What if the Neocons are actually on the same page with us? What if they do not believe their own lies and they know precisely what's happening on the battle field? And what if they are happy with it, because they have a plan. The 'Afghanization' of Ukraine has been an option on their play book ever since 2022. And now we are at the verge of a Russian "victory" which the neocons would love to transform into a phyrric one by poisoning what Russia can possibly hope to achieve. Even if this was not the original plan, what if the neocons are going to try everything they can to prevent an end to the war and keep Russia permanently bogged down and permanently bleeding-even if that means literally sacrificing the very last Ukrainian?
In this talk I'm exploring that option with Professor Glenn Diesen, a professor at the University of Southeast Norway and an associate editor at the Journal “Russia in Global Affairs”.

@@michaelsaxton1265 the question is more, if the U.S. military/foreign policy (CFR)is under control of its own national interests, or under control of the globalist „elites“ symbolically represented on the one dollar paper? (Who want to resurrect a global pharaohs empire?) Since the sister organization of the CFR is Chatham House (rooted from the much older/formerly Royal institution of international relationships) the question is still : did the British global empire really perish, or are the British elites still in power regarding the former colonies including the US? (Not by guns, but by mind controlling a large number of the world population?) @DarkDragonRus

Well, there is some. Because currently Ukrainian forces are on Russian territory (former Ukrainian regions) and they constantly shot at population centres in Donbass with artillery and now they forced to use drones instead and most of them have pretty limited range (the ones with bigger range are generally easier to intercept). There is also other advantages that depend on how border looks like. If you look at the map you will see that Ukrainian forces on north-east are in very bad situation right now despite low intensivity battles there comparing to south-east part. When Izium going to be captured again, and it's likely to be the next target after Krematorsk, Kharkiv is basically undefendable. Even if part of the forces will be diverted to Balakleya. And Ukrainian army already exhausted to the point that they can't defend even half as effectively as a year ago.

The best hope for ending the war is if Ukraine is no longer able to find men willing to die for the American MIC and America is no longer able to borrow the trillions of dollars it needs to feed the MIC. When no one is willing to buy US treasuries at low interest rates, the the Fed will step in with quantitative easing (printing money out of nothing) and inflation will go through the roof. They are salivating at China: here is the win, win, win outcome for the Western oligarchs. They settle the trade deficit that the U.S. can only become slaves for the next 200 years trying to return production, but inflation will reduce the exchange rate of labor at again the cost of U.S. taxpayers and labor. Next, they isolate China from the Western investment and technology sharing. War would bolster the U.S. economy, while further isolatingCapitalism in the hands of kleptocratic plutocrats is the problem. What everyone one is missing is that kleptocracy is in a philosophical struggle with democracy, communism, socialism, communism, compassion and the ethical rule of law where everyone is valuable but not a commodity. Narcissistic capitalism better explained as kleptocratic plutocracy is the problem with man personally profiting while controlling government. Beyond flawed it is socially and morally destructive. Human domestication or civilization is an experiment and those enjoying power and the power to force people into wealthfare for the rich or communism for the rich, is why we are being driven in the now declared by the West WW3 against the others who want self determination.

There is no limit to how many times the empire spinners will flip flop the narrative to make it appear like they are in control. Like they have choices in Ukraine - they don't. It's another Neocon US empire mass failure. I guess it's a minor victory that this time the body bags were not filled with Americans, but they still drained the national armory. The US empire is a one trick pony. The only thing they are good at is the easiest thing to do and that is to destroy things. ~~~~~~~~~~~ . *A Record of Unparalleled Failure* . *Don’t Walk Away from War It’s Not the American Way* . The United States has been at war - major boots-on-the-ground conflicts and minor interventions, firefights, air strikes, drone assassination campaigns, occupations, special ops raids, proxy conflicts, and covert actions - nearly nonstop since the Vietnam War began. That’s more than half a century of experience with war, American-style, and yet few in our world bother to draw the obvious conclusions. . Given the historical record, those conclusions should be staring us in the face. They are, however, the words that can’t be said in a country committed to a military-first approach to the world, a continual build-up of its forces, an emphasis on pioneering work in the development and deployment of the latest destructive technology, and a repetitious cycling through styles of war from full-scale invasions and occupations to counterinsurgency, proxy wars, and back again. . So here are five straightforward lessons - none acceptable in what passes for discussion and debate in this country - that could be drawn from that last half century of every kind of American warfare: . 1. No matter how you define American-style war or its goals, it doesn’t work. Ever. . 2. No matter how you pose the problems of our world, it doesn’t solve them. Never. . 3. No matter how often you cite the use of military force to “stabilize” or “protect” or “liberate” countries or regions, it is a destabilizing force. . 4. No matter how regularly you praise the American way of war and its “warriors,” the U.S. military is incapable of winning its wars. 5. N.o matter how often American presidents claim that the U.S. military is “the finest fighting force in history,” the evidence is in: it isn’t. . And here’s a bonus lesson: if as a polity we were to take these five no-brainers to heart and stop fighting endless wars, which drain us of national treasure, we would also have a long-term solution to the Veterans Administration health-care crisis. . tomdispatch.com/engelhardt-a-record-of-unparalleled-failure/

