The Neos were a synth pop band from Binghamton, NY consisting of Bob Damiano (vocals, guitar) and Charlie Zayleskie (keyboards, vocals) with drummer/vocalist Mike English being added later for live shows. Active from 1983 to about 1987, their 1983 song "Just A Dream" was featured on a compilation LP "Rock To Riches" sponsored by Miller beer and local radio station WAAL-FM. "Just A Dream" won an 11-way listener competition for best song, but opportunities for a synth-based group were scarce in such a small market. The band broke up after making two accomplished and extremely rare cassette EPs of Rundgrenesque pop. "Just a Dream" is the only Neos track to receive an official release on vinyl. Damiano went into production and Zayleskie later played with several respected indie artists. The footage for this video for "Just A Dream" was shot in 1984 and only recently rediscovered. It is seen here for the first time.
