Everything is both masculine and feminine .. consciousness and matter. Enki means Lord Earth. He is the Consciousness of Earth. Ereshkigal (Ki) is Lady of the Great Earth. She is the Matter of the Earth. The Sacred Marriage is between Consciousness and Matter, the Lord and the Lady, Sun and Earth, Mind and Body, Bios and Zoe, Ba and Ka, Inanna and Demuzi, Frey and Freya, etc. Once they realize they are One, that One is Great Mother, Brahman, Buddha, TAO, the Whole.That's the Sacred Marriage. Inanna is the One that everything is. When you realize this, you are free. The 7 are Consciousnes and Matter with 3 aspects each: Creative Sustaining and Destroying, and the Whole which is the 7th - Brahman/Great Mother/Namu. These are the Gods, the Anunaki, the Gods of Heaven and Earth.
I'm still learning about Jung, but the sacred marriage I believe represents the syzygy - the uniting of Animus and Anima inside the psyche - allowing access to the Underworld (Unconscious). It is amazing, wondrous and fascinating that humanity has been telling itself how to individuate for millennia through stories. We are perhaps learning the literal and spiritual meanings of these stories again, as we have forgotten their reality and potential and dismissed them as myths and legends, only pertinent to the past and a "less civilized" way of thinking and perceiving. I love hearing some of the big Thinkers of today who are helping us to recognize the value and wisdom of right-hemisphere methods of perception - Iain McGilchrist, Rupert Sheldrake, Bernardo Kastrup, and more. The only issue is that, as a society, we seem to be fairly immature. Many people hope to utilize spiritual knowledge as power to be used over others, for personal gain. That is so short sighted (IMO) when we could instead focus on what we can each bring to the collective consciousness that we already are. And how we can become more aware of our shared reality in order to create a balanced and compassionate community that actually meets (humanly possible) the needs of its members. But it's very difficult to envision how we can get from current systems and ways of thinking/being to where we hope to be, and everyone disagrees on what the future "should" look like and how to get there. One person's heaven is another person's hell. Dystopia always begins with good intentions, right? So, we can't force anything, we all need to be able to have global conversations about important shit, and we've desperately gotta learn good communication and relationship skills, at every level - from the interpersonal to the interpersonal, from individual to communal, village to globe. And considering the whole entirety of our interconnectedness. How we are always in relationship, whether we want to be or not, with other species, other forms of sentience that we maybe haven't recognized as such. Anyways, I think we are sorely in need of functional discussions and collaborations and instead we have the parade of politics and childish fighting and killing over possession of that which is inherently belonging to all of us. I'm realizing that this is becoming a bit preachy so I'll stop now. 😂
