What is "missing" = is your understanding of the evidence. What is obvious = is your overt "incredulity". Incredulity of course is easy as it requires no more than saying "I don't believe........". Making the effort to understand a thing however requires a lot more effort. So to answer your query = yes we know the dynastic Egyptians built them as all the evidence points to that - all of it. As an aside. Do you not realize that people back then as today "ate". Ergo food was already being produced lest everyone starved obviously. The Egyptian civilization was highly organized you know. They even as we do today paid taxes. One of the ways we know how long Khufu reigned was via periodic tax censuses which coincidentally were called = "cattle counts" - because cattle were viewed as a taxable asset. So every 2 years or so they would tally up all the cattle in Egypt for tax purposes and the Pharaoh of that time was reflected in the records of each census. The Pharaohs also coincidentally maintained "State farms" which produced food for public works projects. Khufu's father Sneferu waged a campaign against the Libyans to get more workers to expand his farm system. The worker village at Giza contained infrastructure sufficient to house and feed many thousands of workers. Egyptologists - who work with engineers etc. - estimate the workforce for the Great Pyramid to have been around ~20-30K workers with some being a professional caste of craftsmen and supervisors who worked for the Pharaoh and the rest being seasonal workers. People were sometimes required back then to work a part of the year on public service projects - perhaps as a part of their tax burden to the State. To supply the workforce with grains etc. only a few hundred farms would be needed - a tiny fraction of Egypt's agricultural output. There is always more information out there. 🤔

There are many flaws I agree they use families, good food , medical treatment and DNA of 600 tombs to prove that 20,000 plus workers were all Egyptians... I think the tombs they found were the bosses of the site of course they were taken care of they were upperclass they wouldn't put slaves in charge of a job of this magnitude and their could have been slaves many other places such as farming quarrying blocks transporting wood food mortar making ships sleds chisels etc. I belive a crew of 20k could have built just the pyramids but many more would have to work to handle logistics and supplies and how long did the 20k work for 20-30 years straight ? 20,000 workers at a time rotated every 5 years would still equal 100k

One sees graves of common workers as well as stone tombs for supervisors complete with their titles engraved in the stone block facades of their tombs. As to logistics = already there. Remember that Khufu's father Sneferu built 3 pyramids before him. Workman graffiti found on the inner side of casing stones which were removed showed the same phyle name on multiple pyramids. Hence some phyles labored on multiple projects. Accordingly the logistics as you say was already in place in the form of established logistical supply lines and experienced workers and supervisors who labored on his father's projects prior to his own. Final thought. Sneferu waged a campaign against the Libyans to get additional workers for his projects. He expanded what was a "State agricultural program". In other words the State had their own government farms which supplied food for public works projects. Egyptologists estimate that it would have taken several hundred farms to supply the Giza workforce. That is a drop in the bucket of what Egypt was already producing.

First is the blocks of the pyramids become smaller as they rise in height. The largest/heaviest blocks are found = in the bottom half closest to the ground. Look at photos of people who climbed the Great Pyramid to take selfies. The blocks at the top are small enough for several men to lever into place. Next is Herodotus wrote they also used what he termed as "a machine" which is a lever device using a fulcrum and counterweight akin to the Egyptian shaduf. He stated these levers sat upon the "steps" to raise blocks to the levels above. So the larger blocks below would be raised by the ramp while the smaller blocks above could be lifted the short distance to levels above. Final thought. Herodotus wrote they encased the pyramids working = from the top down. Look at the remaining casing stones of Khafre's pyramid at its top. You can see casing blocks held in place by rectangular blocks below = except those are vertical. If they encased from the ground up there is no need for that as all blocks are simply put into position horizontally. If however you are bracing a smaller casing stone above = you might see blocks below it vertically rather than horizontally. 🤔 p.s. - the ramp really only needed to go halfway up as that was the limit of the largest/heaviest blocks. The relieving chamber of the King's Chamber rests below the halfway point with the highest blocks being around ~70 meters above the ground. Also there is evidence of an existing hill they built atop of on its western base. That existing incline may have been part of the ramp used to create the inner chambers which was then covered over with blocks.

How did they build them? I have an idea. Since their first pyramids were mastabas why would they totally change? Why not improve? No ramps or levitation are necessary. You build a mastaba with flat levels to easily work from and lift blocks easily to the next level. Then create the chambers as necessary on the interior as you go up. When you get to the top you start the outer casing and work your way back down to the bottom, No dragging stones up a ramp. You might say it can't be done but look at the one pyramid that still has some of the casing stones at the top. How come they did not slide down to the bottom after all these years? Obviously the builders knew how to keep them in place while working their way back down.

The pyramids were already there when the Egyptians arrived. Even with the machinery we have today, it would be hard to build the pyramids with the accuracy it has. And you’re not going to cut a smooth granite block with copper chisels either.
