Hell, if I had $4k laying around, I'd put one to good use! I'm going to try and demo one while at Snowshoe for the World XC & DH Championships (as a spectator).

Did you already try to run 27,5 in the back and 29 at the front? As its kinda becoming a thing in Enduro and Downhill Racing and nowadays a lot of bike are capable of 29 and 27,5 wheels.

yeah... but these videos gave me inspiration to see what craigslist and FB marketplace had to offer, found some crazy good bikes that used to be 5000$ for as low as 500$ as people upgrade to the new stuff ;) I'm back in the trail after 10 years

Kona hasn't really changed the geometry on this bike and I think it's because it rides so good. I picked up a used 2020 CR/DL just like in the review, I've only had it for a few months but I love it. I hadn't watched the review before riding it and I must say that Mike nailed this review. Going to try out the MegNeg on the superdeluxe to see what that does, and yes I got it Lost Co. Great shop... great service.

You hitting that bike park with the 153 was the ultimate selling point for me and is be of the main reasons I bought my Process 153 DL (Aluminum) last week. Now I’m worried if I should switch it for the 134. I want something that will be fun and reckless on the bike parks but also make those pinpoint turns. I knew I should have waited till he end of the year to make a decision! P.s. I show everyone your 153 bike park video to people who ask what bike I decided on. Sick video, man.

Always got love for Kona. Remember back in the days, 10-15 years ago all the cool kids on the block had the Kona Shred or Kona Stuff as dirt jump bikes. Myself? No i had to settle for a 200buck random ”mountain bike inspired”-bike. Nowadays, i Dont think any of the local bike shops where i live sell Kona. So they are a pretty rare sight here. Unfortunately

Nice review, always liked Kona, wish my local area actually had them, live in SoCal and didn't want to order online without actually riding one. I'm old school and Kona has always made killer bikes! Agreed on having a longer travel bike and a mid travel jib bike, My Ghost FRAMR6 with 170/160 rear, is my mini DH bike that can climb when needed and my Niner RIP RDO with 150/140 rear is my go to all around bike now.

MTBRider same here, I’m sold on both, but not sure which one. Looking at this for my first full suspension bike. I do mostly trails , but would visit a bike park maybe 2-3 a year not sure if I should just get the 153 or just the 134. Maybe it can handle a few visits to the park?

Which of these guys would you suggest to someone who lives in Squamish and bikes across coastal BC? I've got an 'aggresive' trail bike (160 front, 150 rea) now and a DH rig for Whistler bike park. I want something that can handle everything outside of the park (but still take it in there sometimes for a mission over to Khyber/Kashmir). I live around some pretty enormous terrain. I like a snappy and smooth ride. I get myself in some scary situations sometimes - so having a bigger bike to bail me out is attractive. Great review!

I have a 2019 Process 153 DL for exactly this purpose, and it's unreal! Personally I think the 134 wouldn't be quite enough bike for some of the gnarlier stuff in the area, but it does look sick.

A little late to the party but I just need to throw this out there somewhere. I just got a 2021 process 134 and it is not very progressive. I had to make sure and check that there wasn't a volume spacer in the negative chamber because blows through the mid stroke far too easy and I have it set at 20% sag. Going back to a stumpy asap.

I feel a resurgence of shorter travel stout bikes coming on. I just swapped my 180/180mm 27.5 Enduro bike out with a 140/130mm SC 5010 and loving it. I feel like 140-160mm is really the perfect amount of travel for a 27.5 unless you're doing stupid stuff

I love it... looks like a blast, they've come a long way from the old Stinky Deluxe's. I have a parts question that I think you might have an opinion... Hayes Dominion A4 with 4 17mm piston brakes? it seems like they got a lot of attention when they were first being released, but then very few reviews and not many bike companies pushed them on their bikes?? was this a result of low quality? or Sram and shimano giving bike/media companies deals ? They look like monster brakes and have good warranty would love to know your opinion, have you tried them?

With all the (stupid) long and (stupid) slack (point and shoot) bikes setting the market right now, I find myself loving my present bikes more. And finding a 2020 bike, that still pops, is a real treat. Knolly Fugitive fits the bill... the Process fits the bill... Rocky still has a couple options, ie; the Instinct. I'll be keeping an eye on Kona this year. (another) new bike is coming.

Why did they change the rear shock from where it previously was in 2019: parallel to the top tube? Oddly that top tube design is what EVERYBODY'S bike utilized in pinkbike's video a few days ago where they interviewed some Bellingham locals to see what they were riding.

@williamvangorden44
@williamvangorden44 4 года назад
It would be great if it had a front derailleur because more options. Instead of limitations. I'm saying this because I have a condo with a ay3 by set up I have not had a problem with it so for that type of style by catfish and the current style one by set up which is not a practical and a sense becauseWinter jam pops off and you have to stop and put the chain back on physically versus using your thumb to put the chain back on the ring I Love options sorry I can't settle for lack of practicality.

I am a beginner rider so I am learning and don’t have a particular style of riding yet. I know you have ridden all three and would like your honest opinion which would be the best of 3 really good bikes. Thanks for another good video.

Depends on the trail. 29inches on flow trails goes faster and goes over anything. 27.5 is nimbler and easier to react to changes. They both have their place so whatever trails you ride most and your riding style should determine your choice. Personally I like a bike i can throw around.