Zelensky didn't try to prevent the conflict through diplomacy because he lacks honor and integrity. In 2014 there was a coup. Soon after, there was a massacre in Odessa (dozens of people were burned alive). Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. A civil war broke out due to the rise in ethnic tensions. For 8 years the Ukrainian military was indiscriminately shelling civilians living in Donbas. If Zelensky honored the Minsk agreement and pledged neutrality, none of this would have happened. The 8 year civil war would have ended and Donbas would have remained part of Ukraine. War is the ultimate failure of diplomacy. Zelensky, Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande admitted that Ukraine had no intention to honor the Minsk agreements. Who didn't want peace? Who advised against the 2022 peace talks in April? Hint: someone visited Zelensky in Kiev at that time Russia's national security was compromised once NATO began to expand eastwards. Russia clearly stated that Ukraine joining NATO was a red line (November 2021) and unfortunately this concern was never taken seriously. The Russians openly stated: if nothing changes, we will be forced to act in order to defend our national security. Enhancing the national security of one country at the expense of another is unacceptable. The Russians have legitimate security concerns. 20th September, 2021: Ukraine launched military drills with US and NATO. NATO is not a defensive alliance. NATO illegally bombed Yugoslavia (a direct violation of the U.N. Charter). We should never forget what they did to Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq etc. Who blew up the pipeline causing an environmental disaster? Zelensky banned all opposition and arrested a leading priest. Zelensky tried to invoke article 5 under false pretenses. Remember the incident in Poland. Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. Poroshenko said, “Our children will go to schools and kindergartens-theirs will hide in the basements”. Russians will never forget the 2014 Odessa massacre. The whole world needs to know about it. Why was Denis Kireev eliminated? He was a member of Ukraine's negotiating team during the peace negotiations. He wanted to help his country. Ukraine has a hit list. They target artists, journalists and ordinary citizens. Hundreds of children are on this list. 13 year old Faina Savenkova was placed on this list. Pink Floyd's Roger Waters is on this list. Jimmy Dore (American stand-up comedian, podcaster) and Aaron Maté (Canadian writer and journalist) are on this list. There is evidence that Ukrainian troops have been indiscriminately shelling civilians in Donbas (they used petal mines and targeted areas where there was no military presence). The azov troops trapped in the azovstal steelworks in Mariupol used human shields. They refused to allow civilians to leave despite of humanitarian corridors being present. Russia held a proposed cease fire in order for the civilians to leave, but azov would not allow the civilians to leave. Ukraine has committed many acts of terrorism (car bombs and other forms of assassination). Darya Dugina (journalist) R.I.P. The first terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed the truck driver and the individuals in the adjacent car (innocent civilian victims). The second terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed two parents and severely injured their young daughter. I have done a lot of research and it took me a long time to write this comment. I have stated a lot of facts and I have given my honest opinion. I have provided a brief summary of events that took place. In order to explain this whole situation in great detail, a book would need to be written. Hopefully someone will write an UNBIASED book, stating facts and allowing the readers to form their own judgments. Everything I said can be fact checked and verified.

