The Finale of the play, where Edwin Drood bursts out of his crypt, singing the praises of Being Alive (Another nice song, but on a different subject, and by a different composer. So really, this little comment is rather irrelevant. Oh well...)
Ahem.
Enjoy!

More than a year after performing this at my high school and I still miss it terribly. Betty Buckley was (and is) a huge inspiration to me in singing this. How she hits the high note at the end the way she does I still don't know. I'll get there in my vocal lessons eventually. Also, the ending chord gives me chills. Every single time.

One great singer singing one fine comeback song! The "good part" starts at 1:07. (That's because she's singing it the way it was written). Then it goes up a level at about 2:16. You haven't heard it, though, until you've heard Buckley hit the top note at 3:52. Bravissima, Bravissima, Bravissima Betty Buckley!!!

I love some of my playlists. I just went from "Blood On The Dance Floor" (The band) to this song. Oh, randomness.
