You should know that this show is full of codes and secrets. At the end of every episode's credits there's a code to solve. And they change over the course of the series. If you want to solve the first codes you need to get a clue by listening to the whisper on the title screen and playing it backwards (there's a lot of backwards talk in the show too). That will change and tell you how to solve various codes over the first season. The shorts between seasons (Specifically Dipper's Guide to the Unexplained) and season two's codes are a lot trickier, using combinations of the first seasons codes, as well as a new fourth code and end cards after the credits. The fourth code will require a keyword hidden somewhere in the episode too, which can be really hard to spot but are indicated by a litteral shape of a key near them. Season one's codes are all simple messages and extra gags related to the episode (This one's code litterally just says 'Welcome to Gravity Falls'), but after season one the codes get a lot more ominous and hint at future events. It's really facinating for fans who love these sort of treasure hunts. As a final note, while not always the case, a lot of the text that flashes by in books or printed documents is NOT gibberish. Pause and read it where you can. There's some funny and interesting things to discover.
