It hasn't been confirmed the gray man is gandalf. The quote every is using to say it's him, isn't even from the books, it was from the movie . They don't have rights to the movies they only have right to lotr, and appendices (and apparently loosely some other materials). I don't think they need to explain who the "witches" are yet. Maybe they are a precursor to the Ring Wraiths , or corrupted miar. Not everything needs to be answered in one season.

Rings of power is not even close to fallowing anything about tolkiens story it's a bad bad fan fiction

LOTR stayed true to Tolkien's mythology. There are things from the book that had to be cut due to timing purposes but it never once attempted to change the mythology of Middle Earth. Lord of the Rings was a masterpiece in storytelling and film making and will be remembered forever. Rings of Power is absolute garbage written by people that have no regard or respect for the original work. It will be forgotten. It was an absolutely disgusting spit in the face to one of the greatest writers of the 20th century.
