I never made it to Yonaguni, but I did dive at Iriomote and Kuroshima back in the 80's. Iriomote had great black coral. Kuroshima had giant manta rays. None of the Yonaguni formations though. I do remember strange looking stair-like formations off of central Okinawa on the East China Sea side. They looked somewhat similar to those at Yonaguni. Great video and great to see you back.

Thanks, David! I still have never gone scuba diving here. Perhaps this is the summer. 🤔

On the shore line near Yomitan there are cut formations too. They look more like they were had cut coral to use for castle or road building. May be you could look into that too? Knew about Yonaguni monument when National Geographic did something on it years back. To me it just looked like a rock quarry for castle and road building that got covered by the ocean over time and was abandoned.❤️

Haven't heard of the one in Yomitan. That might be good too. Rock Quarry would make a lot of sense actually.

I've seen several shows on Yonaguni (including one with Josh Gates), one of things that get me, is in other investigations people have done, they said that perfectly straight lines do not occur naturally. . .and now they are saying tectonic activity can cause straight lines. . .which is it? You can't have it both ways. . I think there is more to this, if there are actual figures cut in to the stone? or if there was a way to actually get inside as you can in many man-made structures like the pyramids. . .it is interesting to speculate.. . .the fact that they discovered Paleolithic artifacts and the discovery of the Minatogawa remains found in 1967 in Okinawa shows there may be more to the area than what we know.

Yes! There is so much history here, so much we don't know. I believe the oldest human remains were found in Okinawa? Or maybe it was the oldest in Japan? Not that Japan had anything to do with Okinawa at that time, I just think they wanted to claim the important discovery. 😂

I know it’s gone but could you do a video on the treehouse restaurant of Okinawa? Was it a real tree or just a tree shaped sculpture? Is any of the tree leftover in a museum? And what’s at the place where it was now?

That's a good idea! I could make it very mysterious. Makeup all kinds of crazy reasons why they had to tear it down. Maybe it was haunted, or maybe... ALIENS!!! jk It is a good idea though.

I like the new style of video. I think it could use a little more video of you explaining in front of the camera. Some where in between the old style of your videos and this new style. As far as belief. I’m with # 3 (the professor from Boston university ) but I want to believe #1 the (Japanese scientist). But just for entertainment sake enjoy any theories #2 may have (the nose picker) 🤣 You did a good job of stating things in a neutral way. I definitely plan on doing the glass bottom boat tour and maybe scuba diving to see it no matter which theory is true.

Thanks, Steven. I was thinking the same thing when I was editing it, but I had already recorded all the voice-over with the video. 😆 I believe the nose picker...
