Let´s be honest, its not that bad, its 2 building slots. in Every fully controlled cored state with more than 7 factories, so very few, but still, not complete crap, just mostly crap.
As a France Expanded dev (and extensive player of baguette nation), i can assure you the worst paths in vanilla are : 3. Capitulate and Vichy France 2. Capitulate and Free France 1. The legitimate heir I've done this one for the success, and my god this is peak boringness
I'm sure he already did legitimate heir run in some "Terrible focus" video, and, yes, it's the worst one, right near Viche, Free and Spanish throne for me, coz, after u annex Spain, there isn't really anything to do
Isp, I have a challenge for you, since you done no research, no focuses, license production only and more, you could try starting division template only (idealy as the Soviets, some China, France or Poland)
@@Pythagoras180 yeah but revolutionary zeal gives you a flat 10% attack buff on everything along with 10% attack on core territory, and then Egalité, Liberté, Solidarité gives you another 10% attack and defense on cores
The thing is, Orleanist France grants you a couple of war goals and enough stability to stay above 80% for the entire game, making it perfect for, say, a more defensive France playthrough. If you really want something borderline useless, try going for the "Légitimiste" path instead. You're guaranteed a war with Spain if the carlists don't win (which they never really do),then you either get them as a puppet or you have to wait for AI Spain to core all of it's lands back if you don't want it as "occupied territory" once you annex them through "Unite the crowns" and you don't get anything outside of that. Fun !
I mean its true, its just that path "revolution to the ultmost" that is pointless, not even too bad but just pointless, other path just do everything better
i just had a dream where you decided to play every releasable nation in africa A to Z and you started with albania for dream reasons , please make my dream real
ISP, if you want to do the French Union, I admise you to liberate all your occupied African territories as puppets before doing the focus. Like that, if you win, they'll gonna be annexed, and if you lose, they stay your puppets. (idk if you can liberate countries as puppets if you're the French Commune, but I did this with the democratic France and it worked perfectly)
I actually quite like playing France in hoi4 due to it's physical location and all the stuff you can mess with around you. Even so, despite doing dozens of playthroughs I never even noticed this path because the other two are so good in comparison. That being said after watching this I might have to give it a go.
Whoever is putting the informative titles over the clickbait shit that the video normally has is a saint btw, makes it super easy to actually find which video is which. Best plugin
4:13 In all fairness, that portrait/character is a somewhat recent addition, added around the time they released NSB because while they were researching Soviet politics for that DLC they realized that it actually didn't make a lot of sense to have a staunch supporter of the Soviet Union (Maurice Thorez, who was supported by Stalin) go against the Stalin line and so drew up René Nicod who was noted for being vehemently against the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. Also, making the constituent parts of the UK revolt, while probably not the most optimal way to play, is definitely one of the funnier things you can do as France, right up there with turning Germany into a mass of squabbling states as Napoléon.
Honestly i think this path would be 10x better if the civil war/referendum happened way earlier. And it really shkuld be able to considering the large CPF support at the start of the game
Funny enough, of all the funny and meme path France can take, the Communist one is the most accurate/plausible... But who wants to be communist when you can bring back the Empire eh?
just gave up a quarter of my life playing belgium i went facist and become a meat rider for germany and then i got all of the lowlands and part of france more like half and im the most powerful member of the axis currently
My favorite french path is in road to 56, go napoleon, Its so fun, no its op, but its still hard to beat Germany so i typically invite (poland romania and itlay to faction) and its easy win typically, but if u go solo its more of a struggle but it gives you more of a sense of accomplishment (you can take all of Belgium Netherlands and spain) before British guarantees, its so fun being able to be the offensive one with france
Yeah its stupid, it should be compliance based or there should be decisions to reinforce popularity in some states or smth. Instead of just blind luck that ruins the fun.
What? Vichy France is the "Worst path"? It's literally one of the most broken path in the entire game unless they fixed it. Getting all your tree's buff twice, along with some unique ones you get along the way is insane. Once you free yourself, you are literally the doom slayer, you can take crush Germany with a mere push.
I also can't remember if you've done the Kingdom of Franco-Spain as France, nor the Orleanist Path and the Fascist ones Someone name the episodes if he has
