Ms. Marta Brandner was born in Prague on 3 March 1943 and today she is living in Stephanskirchen. (www.marta-brandner.eu)

- Abitur at the Sophie-Scholl-Gymnasium in Munich
- Theatre Studies and Studies of the New German Literature
in Munich, Lausanne, London and Prague.
- 1973 Relocation to Tegucigalpa, Honduras,
where her husband is acting as an expert under the authority of
the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization). The ensuing 16 years
are leading Marta Brandner and her husband accross South America,
leading the life of migrating birds. They often make expeditions in
areas of difficult access. They go through several military coups,
earthquakes and terror thereby being placed again and again in extreme
mortal danger.
- Teacher and lecturer at universities and Goethe Institutes in
Honduras, Peru and Bolivia. Development of forestry and medical libraries.
- Getting in close contact with the native Red Indians,
participating in their life, she is familiarizing herself with the nature
of the Indians thereby benefitting for her own life.
- 1989 She had to go back to Germany due to the extreme physical strain
in the tropcs and serious physical illness.
- She is living in Germany and Italy and is writing prose and poetry in
German and Italian language.
