I totally agree with your stance about not prejudging a blaster before its in hand. too many nerf content creators cast judgement (often negative) on unreleased blasters (and even if they are proven wrong later like with the DZMK4, the damage is done)

It isn't just the pre judgment, it's the whole idea that such people, who form a small, but very vocal (mainly adult) minority of foam flingers, want Nerf to go in a particular direction to suit them, regardless of everyone else. Like spoiled children, when they don't get what they want, they selfishly go all out to lambast Hasbro and endlessly complain about each new blaster or dart design. If they don't like what standard Nerf is, why not just move on to something else, like airsoft, paintball or even Rival, Hyper or gel blasters? 🙄

Having watched out of darts video on the N series. It too Hasbro 3 years of development. The N dart was wind tunnel tested. The small hole in the back of the dart is to allow off gasing of the glue for the head. Hasbro themselves modified Kronos as test mules for this blaster in thr process to optimize the darts. Premature judgment has been cast on the N series. People don’t like change. But change is needed to keep competition fresh. Boomco was a bold move by Mattel. Sadly it didn’t work out. Can’t wait to try out the new blasters when they arrive in Canada.

I agree with you, Hasbro does need to try different things to keep the NERF product line going. The one take away from the Sprinter's box is I noticed is the blaster uses six (6) AA batteries. This is giving me hope for good performance out of the box, maybe the darts will also be accurate! One can only hope. Also we need another round of MEGA XL blasters, that line was abandoned too soon.

@@botsnblastersHow much extra speed and accuracy do you want? Is that what the majority of Nerf dart users need? As you said, there are already alternatives, Nerf Rival and Hyper, that generally provide both compared to standard Nerf blasters. I guess "hobbyists" won't be happy until everything travels at 200fps minimum and they can consistently hit a postage stamp sized target at 150 feet.

I completely agree with you! Hasbro and Nerf will always get the benefit of the doubt with me, I guess it's a character defect, But I will never hate on anything until I have it in hand and have experienced it myself. Even then I always try to find the good in bad, although Hasbro does make it difficult sometimes. 😂 If it wasn't for Nerf, none of us would be here, so Hasbro will always have a special place in my heart as my first love. 😊

I wholeheartedly agree with you, this Nerf bashing for the sake of it is tedious and annoying at best, outright damaging at worst. A certain minority in the Nerf world, ignore what Nerf is and what it's meant to be... because apparently they're "serious hobbyists" who know what's best for everyone. These people complain very loudly that nothing changes, and yet when it does, they complain it's not enough, not what THEY wanted. As if they are somehow representative of the majority. 🙄😡

I'm glad you understood thr message. This video obviously wasn't popular because of my "contrary" opinion on it despite me being in the community for years its always a surprise how fast people will tear a new blaster apart before it even hits store shelves.

I definitely agree, we should continue engaging companies to continue innovating. But the N-series does feel like a step in the wrong direction. But I’ll withhold my thoughts and feelings about it until they actually come out.

I have the hardest time trying to get my local club to be more open about lower fps game modes. Seems like the louder minorities just only wanna do the max fps and nothing else. As much as i love the other companies, i wish we could go back to playing with nerf blaster if you get what i mean

If Hasbro wanted their blasters to launch half darts, they would have made it do so out the box, because half darts already exist. If they wanted high fps and superb accuracy from "hobby grade" blasters, they would have just made them... but they didn't. Part of the fun of Nerf is the simplicity, that no matter what the blaster looks like, most Hasbro dart blasters perform similarly enough to keep things fair. Kids get the blasters they like the look of without worrying about it's comparative performance. They're suitable for use in the home, not just outside or in sports halls. Trying to make traditional Nerf into the equivalent of airsoft or paintball is a mistake. It could well be bad for the Nerf eco system as a whole.

I think at this point for me Nerf products are a pass. I rather buy performance with price in mind. I have thousands for half darts I aint buying new darts. I rather save up for going to events to play then invest in new ammo. Great video as always sir

innovation and adaptation is a keypoint of our hobby, sure. but also Nerf as a brand isn't a real factor in our hobby these days. This is the first hasbro blaster ive been exited for in a few years really. Though i mostly just care about it for the mod potential. IDAF about the ammo. I do just prefer half darts at this point. the hobby has adopted it as its standard form factor and talon mags are the standard for magazines. beyond HVZs or specific club based game modes other ammo types are irrelevant. innovation will happen even if we just focus on half darts. caring about a new ammo type that Hasbro wants to push because $$$$ is missing the forest for the trees IMO.

Totally feel this. Nerf as a brand has been pimped out on the street corners and it shows. Hasbruh is a company and they put their cashflow above their quality control and it's painfully obvious.

Yes, a big difference is that the Rayven isn't currently in production and isn't readily available on the shelves. Which means the vast majority of people will just buy the new version... even in the unlikely event that any of them know anything about the older ones. The majority don't care, they don't collect dozens of blasters and endlessly compare them.
