I really think it's not religion study but every human being need happiness and not suffering...what his holiness is addressing is how to develop our mind for a better human society and I think it is must in this world...his teaching are simple and effective and those scientist definitely benefit from this kind of meeting and had more than 30 rounds
I spend around 20 minutes of life suffering from fool talks around bridge between east and west and moralization talks about some guys whose killing someone or died by tiger or elephant. Nothing was about mind yet.
Buddhism explaination on the origin of life as 'rootless cause of 'Ignorant, which gives successive rise, in Violation Activities, Formation (Mentality-Materiality), Consciousness, 6 Sense Base, Contact, Feeling, Carving, Clingling, Becoming, Rebirth, Old Age(Sickness) Death. Insofar, as Ignorant is not uprooted by attaining 'NIRVANA', the whole cycle of rebirth , again takes root in above succession. This call 'Dependant Origination' or The Great 12 Causes.. This Ignorant comes in the form of The False Subject Clingling to The False Object, which leads to The False Mind, To The False Self. Thus using The conception of The False Self by it False Mind, will never falcon The material aspects of Mentality, Mind, Consciouness, and Self (Being), as they are all non-material base. Scientist with instrumentation can only manage up to the highest point of detecting The Signs of Life, but however hard it tries it cannnot find The Main Sources of Life, or Life Itself. Thus the Scientific Final conquest on reaching The Ultimate Reach of Science even at it final successfully stage, can only find The cure to all human Illness & Sickness, only as a results of material or matter bases defects. Meaning, material sciences can only cure material defects. Scientific curve can only cure up to a point of mental illness, only as a direct results of material bases that affects the mental. It cannot curve the material base illness arises from the mentality bases of The Clingling of The False Mind. Thus We hope The Scientific research will one day find The Cure To human Sickness & Diseases, freeing mankind of all forms of physical bodily Sufferrings, leaving those that is mind inflicted base to religious means. However the portion of mentality defects cannot be resolved by using scientific methods, as since it arises out of non-matter bases, it requires non-matter solution to resolve. As such only by Understanding of Sufferring in The Buddhism doctrine of "The 4 Noble Truth" & 8 Noble Fold Path, in relation to "Dependent Origination" can provide the answer & cure to all inflicted mind problems.
