I wrote the book for the neo rider waite tarot collection. Let me say its been along time before i would actually come on any social media platforms and look at reviews for my book thats included in all four decks. I am my worst critic and ive learned ALOT about writing my first (yes first) book. The reason the decks took so long to come out ( i think) had a lot to do with my editing 😢of couse i didn't know what all goes into writing. So poor Ivy and team for having to fix any issues i made. Also she made what 30 hrand on Kickstarter!! I make 0 royalties on these decks unfortunately. You live amd learn i suppse. Just to add as well she originally wanted me to write this little white book for the wheel of fortune deck but changed her mind and that is why the wheel of fortune deck doesn't have a booklet. I loved it when you said slippy they really are. You anxiously grasping could not even hold them. Wow they are sooo beautiful enjoy them for the both of us. Maybe I can get one sometime. I can not choose either.
What a set! All these decks are beautiful, my favorite has to be the Shadow deck with the metallic colours. The Royal deck is a close second, I'm really liking the saturated colours. Great review as always! 😁

Looks so gorgeous. I am a huge lover of all things (and I mean ALL things) shiny and dynamic and holographic or have 3D depth or 3D effects so those Tarot decks are extremely gorgeous and amazing looking. I really love the pink and black one, the Tarot cards look gorgeous with those metallic shiny effects and the black one with the extra color but still having that same metallic shiny effect. I wish I had money to splurge on nice things like that, hopefully someday. Thanks for the video, I'm a rambler myself, I don't mind when people ramble. lol
I couldn't decide ( or resist really) and ordered 3 decks- left out the Antique version, as I have Il Menenghello decks that do the job for me. Thanks Simon. Simply gorgeous.
thank you so much for your thorough review! i’ve struggled over choosing my first deck for AGES now, and while ppl always recommended the rider-waite but i just didn’t really connect with the colors and style. but the moment you showed the shadow deck i was immediately mesmerized! the gold foil printing really brings out a whole new layer to the vibrant colors and classical interpretations. thank you again!

Thanks for the video 😍 I really like the love and antique decks, Im leaning toward antique because I like its vibe and i feel like it is easier to read. The love deck looks like very shiny and alot of reflection, does it make it harder to see the image as compared to the antique?
I will be ordering the Shadow as the color is amazing by the looks - I'm glad I waited and saw this review as it confirmed my initial choice. The Love / Romance deck looks pretty spectacular also but for me it's the shadow. I have the Wheel Tarot and if the durability is the same then happy days. Thanks Si x
I’ve been eyeing these for months. I thought for sure I’d love the antique and shadow. I really do! But I am also in love with the royal. Those colors. Wow! The love deck is also gorgeous, but I worry I’d have trouble seeing the images. Off to add to my Xmas list! As always, thanks for sharing. Your love for RWS had me come to a deeper appreciation and new love for it. Every time I tell myself I don’t need another standard RWS, someone comes out with some new treatment of Pixie’s artwork that makes me fall in love with it all over again! I think I have to have all three of the ones I mentioned. I still need a CS or two (and one of his TdM decks), the Commemorative set, and I think US Games is coming out with a new one. And there’s another that just came out that I love except for the backs, but I can get on with them. Was it called the Smith Tarot? It’s just been popping up on the Tubes.

