right times.
