I met Alexei via his son once a few years back on vacation in Saint-Tropez, I was surprised by how friendly and open he was, he discussed politics and business so openly and was nothing like I had imagined, meeting him completely changed my often warped perception of the Russian's, he was not remotely unapproachable or scary - just a nice chap with an unimaginably clever head on his shoulders - his new yacht is simply stunning, hope they have many happy voyages on her.
It's fugly, what are you on about. The three colour tones for a start don't go with each other. They have tried to hide the helicopter bay by creating a large sweeping charcoal lump, just to make it look top heavy. It's a complete mess. As a designer I would be happy to bet that the client at some early point started sticking his oar in and the builders lost the will to live and gave in to him.
I enjoyed this video, thank you. I would like to request to see more close ups in the future please. The close ups are fascinating to watch. The walking along side it on the harbour wall was great to see, thank you.
World class Yacht , I want to be invited on board with my son Lewis and Daughter Kayla, this would be truly special for them. Thanks Alexei if you can when you have some time. Ian From Milton Keynes U.K
I just cant help thinking the elevation appears to be way to much in the vein of a simple triangle....and I wonder (of course this is designed by a great firm and etc etc etc etc) the aesthetic of such a symmetrical ( somewhat...if you know what I mean you know what I mean) craft just seems 'aesthetically' lacking consideration. How do others feel? From the comments I get the feeling everyone is just throwing praise at a 'private yacht' which is massive....but what about a ship of the same size....which there are plenty of....would you do the same??
I'm not a fan. The aircraft carrier-like bow is undeniably ugly, and the retracting canopy over the helideck looks cheap and slapdash. Isn't there room for a heli hanger in that ugly bow?
@@visionist7 great vision, Visionist. Yes, just another spend as much as you can commercially developed monstrosity. Boat building is not immune to such practice nor is real estate, both commercial and residential. However if you want you private yacht to look like a cruise ship, maybe this yard is your perfect choice. 😂😂
Crazy , why does it have to be so big .If i were that rich i would be happy with a 30 mtr boat ,the other 100 i would share it with poor people. I will never understand such greedy people .
I think there is a limit at which these kinds of conspicuous expenditures are ridiculous. Hard to justify to those who are scratching around just to eat. Everything is relative...I acknowledge however.
@@RLTtizME Lurssen employs over 1600 people. The upkeep is more than just the crew, millions of dollars are spent each year which employs many many jobs.
You missed the whole point of having a intimate trip the boat could probably sleep 600 people why would you do something like that just because you have the money to do it? I honestly would never ever consider doing anything like that if I had all the money in the world but to each their own🙄🤷🏼♂️✌🏼