Oh my gosh🤩! I saw these on Etsy, just the box, was curious but didn't buy. When you took them out of the box I literally forgot to breathe...they are gorgeous. Is the love deck a rose gold background? I couldn't tell in the light. Simon you are a bad (wonderful) influence. So much for being 'good' this month! Thank you!!!!!!🤗
I've had my eye on both the Shadow and Royal decks for some time now, but being on a budget, I wanted to see more pictures and a walk through before making a final decision and I have to say I still REALLY want them both, but that Shadow deck is something entirely else, even better in motion than it looked in the pictures! The movement effect created on them I already know is really going to draw me in and aid me with really diving deep into the images and symbolism. And they'll probably last forever since they're plastic, so, waterproof and can just be wiped off if anything were to spill on them. When my budget allows, I'll probably pick up the Royal deck as well, assuming they're still available.
@@the_hermits_cave it's funny becuase I'm generally pretty put off by super shiny gold anything unless it's jewelry lol. Like I've never been drawn to buy a gold deck, but this one has a certain something that makes me excited to own it.
I really enjoyed this. I had been waiting for a full walkthrough, but they are all so nice, it only made it even more difficult to decide. I'm trying to think if I want the Shadow or the Royal version more. Did you say the Royal deck is not plastic? It has a very distinct sound to it when you handle them. I have another matte deck I recently acquired wherein the cards feel great, but tend to clump together when shuffling. How do you find it shuffles?
I just checked out the site. I've been on her page before and I remember those cards. I went ahead and favorite the 4 deck one, like yours. I'm still waiting for 3 decks from Russia. Overseas shipping is a little scary right now when they just let it sit. It's nerve racking. 😵😂

The colors on the royal deck look so rich. Ugh I don't need another tarot deck, but I gasped out loud when I saw the royal deck. The antique deck looks amazing as well. I'm a Thothee through and through but these decks really give me the grabby-hands.
Im familiar with the material they’re printed from at least they look the same like my ordinary playing cards. I have a gold deck of ordinary playing cards with a similar material and while shuffling they fell apart very fast the edges started to come undone and plastic was bulging from every corner of the cards, Just careful they seem sturdy, they give you that impression at first but they fall apart easily.
I ordered two of these decks (love and shadow) based on your walk through here.... my decks have been in the country since 07/24/20, and I still haven’t received them! No fault of Ivy..... I’m getting antsy waiting for them.... so I just keep rewatching your walk through video to appease my impatient soul! 🤣

Beautiful! I understand your feelings about Kickstarter. I backed the Dinosaur Marseille exactly a year ago today and all any of us have received is excuse after excuse. We were supposed to receive them last September! Never again! Only if its someone like Tarot Collectibles or Uusi.
I backed the Dreamers Arcana on Indiegogo and managed to get my bank to recall the card payment on the basis of fraud - the deadlines went by with nothing from the creator, no emails, no response to Indiegogo ticket raised. It might be worth a try if you suspect the card deck will never materialise. I am glad I did cos a month or two later every crowdfunding site comments section showed the creator Liliana has just disappeared and kickstarter was not refunding.
The bank investigated and I was allowed a charge back on the basis that a postal deadline had come and gone with no word, there is a failure to supply goods type basis for a claim. Good luck.
I am still waiting for my Wheel of Fortune Tarot which I ordered in April so not really feeling like getting another deck from this shop. The tracking does not work so there is no way to see where it is at, all I get is don’t worry it is not lost which doesn’t really help now does it. So even though these decks are beautiful I will not be buying them.
Sorry you had that experience, decks from China have been terribly delayed during the last few months. I do trust Ivy though when she said she would replace if lost. 🙏🏼❤️
I was inpatient on this deck but I have to say it is so worth the wait so much I have ordered a second copy of the Wheel of Fortune and in December with Birthday & Christmas money getting the Love and Shadow one. Yes it is a long wait but it is so worth it. It is not Ivy’s fault it is more our post office.
I just got the vintage version. Trust me is not as great as u think! Not only it gives you a fake vintage looking of the deck but it also FEELS horrible!!! It is extremely HARD to shuffle!!!!!!! If you look at the Fool card closely compare with the Fool on the back of the box, the details is VERY different!!!! You can hardly see the details of the clothing of what the person is wearing in the Fool card!!! All the black area is just very muddy and murky feeling to it!!! Not to mention why on earth the black area is shiny???!!! It doesn’t make sense when is suppose to be vintage! You can’t really notice it till you see it in real life! I’ve seen enough decks and very into details. Am definitely very unsatisfied with it!!!
