From the point of view of Padmanabhaiah sir, if the issues of Naga is (should be) prolong, the Nagas issue will come to slow natural death. This shows the Indian insincerity in the negotiation with the Nagas.

I do not like how he referred to Nagas as 'these people ' or that people, when he talked about chronology, he also should be cleared about the dates too .... As whole his point of view is nothing but Pro India... That's it.

British ruled India for 200 years still Indians didn’t give up the idea of independence, what makes this person think Nagas will give up their rightful pursuit for independence. The yearning to free yourself from being ruled someone foreign is universal. There is more chance of this fragile union called India breaking away earlier than the Nagas giving up their yearning for independence.

I didn't know that India had this problem of Nagaland till date. I know there are some differences in Manipur, Assam and Mizoram. But this just blew up my mind! Thankyou NH for such a wonderful video with great insights.

Yes Modi can solve the problem, which Nehru cannot. Nehru is not able to solve any problem, but he is expert in creating problems which even remain ethnic.

Naga will never join Indian union

Nagaland and Nagalim are two different entities. Nagaland is an operational and functional state under the Indian constitution. Whereas Nagalim is the whole ancestral homeland of the Nagas. Nagas were NEVER part of India and will FOREVER remain the unique identity Naga. Nagas are not asking for anything from India that belongs to India. But Nagas are only asking Indians to leave the Nagas interfered. STOP the idea of underestimating the Nagas. Nagas standing up for the Naga cause is not mischief. Cool down what? Nagas will NEVER allow a cheap crook negotiator to talk so cheaply of the Nagas. Nagas will NEVER become Indian and Indians can NEVER become Nagas. The play of cheap patience as articulated by this crook who thinks he mastered to tame the Nagas is nonsense. He knows too much. And thinks he is not oversmart to think Nagas cause can be sampled with a boyfriend girlfriend relationship formula. We are neighbours but not family. We can be good neighbours but we cannot force each other to follow each each others house rules. Keep your rules to your own house. But definitely Nagas will respect and abide by the neighborhood norm but will never allow anyone to rule over us by force. Nagas will NEVER become Indian. Nagas will FOREVER live as FREE Nagas Indians must Stop the idea of forcing Nagas under Indian rules. Coexistence is possible but the Nagas will NEVER surrender the Naga self-determination.

Wonderful presentation of historic facts ! Salute to Mr.Padmanabiah ! I lived in Kohima, Dimapur and Chakbama etc., but did not have a chance to mix with the local population and fully understand the problems !

Framework Agreement is the best option for both India and twh Nagas. If India cannot put the FA in action in letter and spirit then it may dridt further away from the goal

Until and unless Govt of India don't touch in the real Naga issue (Naga sovereignty) it won't be end up the conflicts..and don't think that Nagas are now in urban areas(no more in jungle) so Nagas couldn't be fight with Indian Army anymore... Instead of saying this you should sincere and work for positive political solution.. Don't play with Naga people aspiration....it may bring ugly situation again..

It's too late for India to play empire. Also, to put it bluntly, Indian civilization/ nation is not attractive or prestigious enough to assimilate the Nagas or any other group for that matter. Especially of a different race. It's going to be costly.

There may be the problem of factionalism and fractions amongst the Naga but don't ever misinterpret that the Naga people are not one when it comes to our history, independence and sovereignty. The Naga people are in unison when we say that we have always been Nagas not Indians- never will be Indians. FYI the plebiscite was taken not only in Kohima and by show of hands but thumb impressions were taken by going to the villages and even the Nagas in Burma participated.

Padmanabhaiah as the Interlocutor of the Indo-Naga (NSC - IM) peace talk was considered as good spade work and commented favourably by the Naga public ; rather even regretted his departure. On seeing and listening his personal experience of negotiations with IM Supremo,his knowledge about Naga political movement,the Naga people and his advice or opinion about the Framework Agreement of 2015 and Final solution ,'high regarrd of an Indian IAS , experienced bureaucrat negotiators good works ' has been given a jolt , I am sorry! IMs trust on him was correct, their camaraderie was true ; nevertheless his knowledge about the Naga ppl, movement and sadly his advice that prolonging tactics is fine as modern generation of Naga youth would rather take up jobs elswhere in the big cities ; the old generation and the struggle will peter down and will end smacks of our Naga trusted Ex Interlocutors true mind! Its the same doubts Nagas harbour about Indian politicians, bureaucrats and traders.Nagas are neither terrorists,liars dishonest nor stone throwing rioters! Although Nagas had to fight the army during the troubled days they had never harmed civilians!

Naga political issue is not at allrelated to lack of emloyment orthid or that causes. The crux of the problem is thatGOIlacks politicalwill to solve the problem and does not want to recognize theSovereignity of Nagaland. Thats all.

We are not asking anything from India. We are just asking Indian colonisers to leave our free land as it was till India's Independence as simple as that. Padmanabhaiah refused to state Gandhi's statement like it was not the historical foundation of their illegal and immoral occupation of free Nagaland. There is no substantial and historical record that Nagas were Indian and the fact will remain till such time Human civilization exists. The short sightedness of Indian leadership believing that prolonging the Naga issue will flattened this issue but on the other hand it will only strengthen the demand for Free Nagaland. And your belittling of Plebiscite as freedom and slavery was completely misinterpreted as Any Indian leaders. It was a historical record that is available at UNO platform whether to join India Union or Free Nagaland. If indian leaderships must try avoiding Nagas' historical records then your history must also be erased from where your pride was drawn out from..... Leave us alone as it was! During British rule,no one was allowed to enter NEFA except Christian Missionaries who converted Nagas enmasse which is the root cause of this separatist mentality as Nagas demanded Nagalim synonymous with Greater Nagaland.
