As a former athletic trainer at my college yalls perspective is certainly true today. It was one Junior who was recovering from a ruptured achilles (from the season prior) I told him to get a second opinion forget this year fam. Well he thanked me after the school dropped him cause he got picked up by a better school football wise. I preached health is wealth to every athlete (those guys and gals were my brothers and sisters fr) I wanted to play at the next level but I wasn't blessed in that department so being a trainer was the next best thing (plus I was doing it to go into physical therapy)

The head trainer and higher ups cleared him physically fit to play. When I was watching him run, getting off the line, explosiveness it looked off to me. His centerline (not to be confused with center of gravity) showed he was still favoring his stronger side. He couldn't push off that foot and strong and it was lagging a lil bit. I told him "Fam your young im young we still gotta life to live after this do you want to continue to overcompensate and cause further injury. Talk to your family go to another doctor, and get evaluated again. I think you may have rushed your rehab to get back. I tore my left ACL, and medial meniscus (Which started my intrigue in the world of physical therapy). I can see when someones lower half is off (Their gait, balance, trust, etc are indicators). Psychologically Ik what it does to you, granted it depends on the person. Ik what its like to not cut (round off), to not stop on a dime (stutter stepping to stop), jump off the wrong leg in certain instances, and landing one foot to avoid landing on the other By Centerline I mean Head, Spine, hips

For one those heights was like WWF height. They added inches to everybody's height back in the day to make them seem more imposing. They are still out there but the skillset had to change, the body type adjust to keep up with the style of play etc. I've seen kids who are 6'10 and coaches force them to lose weight and play differently. Look at a kid like Jahzare Jackson playing in OTE. He would have been a prototype big back in the day but they forcing him to change
