It may take about ten thousand years but it would happen over time. The black people of the Melanesian islands are a perfect example of why this is so. Genes change over time and depending on the region we live in, they adapt to the environment for protection as well as for survival.

"Black" is also an ethnicity. European culture is not racial, it's ethnic. Race and ethnicity are not the same thing.

IMO black and white are not ethnicities. these are only colors. Ethnicity is Slavic or Bantu or Anglosaxon or Malay, or Cherokee. But modern nations are like USA - with many ethnic groups of different colors grouped together under one law and citizenry. thats how I see it :)

Race is subjective- just as the categories are. They differ over time and by location. The US Census changes the race categories offered to choose from every time they conduct it. The 2020 Census offered fourteen choices for race (none of which was Hispanic/ Latino). People get confused by the newspapers and other media stories about the changing racial demographics of the USA. The articles talk about the portion of Americans that are white but if you read carefully you often find that they really mean non- hispanic whites rather than whites in total.

All distinct categories exist on a spectrum.

It exists the way beauty does- it is subjective. It does not exist in biology. If it were biological you could test for a person's race by looking at their DNA. You can't- even the companies that use DNA to tell customers about their ancestries point that out to customers. I can't tell from a persons DNA whether a third person will consider them to be white, black or something else. It's like being tall. I can know your exact height but that can't tell me whether a third person will consider you tall or not because tallness (unlike height) is subjective.