I totally agree with everything you have stated in your podcast.Firstly Zelenskyy is a traitor he’s a paid Zionists and corrupt. Everyone from professor jeoffrey sacks Scott richter ray mcgovan col McGregor and professor measheimer know and have called him out. Lindsay graham who is an American congressman has stated that the Americans want the estimated 30 trillion resources in Ukraine and the fact the Ukrainians have left the country and 700000 is no skin if Americas nose. They do not care as long as Americans are not coming home in body bags. He openly said this on American interview.he also said all the Palestinians should be killed to erase Hamas. He just evil.well for Ukraine if trump wins their maybe peace agreement. But the Zionists are in control in America so I don’t hold out for this. Putin has respect in the world because he tells the truth and has integrity. NATO is a puppet of the USA and until all the Zionists leaders are defeated. There will be no change. Plus lezevski has sold the east of Ukraine to black rock and he is unable to deliver. The Russians have it. So o guess he will be on someone’s list. All those billions invested. Maybe Nuland and she me of the CIA will be on that list.

I agree with @GlennDiesen about the American economy starting around 47:15 mins; yesterday I was watching a Fox Business program and the person highlighted that there were only 3 industries that were strong, viz. Defense, AI, and Investment Banking. There were other 19 industries that were weaker, including Autos, Airlines, Restaurants, Food Cos, Housing, Consumer Goods, Discount Apparel, Consumer Credit, Software (ex AI), Freight & Delivery Cos, Commercial Real Estate etc. So, the American economy is heading for trouble; though the US is investing 100s of billions of dollars in semiconductor chip manufacturing, Intel announced 15,000 layoffs yesterday! Dark clouds are brewing over the American economy, it seems.

As to the main point of this discussion, whatever the neocon's next step is to try to prolong the conflict in Ukraine, there is a hard reality that cannot be denied: Ukraine is simply running out of manpower willing to go to die on the frontlines, and the West - including the US - is running out of money and weapons to keep the Ukrainians fighting. Finally, one should note that Russia is prepared to continue fighting in Ukraine for many years, and the Russian population is supportive of the SMO.

"From Plato to NATO - from a philosopher to a bully. Or, if you like - from wisdom to violence." My version: "From Plato to Pluto" (I refer to a Disney cartoon character who gives to sheer panic when confronted with something unknown.) B cлyчae Минскa 3.0 или Стамбулa 2.0 Путина народ не простит. Многострадальный Донецк это окровавленный щит России. Taм наша душа, сердце и... совесть. Вставай Hарoд! Вставай Cтрана огромная, прежде чем наши враги заставят нас обозначать очередные yже нe "красные" a "кoричнeвые линнии" на нашем носу! "We're the United States of America for God's sake, the most powerful nation in the history - not in the world, in the history of the world. The history of the world." President of America and the leader of the Free World Joe Biden (October 15, 2023) Only people detached from reality would disagree with President Biden - unquestionably the greatest - after James Monroe - president in American history. AMERICA is the richest, the most successful and powerful country in history of the world. We Americans are dreamers and doers - the most exceptional and civilised nation in history of humanity. We dominate and control every aspect of life on this planet: politically, economically, financially, militarily, culturally, scientifically, technologically. We Americans - with some other English speaking nations - dominate entertainment industry, music, film, art, sport, fashion, even global fast food networks... you name it. We are a beacon of democracy, freedom, justice and human/civil rights for the rest of the world. Our New World, Promised Land of opportunity to this day attracts millions of oppressed and destitute people from Africa and Euro-Asia, who flee homophobia, racism, misogyny, antisemitism, sexism and ageism, illegal immigration, environmental disasters, street crime, trigger-happy law enforcers, unemployment, human trafficking and sexual exploitation, child abuse, homelessness, drug and gun culture/mass shootings, poverty, ubiquitous corruption, censorship and disinformation, electoral frauds and political assassinations, "unprovoked wars" and "colour revolutions", genocides, Marxist totalitarianism and theocratic dictatorship... They find here not only the highest living standards, unlimited wealth and prosperity, peace, safety, unrestricted love and happiness but also all-inclusive and equitable society, tolerance and liberal values that people in 21 century deserve. Providence and Monroe Doctrine blessed us with sacred hegemony and a right of unilateral intervention over "the Americas". Remember so called Latin, South, Central Americans, Canadians and other inhabitants of our backyard, there is one and only AMERICA - The United States of AMERICA. We true Americans will continue our crusade to defend democracy in America and beyond. Nothing, nothing can come in a way of saving and defending democracy and promulgate our American way of life so harmoniously coupled with universal values. We are a superpower. Do not dare to question our leadership in the world! DON'T, as it is based on a simple devine premise: "If God is for The US, who can be against The US?" (Romans 8:31) GOD BLESS AMERICA!

