Sometimes severe hypothermia can cause a burning sensation due to cell death and tissue death. That was my idea with this, but ya never know! So fascinating. The fact that they were exposed to radiation still stumps me though.

With all the twists and recent new updates with the mom trying to flee the country is a case that’s right up your alley and would love to Garrett reactions thinking he’s got it figured out but then you add in the next twist over and over. I did a project in school with NASA data and noticed Russia gets a lot of meteorite strikes! Would explain the radiation and the radiation would explain the skin looking burnt. Just wrong place wrong time.

There was another incident I heard about that reminded me of this but there was 1 survivor. They were on a mountain and all of a sudden everyone started bleeding from their eyes, ears, nose, etc and just died. I wish I remember where I heard it from. Very good video though

I've never been this early! I've been telling my husband and friends, ever since you mentioned how much you love swinging, that I want to go swing on a swing set. It's too hot here lately to go do anything during the day though. 😢

I've heard this case before. I've thought maybe like a smallish meteorite because there was no crater left from impact but area around was burned they were browned and two had unworldly elements on them. Just a wold thought.

You missed a major detail..some of the hikers had their tongue ripped out, and the locals say the Yeti likes to eat soft flesh. Also the hikers had cut the tents from inside in the direction of woods as if they were trying to look at something. watch the Nat geo documentary

something that isnt talked about alot, is the fact that one of the gurls eyes were gouged out and her tongue was also cut out. and another thing they found was a soviey arm band that the military wears on their uniforms. i believe they seen something they werent supposed to, and the military took them out

I’m sorry but there is so much misinformation in this episode. There were not burnt trees, there was remnants of a large fire, on the ground. They think the group was together at first and started a large fire. Also you said that Dylatlov was found unclothed just like the first two guys (in their underwear) which is not true. The group of three that was found going back towards the tent was actually found wearing clothes from those first two hikers. It’s pretty widely believed that the first two men found died first and then the others took their clothing, that’s why they were nearly naked. Dyatlov and the other two decided to find their way back to the tent, but died on the way. The other four decided to go the other way and died in an avalanche of some sort when they dug out the snow place.

I been hearing about this for years and I couldn’t wait to hear the story the only the way that you could.

I'm pretty sure this case inspired True Detective Night Country. All I could think of when I watched it was this has to be about the Dyatlov pass incident!

It was recently discovered that the military or government knew about this before the official date that they released...like they said the investigation started feb. 6 but a letter I think from Ivanov was dated like feb 2.

I thought you covered this case on MWMH. I could be wrong, but I heard this case on That Chapter years ago and I have heard it once since then so this is my third time hearing this case. Each time I hear it I think it sounds like an avalanche. But the radiation always throws me off

I know nothing about the science around the tent. But how do the authorities know the tent was cut from the inside? This whole case is wild to me.

Weirdly the footsteps they found going away from the tent were not like people scrambling and panicked but walking single file away appearing measured and calm in their pace

I think the reason people still can't come up with any answers aside from an avalanche is because we are missing a lot of info from the get-go. I mean, this is a country that didn't even want to admit that they had a single serial killer unil it was too late(chikitillo). So even after all this time, it makes sense that they would still keep it tightly under wraps. I can't imagine not ever having answers if this was my loved ones.

I think the radiation plays a huge role. Like maybe it started messing with their minds and that’s why they ended up on the other mountain and maybe they started fighting and running around naked and froze to death. Idk just my theory. Makes sense for the tanned skin.

Swinging...on a swing set my left lobe: ...damn also, if anyone isn't already aware, there's other similar instances to the Dyatlov Pass (which is terrifying to think about) one was in the U.S. in Yuba City, CA 1978 and the Khamar Daban incident in Siberia 1993 both are equally as strange

So i have heard it was a avalanch or they thought it was but it was a meator but how did they build a shelter and fire and not find eachother and get back to their clothes and get gear and why did some die in a shelter and some crawling n some with a fire

I really feel it was an avalanche. I'm not sure how they were so far away from the tent. Probably avoiding the avalanche or scared another one would come? Hypothermia hits fast. They say it causes confusion and with injuries?

Her version of this event doesn't match up to other stories I have heard about this before it very different. For example the story of missing flesh every time I've heard it told it was apart of one of their tongue missing not the bite of some of their knuckles. Then it was apart about they built at tint out of snow all others said they found them in something like a snow ditch🤷🏿 maybe she being more detailed idk. But I still enjoyed listening to it

You forgot about the very strange injuries some of the hikers had. So, with that being said, I teeter between extraterrestrial and government weapons. As far as us not knowing about the weapons, it doesnt surprise me we dont know about it. It is Russia after all and many dont know about their capabilities of today. Good video this week!

Seams like maybe they fell thru the snow and landed in the water therefore had wet clothes...maybe they took the wet clothes off by the fire to try to get warmed back up. When your clothes get wet in the cold you might would come out of them.

Mansis, ugric tribe living there called it dead mountin. According to some they ment nothing suprenatural with that. It just ment there was nothing, no plants, animalst, nothing. But if you want less known case with actual survivor one should look into Khamar-Daban incident. Also there is no record there before or after ever anytype of avalange. And one more interesting detail... there were other hikers in the area turning that time. One of the group had incident as well that made them spend night out in 30 degeres below zero outside and they did survive... so why did not dytlov?
