My favorite narrator. I think they certainly intended to kill the man--or at least didn't care--and the rape/murder of the woman was just an extra. They are both guilty.

As a consumer of true crime docus, I've seen many stories this, where a couple on a boat is murderered at sea or dock. Murder visits land and sea.

Why in the world did Mike Smith offer this info in the first place??

Each accused the other of being the murder. I'm shocked! Shocked I tell you. That is one of the reasons for felony murder rules where both people are equally responsible because sometimes we never know the whole truth about who exactly did what.

According to Mike, Rob meets a woman at a bar or whatever, then takes her to a place where they can be alone (in this case, the boat). You'd expect that Rob wanted to get it on with her but--surprise surprise!--he asks Mike to join them, then what? He leaves to woman to Mike as a "gift"?! Never say never, but Mike's allegations sound like the sh*t they turned out to be. Some criminals should get extra time in prison for their stupidity.

1992- Vancouver Island - An elderly couple, Alex and Mary were found tied together in a yellow cord and murdered in a boat in Vancouver island. Two men named Mike and Rob became persons of interest in this double murder and the two friends ratted on each other.

I knew the tale Smith was peddling was bogus as hell!

Can you imagine being a family member of the victim sitting in court when they give the culprit a sentence of life? What a great emotion! And then the judge says "with a minimum of 18 years before he can apply for parole." So, there's a chance he'll get out (probably will). That family must feel victimized again.

What happened to that couple on the boat is horrendous. According to God‘s word, not only are these type of people evil but they are the evil, wicked. Jesus preached more about hell than heaven, and hell, according to the Lord’s word is going to be a whole lot, more terrible for the evil, wicked. The worst sin, a person can commit is to harm a child or a baby. Never be afraid, or never allow fear to outweigh your desire to live I mean, if that couple would have made as much noise as possible and and fight for their lives. No doubt someone would’ve heard the commotion . Once you’re tied up, you better hope and pray !

22:02 The same kind of "guilty by association" laws exist in the US. It's totally unjust to punish someone for NOT participating in a crime or not turning into a crime-stopping superhero. Plus, it puts people in a "damned if I do, damned if I don't"/nothing to lose sort of situation. People should be punished for their own bad actions... not the bad actions of the people around them.
