I like it that you describe this from the purely scientific standpoint. I'm not affected, but during school or work I encountered more than a handful of people with spinal cord injuries who were really discomfortable talking about this topic with their disability, but more often than enough asked by people, even strangers, without disability asked how "it works" for them? With this informative video on the topic, that is even easily understandable, the people who are asked this kind of questions could simple refer to this video instead of giving an elaborate answer about something on the more intimate side of things.
