I’d like to note that in canon, most hunters don’t hunt the dodogama because he’s “cute” (not sure which event quest says this but it’s there!) Btw nice video like always ocean man!
What a stupid notion! Everything exists for the sole purpose of becoming my ridiculously gaudy and zealously brobdingnagian coat, those misshapen geckos included.
If you go into Vaal Hazak's lair in the Rotten Vale, you'll notice that eerie orange glow in the background. That's the entrance to the Elder's Recess.
Kushalas horns controlling electromagnetism makes sense when you look at one of its only known close relatives, the Elder Dragon Rukodiora. This dragon has a similar body shape to Kushala except with much more pronounced horns that it uses as one of the only monsters in the known world to control magnetism. It’s control over magnetism alongside the duo of Ray and Lolo Gougarf being studied even led to the development of an entirely new weapon class, the Magnet Spike.
fucking goddamn lava fish ass hard ass bouncy ass god damn worse than juratodus ass agnaktor stealing little godamn good for nothing fish oil producing SHIT
Ill throw in the concept (not mine) that ebony odogaron is not the subspecies, rather the basal species (similar to red kezhu), as it can be found everywhere. Odogaron on the other hand, might be a species of ebonys that specialized to the rotten vale, losing it dragon as it didn't need it as much, when scavenging.
Dude, when you mention Nergigante and have the theme play, chills ran down my spine. I LOVE this monster and I want it to return to many games in the future. While I do like creatures and characters that have some kind of abnormal/super ability, I just love and respect those that can compete against them with force of power and will. I want it on Sunbreak and while I am biased, I would love for Nergigante to roll up on Malzeno and the other monster (not mentioning the other big monster for those who want to remain spoiler free) and wipe the floor with them. "I see you can suck the blood of others. Suck on this!" *Buries Malzeno's head into the ground*
Nergigante is honestly one of my favorite elder dragons I'm glad you covered him over Teostra or say Azure rathalose. This was a super cool video Nergigante Vaal Hazaak And Zorah Magdaros are 3 of my 10 favorite elder dragons.
@@braxtonalan927 Lavasioth existed before Agnaktor, but Lavasioth originally didn't have the magma armor gimmick. Agnaktor had it first, so it was then used again for Lavasioth.
after watching the miniseries about the making of World I think the developers would really appreciate these. I hope at least some of them have had the chance to see them. Especially Tokuda-San. He seemed really passionate about the tangibility of the fictional ecosystem he'd get a real kick out of these.
To assist the suspension of disbelief in Nergigante reproducing through spikes, I imagine its not every single spike that grows a new Nergigante, more that when they eventually obtain enough Bioenergy to form that Zygote they'd grew a special spike or group of spikes with the intent of breaking them off in a safe place to grow. Given that the New World isn't overrun with Nergigantes and you can find piles of spikes all over the place. (including outside the Recess when researching it) I doubt every single spike has a Zygote inside it as that would be energy inefficient and ecologically disastrous.
i was waiting for this video, i cant describe how much i enjoy all your vids most especially the monster hunter world ones!!! thanks for the new upload your videos are the best!
Are you going to cover the small maps that house individual monsters as a collected video? Otherwise, how else do you plan on covering Safi'Jiiva/Kulve Taroth/Shara Ishvalda?
I love how Dodogama is literally a key species in the Elder's Recess. It feeds on the bioenergy within rock and crystal, hereby reintroducing it into the foodchain. Yet another reason to never hunt these cuters!
@@techstuff9198 Is that canon? Cause if most of the bioenergy is formed in the local ores and rocks, even dead Dodogamas can feed the predators and scavengers of the Recess like the Barnos, Brachydios, Bazel, and even Lavasioth if they die within the lava cave areas.
@@norsehorse84 I don't know if it's canon or not, I'm just using an advanced technique called Bullshitting. Also known as a Fermi Estimate, if you don't want to swear for whatever reason.
@@techstuff9198 I mean I’d think the dodogama would be able to eat another dodogama. But considering how prevalent their food source is it wouldn’t make much sense development wise to cannibalize each other.
as of now, the guild has classified some non-elder dragon monsters but has elder dragon level of power. Theyre rajang, deviljho, akantor, ukanlos, and ahtal-ka Also great jaggi but idk
how can the uragaan eat crystals? i know it uses its chin to crush them but how does it eat them? its chin is always in the way and it seems impossible to eat something ( same problem with radobaan )
While the recess visially.is the least interesting to me. It holds enough charm that it's more than just another volcano area. Plus the monsters, the largest conglomerate of Gajalaka I love those little pygmys and Dodo, Uragaan, and Brachy being some of my favorites especially within World this place I visit more often than even the Coral highlands. Though the Vale and Wastes are still my favorite
I find it very amusing that with so many elder dragons dominating via various near or completely supernatural abilities, the Nergigantes answer to everything is: VIOLENCE
Ah the pain in the asses elders we love them for the epic armor and weapons we get from them and hated for the suffering and time they cause us in the massive battles we hold against them
Genderless Procreation is actually fairly common in Nature - Mourning Geckos for example have populations which are entirely female and reproduce by just cloning themselves, thus being arguably genderless. It's also very common in aquatic animals like Jellyfish!
@@Oceaniz huh...you think I would know that by now at 26. So like...when you say clone does that mean like personality wise as well? Also as clone does say these geckos have social lives or are clone species pretty solitary?
@@mudshrooze Im no expert but its important to remember that "personality" is a man-made concept and that few animals really conform to it. Reptiles are especially hard to pin down as their brains just dont work like that. Mourning geckos are highly social (for gecko standards) though, so theres that.
@@ryanroswellcacho yea. Before you open Behemoth, you have to go through a story and other quests. The other monsters you brought up though are valid as to why they weren't there. The video creator did say that he had another video planned though, so perhaps that is where we will hear about the other monsters missing.
