A narcissist wouldn't care if you told her/him they are selfish, cause they know, and they don't care about your opinion the first place, cause you are devalued. Fun fact: it's usually them who call you that in case you don't cater to their expectations. It's a typical emotional manipulation tactic and projection coming from them.

I’ve watched 100’s of videos, have been separated for over 6 years now. Never have I heard the selfish remark explained so well. I was constantly being accused of being selfish - especially if I spoke about something I was doing. It’s affected me long term as I can no longer tell anyone anything if I do something I might be proud of etc. And of course I did believe I was selfish. Thank you for this video ☺️✨

You've been programmed ...Start changing your self-talk with things like "I am a generous and compassionate person who has the right to acknowledge my experiences" Acknowledging the self is everything because without it, we can't move forward in certain areas of our lives.

@@deannaking406 I will try. To make matters worse I live and work alone… so all I really have to talk about are things I’ve done. My answer is to not really talk much at all and just listen to other people’s problems. Thank you for the reply ☺️

#6 is a biggie. I’d go as far as to say it’s a good way to tell if someone MIGHT have an NPD problem. If you say,NO and they act like you just committed an arrestable offense against them (with no consideration of why No was said from your side)? It’s definitely a red flag. Add all of the other 5 to it?
