I enjoyed the people watching as the queue passed & during the coverage. I saw a group of 3 people have a bickering session unfortunately. The woman rose from her wheelchair & did a curtsey, the man did a scout salute. The youngster with them had a melt down over something. Bit unfortunate right opposite the Queen's coffin. Saw a guard get swished in the face by a horse's tail at Windsor too.
anyone remember "Shall I put something in the mee-cro-wah-vay Elizabeth?" -Prince Phillip "Yes, Andrew's head." -the Queen I think it was on the Royal family one.
I absolutely ADORE Russell's humour. It's exactly like mine. I particularly loved the "Shall me make some honey?" "Nah! Fuck em' let them have jam on their toast!" 🤣 Going to miss Russell's Queen impressions! 💜
Please let me give you a gift that cheered my dear friend through chemo .... The Farm (was Doggy Daycare Farm Trips) on RU-vid. It can make your face ache with grinning. Best of luck to you 💕
Kindly teach Americans. I learned in the school and the military. Seems like nobody else around me has any concept of it. Just clusterfuck around the place they want to go, ignore the line of people. Because somehow, everyone is special.
I’m not defending Andrew, but suggestions he’s committed sex with an underage girl are a bit extreme. Giuffre was 17 at the time he allegedly had sex with her. If she’d been British and if it had all taken place on British soil she’d have been of the legal age of consent. Of course, the allegations of sex trafficking are another matter!
Charles doing a fist bump has to be the best thing I've seen this week as it shows he's able to relate to more modern greetings between people not to mention he does it so genuinely by first being amused by it and pointing then giving a fist bump.
Charles has always been a pretty fun normal guy, when I was stationed at Bries Norton airbase he'd stop and drink with us, he does the best Goons Bluebottle impersonation 😄
The queue, it was what we were all training for, all those years of developing excellent queuing skills, it was all just practice for the 24 hour queue to see the Queen
Honestly I get why so many people wanted to pay there respects but what I don’t understand is the people who claim she was a grandmother figure too them or a mother figure I’m sorry but if you didn’t spend any of your time with her then she was just our queen like everyone else I think that nonce jimmy savale spent more time with members of the public. Now I’m not saying she didn’t play apart in how the country is today and I’m not saying she wasn’t on every bank note and coin I’ve ever held but I wouldn’t ever go in national tv and say she was like a grandmother too me. My grandmothers are the only ones I’ll ever talk about
I love how Russell is able to turn something sad and serious into something comedic, without ever coming off as insensitive or rude. He deserves to be called one of the best comedians of our generation.
YES!! To be able to do that is a true talent. I love this man. As an American I’ve always gravitated towards British humor and comics… I WISH he’d come tour near me, I’d be there with bells on!!!
Kudos to Russ and his staff who research all the news clips, headlines, pictures etc that make his monologues even more hilarious. BTW when Russ mentioned wasps going after the marmalade was he referring to the insects, White Anglo-Saxon Protestants, or both?
As said by the other commenter, WASPs is an exclusively American term and as a Brit I only know about it because of some history lessons about Martin Luther King Jr I had as a kid. Actual insect wasps, however, are infamous for harassing picnics in the UK due to their attraction to sweet things.
@@lizroberts1569 thank you for pointing that out to me. I apologize for my poor attempt at humor without knowing that fact. I should leave the comedy to Russ.
I wish more people shared anecdotes like that dude who forgot his. Keeps it short and sweet. "Saw her once. Nairobi.", "Cool." Story over, back to drinking.
@@PetroicaRodinogaster264 You're responding to a yank that obviously is aware of british media. Perhaps if you weren't so wrapped up in yourself you could see past your own biases.
Love that you Brit’s put out marmalade sandwiches at Buckingham palace. That skit with Paddington and the Queen was hilarious and it’s nice to hear you celebrate her sense of humour even at such a sad time. She was truly a unique woman.
I love the clip of Charles where he does the "Gobble gobble gobble" and then chuckles. I watch the compilation of "The royal family" that Russell did, at least 2 times a month because it is just absolutely hilarous! RIP Liz ❤
@@valandil7454 when he mentioned the aliens I was half expecting something like this, Alien 1: ah yes, you can clearly see a monument to British culture in London today. Alien 2: Which one; big Ben, the London eye, Buckingham palace? Alien 1: No. There's a 9 Mile long queue to see the Queen's coffin
He won't... It's more likely that he (King Chuck 3), will deputise Anne. Andrew has been sacked from the firm. He only got to attend the funeral because he was son of the deceased.
@@melissabarrett9750 Well, it was a news article that I read that stated this and the whys and wherefores as to this ridiculous situ. Again, I'm with you on this, I truly hope he doesn't. 😠
All they saw was a casket covered with cloth . For all we know , she was not in the box , they waited for hours to see a casket and a few got to see the royal family
Oh god, there’s always one mentalist. So the casket was empty and Queen was watching TV at home? Did you physically want to see her to satisfy your paranoid simple brain? You’d be the type to say, “No that’s stolen from Madam Tussaud’s”.
@@charg1nmalaz0r51 know some police officers AND knew some folks who studied criminal psychology and they all the said the same thing. I think it’s something to do with the relationship thing? Maybe? I honestly can’t remember but that is an actual thing yes… but you are right M, who actually wondered “I wonder if this dog with prevent reoffending?”
As an American I cried when I heard of her passing. It may sound strange but she was the most consistent historical figure that I knew. RIP QEII. Long live the King. I'm waiting for William.
Russle, i don't need anti depression tablets, i just need your stand up. I think, i can safely say it's not just me feels this way. No matter how sad i am watching you makes me howel. Just love you!!! ❤️
The homeless were moved on from their usual sites to make room for those queuing. Thise queuing were given food and blankets, the homeless got moved on and ignored.
Just as with everything else that we should actually be focused on, they were hidden away for the enforced pompous, disengenuous mourning for a woman who most of us never met
Russell, please make a tribute video to the Queen consisting of all the times you impersonated her! I loved the one where you pretended to be her if she was drunk when they annouced Wills' and Kate's engagement!
I notice some people are experiencing some difficulties with the national anthem. They're starting up ok, but as soon as the word 'king' appears, people are still wanting to say 'queen'. I've found the perfect compromise. 'God save the Quing'. And 'send them victorious'. 70 years of 'queen' is difficult to shake off.
I doubt that. The Queen herself likes a good laugh herself and she wouldn't be that offended for something petty now she probably feels more relieved that she finished her duty.
I understand that American beekeepers do the same and it is less "batshit crazy' than shoving a torch up your arse or drinking bleach to cure Covid, believing reptoids rule the world etc'blah
From a Scot! Class as always matey, should've talked about the protestor in edinburgh, that was a shambles just like the whole thing, but ye always make me laugh about stupid situations 😂🏴🇬🇧
seriously..people queued for 14 hour's to see a corpse?? I understand wanting to pay last respects and participate in history, but that seems excessive.
Incredibly entertaining as always thank you Russell.....but wtf is going on at the 8.50min mark tho? Poor bloody horse. There was a perfectly good stirrup there love....that's how we tend to do it here in Australia anyhow.
