In Episode 2 of Season 1 of The Never Ever Mets (OWN), we get a resolution to the disturbing cliffhanger from episode 1. We also see that most of these couples have significant issues they need to wade through that are mostly talked through with bull****. That means there was a lot to cover in this episode, even with skipping a lot of repetitive stuff. I have a feeling by the end of this season that dumpster fires will point and laugh at this show.

The first time you meet a man and he does DV, he is a monster. RUN!!! He did it while the cameras were rolling which says a whole lot.

Chile these couples are train wrecks…😂 Seinna was wrong for how they way she was talking to brandon by calling him a bytch. Chris and sandia shouldnt have even come if they weren’t exclusive. For any woman who gets in a relationship with dominique has my deepest sympathy.

@LunatheLoungeSinger I agree, but it's also a slightly double edged sword for it not to be there. Without it, Dominique's real side may not have come out during the show and she would have been in a world of trouble if they'd left together.

most of the comments you wrote around the dv issue were inappropriate and not funny. And you ended with a dv 'joke'? smh.

@highsnob5717 I can agree with your assessment that you don't like it, but the show took that all very flippantly and that's what I was commenting on (through each cast member's eyes as they related their feelings). They're not my thoughts about DV, they're what I think are the closest representations to how I viewed the thoughts of the people who went through it had about the DV. In no situation should that have been allowed to happen in the show and it shows an utter lack of forethought that it was able to escalate to the level it did with no one on the crew doing anything about it the moment he began holding her the way he did before the big turn (the scene probably happened over at least a half hour in real life). Sets like these demand 24 hour security, and it's very clear they didn't have anything like that. There's a behind-the-scenes story with this production company that I can share about when Puck was ejected from The Real World in Season 3. After he was kicked out, he came back with a gun. That crew turned the cams off and he left. This crew would have gotten as many cams on it as possible, because they completely lost their ethics plot. Again, you may not like the way I handled the DV aspect of this, but my intent was to show the show's reckless disregard for the cast members' safety that could have ended up in a much worse situation. And I don't think my thoughts were that far off of what was going through many of the cast members' heads when I was translating them. Some of the guys blew it off like no big deal (Gregg especially when talking about being 'checked', which is why he got that closing line). Others were contradictory about their 'advice'. Even the lead up with Ta'Rhonda spent several minutes building to, 'well, you're gone due to this no touching policy' as opposed to just removing the cast members and telling us in the next episode or having that be the first thing that was said in the scene. Dominique's 'apology' was an absolute joke and I wanted to highlight that as much as possible to show how reckless the show was and how regardless of what he said that he didn't learn anything at all from it. I've had to cover several incidents in the shows I cover on this channel, and the reactions to those have been polarizing sometimes (sometimes I handle them very seriously to make points and sometimes I handle them with a mixture of comedy, depending on how far they go). That goes with the territory and I accept your criticisms. I'm in no way condoning DV and sincerely hope you didn't get that from what I did. If I feel an incident shouldn't be covered, I won't do it (a cast member in RTL last season was sexually assaulted on cam and while they removed the cast member essentially right away with a double elimination that week, they treated it very poorly at the reunion), but the show spent an inordinate amount of time playing up a very disturbing incident for drama and that meant I couldn't ignore it. It also really didn't help that several of the cast members appeared to be coached in their interviews (Shay and Gregg especially). Alexis is very fortunate she wasn't seriously hurt in the incident, since no one stepped in at all to stop it (Josh wasn't stopping anything at his size), and I'm glad she got away from him so early because it wasn't going to get better from there.

@@NotreadyTolove The show was flippant and that also irked TF out of me. I also hated that they let that situation ride while that girl was getting assaulted for quite awhile and no one from production or the cast stepped in. I'm aware of your video style and enjoy it, but in this case, I was hoping you'd take a more serious tone for that situatiton. Dominque is clearly a sociopath and has done this before . If there were no cameras around he would've beaten her up badly. I appreciate you responding to my comment. Sidebar, the girl from the Bronx is just as abusive, only verbally. I couldn't believe how she flew off the handle just because he pointed out her inconsistencies and kept carrying later at the table. She is the definition of toxic.

@highsnob5717 I was quite irked by the show as well. There's a tightrope I try to walk with incidents like this and sometimes it's not successful. In no way was I making light of what happened with Alexis, my intent was making light of everyone else's reactions to it. I was trying to make commentary on the idea that some of the guys were probably like, 'well he didn't actually hit her, so maybe they can get past it'. For a moment in the Ta'Rhonda scene, I was almost sure we were gonna get a 'can we fix it?' moment like Tommy does. The way it looked to me (editing probably cut a lot of context) was that Alexis was hedging about whether she was really through with Dominique and they tried hard to make it look like she knew she had to go. I can definitely see an instance where they talked to her after the incident and she decided she wanted to try again and that was when they came up with the no touching policy, not giving her a choice. His apology and interviews related to her were so bad and tasteless that it was clear he didn't care at all about what happened. To him it was more like 'why did you push my buttons so hard?' instead of saying, 'I'm an idiot, I don't know what I was thinking, I'm sorry, but we really shouldn't be together'. On a lot of my comedy I tried in the episode, sometimes in that scene, I tried to take it to multiple levels in that episode, where you might need to watch a couple of times to get the meaning (in many instances there were both literal and figurative meanings in the same translation). In the case of the ending, I knew it was a tasteless ending (the show is tasteless), but I thought it was almost a perfecting ending to the video and one that I weighed before deciding on doing it. Brandan is basically trapped in a house for 3 weeks with a woman who has no interest in him and is shaming him on TV at every opportunity. Gregg's brain is kind of warped and in his 'quick thinking', he's like, 'if you really wanna get out of this, you now know a guaranteed way to get off the show'. It was tasteless but in character with the show, in my opinion. I do think Sienna isn't really inconsistent, but the connection between her brain and mouth is tenuous and probably gets her into a lot of trouble (she's very New York lol). I'm sure she told Brandan that if they were a real thing that she'd be willing to move. By the time they got to the cooking class, she knew he wasn't and that was that. He was completely unwilling to compromise on his own life and probably only heard what he wanted to hear about their future prospects. It was wild for him to be talking about not wanting to go to the 'boom boom room' with her after she called him a b, that he wasn't turned on. That dude wasn't ever getting near a boom boom room with her and the fact he seemingly can't see that is wild.
