If you take out all the stuff in Fantasia, you have the story of a boy whose dad has newly remarried and has moved into a new house where the son now has a bratty sibling. On top of that, he has to go through the trouble of attending a new school, including dealing with bullies, all while some supernatural shit is going on and he and his bratty sister have to put aside their differences to work together to stop the evil force. What I'm trying to say is this is not so much a Neverending Story sequel as it is an episode of Goosebumps.
The movie should have been titled “The Neverending Story III: Atreyu Forgotten” since Atreyu wasn’t in it and not even talked about in the movie. It was like Atreyu left Fantasia then everyone there forgot that he ever existed.
@abobjenkins I watched it at school. The teacher who put it on just told us we were watching The Neverending Story. I don't even remember seeing the title
There was a problem when I uploaded this last night with some people not being able to hear my voice track depending on what device they used to watch the vid (mono or stereo). Fixed the audio channels, sorry for the false alarm upload, thanks for waiting and watching!
I'm so thankful that this channel exists. I don't even care about the long stretches between uploads, cause when you do upload. its always the funniest video I've seen that day. another great video, mark!!!!!!!!!
Lol so when I was a kid, I never got to watch The NeverEnding Story 1 or 2 but for some reason my parents bought my sister and I the third one. So for years I thought that the third one was the original NeverEnding story and I was really confused as to why everyone liked it so much, lol. I have a very distinct memory of the really cringey rock family trying to eat Mount Rushmore
Subscribing. Just awesome. Btw- @15:18 I actually had that exact moment happen with my teenage kids and that was my response verbatim. I'm a great dad!
15:31 "So now Nicole goes into Bastian's room. Probably to steal one of his Ace of Base CDs." This is the moment I liked and subscribed. *sigh* I mean what else can I say except that I opened up my eyes and saw the sign.
_"You know what? Today I'm going to skip school, and spend the day in a different school."_ I honestly kinda wish I had thought to do that. Would have been pretty funny.
The Megamind reference had me laughing way harder than it should've 😂😂

It's interesting. I saw the review of the second movie and thought "Hey, I have to watch the review of the third one. I haven't seen it yet and I would like to know what it's like." It actually took me a while to realise that I did indeed see the third movie. I just deleted it from my mind. As I am watching this review, I start to remember why.
Mark...Great to have you back to the show! You know, Jaden smith used to be that cute little boy in the Pursuit of Hapiness with his father...but then came the karate kid reboot... it just is terrible. Makes absolutely no sense what so ever. This is a must review! Again, great to have you back Mark!!!!😄😄😄😄
At 10:15, I had to pause the video because that was sooo funny. The whole video was hilarious. I'm definitely getting sucked into you channel. Great job! xD
Oh, I remember this movie. I hadn't thought about it in years, and yet it all comes rushing back to me. One thing not mentioned here is a "joke" that I found immature even when I watched the movie as a child. When the two gnome characters go into the real world, they get trapped in a cardboard box, and every few scenes they scream about how they need a bathroom... and their final scene, after they're transported home, shows them running back to their cave and closing the doors to adjacent outhouse stalls. The entire plotline of these characters --- the only reason they were included in the movie at all --- was bathroom humour. Seriously.
Same I saw it but the memory of me watching are coming back while watching this review. Our brain probably suppressed those memories... To protect us 😅
I just found this video, and looked up how old the actress who played the Childlike Empress was in this movie. She was 22. This movie was made 10 years after the original, and this actress is only one year younger than the original.
Holy Shit!!! Did Mark predict TENET by Christopher Nolan in 2017 at this point... 6:09 ... in this video?? Or was he talking about something else? Holy Shit!!!
Another thing that bothers me about this squeal is that they don't bring up anything Bastian's dad learned in the last film. In the last film Bastian's dad discovered that Fantasia was real and Bastain was right all along about it. Here his dad just completely forgets about all that and he never talks about it again. It's ridiculous.
I actually did that!! Me and my other friend met these 2 girls from a different school and we spent the day walking around her school and getting in a few of her classes.
The whole thing of the guy asking not to use the internet for next couple of hours, i felt that. Phone modem was like, if you used internet then phone connection would be jammed or something. 90s internet was really special
This movie was so bad that it was released in Germany in 1994, ten years after the first film and three years after the second film, but in the US it wasn't released in theatres until late 1996 (earning possibly as little as a five-digit Box Office intake), and then a full three years later was released on VHS in 1997... by which time nobody gave a good goddamn who Jason James Richter was. Fun fact: the new voice of Falkor was the actor who played Jek Porkins in the original 1977 "Star Wars". Sadly we didn't get one single "Almost there" from Falkor the entire film.
You have to see some Neil Breen movies; not just Marks reviews. He’s made quite a few, and they have the production value and acting ability; of a small local business making their own commercials. Then add in a Lead Actor-Writer-Producer-Director-Financier who has a messiah complex, and a fetish for 18-22yr olds having crushes on him(+50yrs old, out of shape) They are epic journeys info a mans fetishes and psyche.
It's like they already had the movie poster art done and had to quickly shoe-horn in the goofy looking kid at the last minuet because mom and dad bitched and complained he wasn't on the poster for this truly awful film.
The funniest thing is that I was born in 93, and my brother 96, and somehow this is the one we found and watched repeatedly as little kids, this is the ONLY one we know. Lol! This was such a laugh 😂 🤣
What I find really ironic about the "childlike" empress' actress in part 3 is while she doesn't at all look childlike she actually looks alot more like what she did in part 1 than part 2 did.
Ok I have one random question. 13:03 who the heck is the tree? And where did Atreyu go? He was like the main character of the first movie and suddenly doesn’t exist (or maybe he does, I haven’t see 2 or 3) ... unless the tree is Atreyu-
I'm not sure what they were going for in this movie. Fantasia characters on Earth coupled with a silly teen movie doesn't work or even feel like it goes with the first 2 movies.
Yeah, the "see this movie because it has a guy famous for another movie" reminds me of another movie. The other movie was a rendition of Tarzan and the trailer voice over literally said, "featuring Casper Van Dien of Starship Troopers!" You know your movie sucks if you have to bill it with a tagline to another movie.