The US and its NATO gang completely ignore history and are ready to repeat the same mistakes over and over again, expecting different results. Did they not 'high-tail it' out of Afghanistan just months before they created another war in Ukraine? But that is not the case with others, and Russia in particular. @@njikangclifford8259 The only reason why Vietnam could beat the crap of Americans is because they were supplied by the Russians, now it is the other way around. As far as Korea, the North was supplied by China and Russia though they could win half of its territory and look what North Korea became and compare it to South Korea. The intention was good in Afghanistan so people could leave their 11th century life with the Sharia law that preclude that men are the sole to manage families, villages ... but the American just like the Russian before them lost because of the terrain, a strong mountainous country, the Americans thought they would do the same as in Iraq, they were wrong. Russia did not want the people to educate themselves, they only wanted the rich natural resources the Afghanistan country still have. In the background we are seeing the fall of the USA Empire, the collapse of the Petro-dollar, the failing US dollar, the rise of the Global South via BRICS, the end of the Central banking fiat currencies, the rise of the populous governments (anti-war people) in the west (EU / USA in particular). Prof. Diesen makes a very good point. By keeping the war East of the Dnieper, the conflict has the psychological feel of a "foreign war" to residents of Western Ukraine. Thus, they are not fighting for their homeland but for oblasts of Ukraine that were appended to Ukraine by Khrushchev and an object of debate as to which republic they should belong to when the USSR came apart. So, the longer the war stays east of the Dnieper the longer the RF keeps this psychological advantage. Furthermore, should the Dnieper eventually become the new front line, the Western Ukrainians will need to cross it to invade (liberate?) Eastern Ukraine. That might be an option with a fresh army, but after the mauling they took in Eastern Ukraine over the past 2-3 years, will they want to go back? And should the war continue as a stalemate along the Dnieper, do the Western Ukrainians want to live without electricity and basic infrastructure as the Russians bombard Lviv and other major cities with missiles? Maybe this is all an objective of the Neocon's but it completely validates what Prof. Mearsheimer predicted: "primrose path", "Putin will wreck Ukraine", "rump state"...

Russia trapped. Our living standards in Europe is crumbling. Russia is not planning to be in Ukraine for long. They are ramping up their military, getting in more men and the army is increasing size, experience and power. Russia didnt have as much military fist as we thought, but forced them create one and their army will be a force to reckon with after this war is over. They will probably by then have 1,5 milion military force. Battle hardened in the most intense combat since world war 2 with most modern technologies. They will have 20-30 times size of their previous military production and on top of that their are very quickly advancing and perfecting their systems. Russia is becoming the most battle ready military force in the world and we created it. This is not a trap for Russia. This is we being absolute shambles as per usual, underestimating Russia and thinking we can defeat them and digging our own grave. Lets just hope Europe and Russia can come up with new security treaty, because we are moving against towards ww3. Russia is not afghanistan. You wont be able to bog them down, because this is a military powerhouse. They are going to obliterate Ukraine and take as much as they want. To perpetuate the war indefinitely, the US needs something that is not possible: they need an infinite amount of Ukrainian human resources. Unfortunately for them, Ukrainian human resources are finite in number and are rapidly running out at a monstrous rate.

IMO the key is to focus on changing the minds of the Eurozone which I believe is easier than changing Ukrainian hearts and minds that think they are the victims of Russian aggression rather than the playing parts of the neocon experiment.

By the time Russians reach Western Ukraine, the Ukrainian army will be weaker than now, despite having mobilised pretty much everyone who is willing and able to fight. More of the regular population will have fled the country and in active combat zones the far out majority of the 'ordinary' people is usually evacuated to safer regions beforehand. And whatever popular uprising there might be does not have long range weapons, so they will have to come physically very close to the Russians to do anything. So I don't see the necessity to get 'bogged down' if the Russians keep taking a structured approach. They could defend without heavy losses and attack where it is appropriate.
