Also present at the service were former UK prime ministers Theresa May, David Cameron, Tony Blair and Sir John Major. The Enemy within is the next War.
It wouldn't surprise me if this one will be the last we see. The Great Britain we know and the traditions we valued are gradually being put into a grave along with the brave who fought to keep us free.
@Petra Schelm ever heard of COVID. All of the WW2 veterans would now be over 75 putting them in the at risk category. It would be stupid to risk our hero’s lives once more
@@georgiawright2762 Many old people don't five a fig for this fear crap, they want to be with their family and friends. There are things worse than death like loneliness and yearning for loved ones. Also the death rate is tiny.
From a proud brit I thank them all including my grandad who served in the Raf during WW2 and who died earlier this year. I do not understand though why starmer is there though because if it was left upto him and his supporters then they would tear down the cenotaph. The very symbol of the men who fought for the right to fee speech that the left now use to try to attack the war heroes that gave thier lives for them to live in freedom. This just shows the total hypocrisy and lack of military history knowledge known by the left in this country that just want to reduce it to a pile of rubble.
I was so angrily devastated that I couldn’t attend Remembrance Sunday because i had many family members who survived WW2 so me and my dad were standing on the other side of the closed off cenotaph; my dad could see my grief being more intense than it normally is. I couldn’t imagine my great grandfather seeing this if he were alive today. He probably would have allowed me and my dad In because we were his relatives
@@beingsshepherd They are not fussy about skin colour. There is no skin colour in heaven. What is happening to us all is evil. The government have used BLM to Divide. MSM to Delude their aim is to Destroy our economy and Control each and every one of us ,using the virus to grab pensions and property
lllAt this time of year when we come up to Rememberance Day and think about the untimely death of the greatest of war poets Wifrid Owen on the 8th of November 1918. We think of the sacrifices of so many that made that peace. possible For now 75 years , almost 3 generations ,we have had peace in Europe. One of the important factor has been European nations coming together. One can always remember how probably the most qualified man to understand the devastation of War in Europe, Sir Winston Churchill urged upon all Europeans to form a Union. He also said famously that "Jaw Jaw was better than War War" That 75 years has meant that nations of Europe have constantly worked together for closer understanding and the EU has contributed enormously to that .The EU may be a talking shop but no one is getting killed !
@@WelshLad. Yea, imagine if my great aunt saw this finding out me and my dad couldn’t attend because I usually lead Remembrance Sunday for Wales. He would have been so heartbroken because he survived WW2. My great grandfather probably would have stood up to a grieving me that day
I should’ve been at Remembrance in 2020 leading the nation but NOPE. My dad and I lead the nation from home and I always visit my grandmother afterwards as tradition. I’m glad I’m able to go to remembrance this year since no job interviews are taking over at the moment but this might be my last remembrance at the cenotaph
The brave men and women that gave their lives to give us what we have our freedom, for me that is number 1 and I'll be eternally grateful for their valiant efforts in the World Wars. God bless 🙏
@@cathydrumobich9045 I’ll write whatever I like on whichever day it’s released. I’m not the hypocritical PM who lets our heroes sleep on the streets, but stands in silence to show his respect. Disgusting behaviour. If he wanted to show respect, he can get our veterans off the streets. Refugees seem to be housed in good time, why not those who have risked their lives to preserve our rights and freedoms?
@@PepeSnow 2023’s Remembrance Day was very hard for me because I was ill 9 months prior and Woody.EXE expected me to cry. Then we both laid down a United 93 to wreath together since my walking was still unsteady at the time. Hopefully 2024’s Remembrance Sunday will be less traumatic
As a disabled Scottish veteran I am sick that Johnson and the rest of the morally corrupt politicians are still allowed anywhere near this service. Rest easy my brothers in arms 🌺🏴
Geography is not what's needed but soul spirit respect __the 60 S destroyed traditions . and created a false kind of freedom ___we now see the results _
Let's make this day a 24 hours national day _no tv .no entertainments no shopping __1 hour silence just don't do __the young must be made aware and reflect on the tradegies of wars __
Is it just me or does the constant commentary across the bottom of the screen (about the american election-which I understand is world news) disrespectful? they could have suspended it in this country for 2 minutes surely?
@@nicolelawless3199 they can do remembrance, as long as they do it quietly. Good to be aware of people's sacrifices of the past etc. But the ostentatious displays are a bit over the top at times.
@@moodini99 My parade is amazing usually because everyone shares my grief for them all. I was supported by a kind woman once in 2017 after putting a poppy down and she thanked me for it. I didn’t see her again in 2018 one sadly because of how supportive she is. I’m supported by my dads family side but dad does the most of it and we cry together
@@nicolelawless3199 to each their own. I don't do the poppies. But I do wear a calla lily at Easter. I'm not Irish. I just admire the struggle for autonomy
I’m glad my college teacher Sian allowed this because she knew I wanted to do it. And when the silence started I immediately cried because I knew it was coming. I love my friend Sinead for supporting me on this day
To a certain extent, his comment about Biden does belong here. People like him need a heavy handed approach. Time to bring back old values and slap idiots like this back to the last century.
