I think you should consider reducing the amout of scouting around you do with your heroes, because the number of required grudges is determined by the number (and type) of factions you have discovered. So technically by scouting around you're making it harder for yourself to reach the higher levels of Age of Reckoning. (At least that's what Battlesey said in his video)
At 17:55 when your recruiting from the Spirit of Grungni into the army in the sea, I got the immediate mental image of just airdropping slayers onto boats from the airship🤣
Ironside Saga #5 "Well, it is a good thing that we did the math because we knew to be prepared," Morgris states to his fellow pilot after the climb out of a gyrocopter that is used for conducting tests. "As I suspected, the reduced weight has impacted stability so we'll need to address this problem before we can put this upgrade into widespread use. I know that you didn't take this craft more than one step off the ground, but you showed your bravery today pilot and I thank you for it. Go relax, there will almost certainly be no more test flights today." With the pilot dismissed, Morgris turns and goes over to a pair of engineers to discuss the test and begin brainstorming resolutions to this problem. He starts the conversation, "Because of the changes to the weight, the gyrocopter now wants to lean backwards. This requires the pilot to correct the imbalance by pushing the front of the machine downwards in order to level it out. The way I see it, our two best options for going forward are to either remove weight from the rear in order to restore balance or we could attempt to find a way to adjust the controls to compensate." The two engineers nod, but before they can speak, Aragris and Utrid approach, "We're sorry if we're interrupting something important, but we have some news for you brother if you want to hear it. It is good news." Morgris nods as he turns to his left to face his sisters, "Some good news would be nice right about now because exactly what I feared would happen did in fact happen. The weight reduction has negatively impacted the balance of the gyrocopter." Utrid nods in understanding, knowing too well that even when you expect a problem, it is still hard to see it, "At least we knew to expect it. That minimized the chances of someone getting hurt and that is what is most important in these tests. Now for what we came here to say and we're sure that you'll be happy to hear it. The gyrocopter engine that we used fire resistance runes on ran noticeably cooler than the unmodified engine when put under a heavy workload. The workload itself was not unrealistic, but it should have simulated an atypically hard and long lasting workload that does not normally occur. One result from the test that we'll need to further investigate is that the power generated by the modified engine is greater at any given point than the unmodified engine. Moving on to our next experiment, our work with parts reliability has also turned out well. The parts that you pointed out as having lower reliability than others showed a significant improvement over their normal counterparts." "We could attempt to fix the weight imbalance by using lighter materials and then strengthening them with this technique," the engineer closest to the two sisters chimes in. "None of the pilots will want to give up their bombs which account for a large amount of weight in the rear, so this is perhaps the next best option. She nods, "The engine was much cooler at the same level of power output. It produced steam faster than the unmodified engine, but what worries me is that it also was more powerful at the same level as the unmodified engine and that means more steam pressure. Obviously we cannot have too much steam pressure unless the idea is to have hot pieces of metal flying everywhere at high speed. I am still awaiting Lord Makaisson's response on my proposed engine and using that engine would remove steam explosions from the list of potential problems. The most immediate remedy to this risk is to simply calibrate the controls for the increased steam generation, that way an engine that is lighter but also reinforced by runes to compensate will be within the necessary safety standards. Before anyone asks, the answer is no. I understand that arbitrarily lowering the maximum threshold of what is considered safe makes my work harder but it also means that it is without a doubt safe." The good news is that the four units of rangers that I requested arrived and to my delight it turns out that there was a mistake and they are in fact bugman's rangers. I do so like it when mistakes are a good thing." "This isn't the worst thing in the world given Lord Makaisson's current adventure which was going to lead to conflict with them, and I won't say no to getting my hands on their war machines," Aragris states as she rubs her hands together. Utrid adds that she couldn't think of a better target to use in order to test her new runes in battle Knowing what his sisters are talking about, Undur says, "Ladies, we understand how you feel but you know that it won't-." "I'm sorry but I haven't cared about that since uh...hold on I just need a moment...ever," Aragris' face says what her words don't. Utrid's face speaks enough for them both. Aragris looks Undur dead in his eyes, "I look forward to introducing the traitors to a real iron demon!"
Hey lion love the videos as always man. If your ever low on money again you could sell those Kislev regions back to one of the Kislev factions for some quick cash, and also helps their economy as well so they can go after other potential threats cause I dont think its gonna be long till Azazel starts pushing through and messing with everyone (Including you) so youll need a strong south to deal with him while you focus one the chawfs. And most likely the Ropsmen clan (The red Kislev faction) will start losing territory to the chawfs in this war, so you can retake there stuff and sell back to Katarin for some quick cash cause again, you dont need the Kislev regions at all you can take all of Norsca and parts of the chaos wastes where Astragoth is. And I dont know if you noticed but Throgg is now dead cause Wulfric most likely killed him (and he is right on your border in Norsca) So you might need to turn somebody around or make a new army (or two cause Norsca is big) and beline to conquer it cause pretty soon Wulfric will be allying up with the other chaos factions and there is just gonna be a load of hurt down the line (Daniel,Azazel,Archeaon). But as always love your new dwarf series.
That Grudge army did really damn well, was fun to see those Iron Drakes torching the hordes of Orcs and Gobbos. Your Slayer Army has no range units except for Artillery but you can stick the Regiment of Renown Slayer and Grudge Thrower in there too. They're mainly full of Dwarf Warriors so you could theme them around Slayers, Artillery and maybe Grudge Rakers when you unlock them so turn it into super aggressive force.
I would like to see a necromancer faction separate from the vampire counts with legendary lords like : Heinrich Kemmler, Helman Ghorst, Sienna Fuegonasus, etc. with necromantic or dark magic corruption and maybe be able to create necromancer's den in cities without occupying it. As opposite there could be a witch hunter faction with different famous witch hunters as legendary lords.
How to recruit in the sea: Locate the one positive from the last half of the incredibly disappointing Game of Thrones, namely Gendry in his rowing boat. The rest of GOT seasons 6-8 sucked, but Gendry in the boat was funny.
