The Napper Tandies are a three piece Irish folk group from Maine, including our own Chris Brinn on piano accordion and vocals; Matt Smith on banjo, bouzouki and vocals; and Randy Billings on upright bass and vocals. They have been playing music together for nigh on twenty years, having met in a brewery back in the year 2000. After discovering a mutual affinity for Irish folk songs, the three decided to work together on an expansive repertoire of melodies, and thus The Napper Tandies were born, taking their name from the founder of The United Irishmen. Since then, the lads have been putting their own stamp on classics such as Whisky In The Jar, The Leaving of Liverpool, and many more favorites associated with the likes of The Dubliners, The Clancy Brothers, and the Pogues. With their unique blend of instruments and generous repertoire of music, The Napper Tandies can keep any crowd singing, dancing, and drinking for hours.
