I had that problem with the temperature gauge showing overheating on my 1300 Vanden Plas, hand held thermometer showed it was running correctly, all boiled down to the faulty sender!
Aye. I've had different senders in it and it's all been the same... they're not the most accurate of things anyway. The v reg has done the trick for me!
