Long overdue for Seattle returning. If they don’t get to use the sonics naming, colours, logos, etc. i’ll be disappointed

Seattle and KC needs it more than any other city. Both had franchises then lost them.

The NBA has to return to Seattle. Las Vegas will get the second team. If the NBA should expand to 36 teams one day, I´d choose Kansas City, Vancouver, Montreal and Tampa Bay.

Things haven't worked perfectly for me, but the timing of it all is quite impressive. Always said I just wanna see my Nuggets win a championship before we hand Las Vegas NBA before my more deserving city of Louisville and that's when I'll be done with NBA. Well Nuggets did it and now here we are getting close and closer to NBA in Vegas.

Only problem with expanding to Vegas is that if such an NBA franchise were to be established in Vegas, Vegas would be the 7th smallest market in the NBA, if you were to consider the MSA population figures. In otters words, fans from each particular MSA would have to support the team for either half, a quarter, or a tenth of games in order for the franchise to be viable, and not reliant on other teams (Lakers, Warriors, Suns, Jazz, etc.) to boost their ticket sales. Also, the ratings for the team, as well as fan support through sports merchandise sales and advertising needs to be consistent. The Raiders have always sold their merchandise because the Raiders are a recognizable sports brand due to the silver and black theme, and the A's, while not as strong as the Raiders, are another sports brand in it's own right. An NBA expansion team will have a tough time in Vegas because it's not stronger than the Raiders, the A's, and especially, the Golden Knights, which won NV's first pro sports championship. In my first chart, I've listed MSAs over CSAs because I believe that commuting to a game means that a sports fan would have to travel no more than an hour just to get to the arena and wait another hour in line just to get to their seat. Also, CSAs are very expansive regions. Here's the bottom ten NBA MSAs (including Las Vegas): Charlotte - 2,805,115 San Antonio - 2,703,999 Portland - 2,508,050 Sacramento - 2,420,608 LAS VEGAS - 2,336,573 Cleveland - 2,158,932 Indianapolis - 2,138,468 Milwaukee - 1,560,424 Oklahoma City - 1,477,926 Memphis - 1,335,674 Salt Lake City - 1,267,864 SA, POR, MEM, and UTA do so well because they're the only sports teams in those cities. OKC is another sports team that have had similar results as the latter, but the black mark is that they were moved from a much larger market (SEA) to a smaller market. CLE, IND, and MIL are the only NBA teams in their respective states, so there's a much broader reach than just their cities. Here are the Top 10 North American metro areas (except Mexico and Riverside - San Bernardino, CA MSA [4,688,053], which is the territory of the LA Lakers and Clippers, and Austin, TX [2,473,275], which is the territory of the SA Spurs) that do not have an NBA franchise: Montreal - 4,291,732 Seattle - 4,044,837 Tampa - St. Petersburg - 3,342,963 San Diego - 3,269,973 Baltimore - 2,834,316 St. Louis - 2,796,999 Vancouver - 2,642,825 Pittsburgh - 2,422,725 Las Vegas - 2,336,573 Cincinnati - 2,271,479 Vegas ranks as the 9th biggest metro area in NA, but there are other bigger metro areas in NA such as Montreal, Seattle, and other respectable areas such as Tampa, San Diego, and Baltimore. If the CSA was used, then Seattle would've inched past Montreal to be the biggest metro area w/o an NBA team [4,993,725]. The biggest CSA to not have an NBA team would the the St Louis CSA, ranked at #21 [2,900,730]. Vegas is #30 [2,392,293]. Baltimore, which is the 5th largest NA metro area not to host an NBA team, is a part of the third largest CSA [10,069,592], only behind the NY [21,859,598], and LA CSAs [18,316,743]. A second NBA team in the DC-Baltimore CSA representing the city of Baltimore can be just as successful as the Nets in Brooklyn or NJ and the Clippers in LA, as well as give the city of Baltimore full representation in the NBA as well as it's own identity separate from the Wizards. Either way, while smaller markets such as SA, POR, MEM, and UTA can successfully support NBA teams, larger markets such as Seattle and Montreal would be instantly successful since corporations such as Amazon, Microsoft, and Starbucks in Seattle, and CN, Air Canada, and RBC in Montreal, would actually help those franchises with corporate support through skyboxes and corporate suites. And you'd have much more die-hard and casual fans in those markets than in Vegas, which is half of their population, and Vegas, unlike Seattle and Montreal, is a highly transient city, making loyalty and support very hard to come by, especially when you're surrounded by the Lakers, Suns, Warriors, and Jazz fan bases. If Seattle gets an expansion team (and more than likely names them the Supersonics), then great, but if Vegas gets an NBA franchise, all I'll say is that it will be very, very hard to support that team due to the nearby fanbases in the West Coast, and such a team may not be as successful as those West Coast teams, especially now that Vegas will be saturated by three major league teams in the NFL, NHL, and MLB.

Seattle and Las Vegas are getting teams but if they ( NBA ) don't let two more cities come with Seattle and Las Vegas, then Memphis and especially Minneapolis need to move east

Montreal, Pittsburgh or Louisville for the east
