I’ve always been hesitant about buying a white gold piece due to them flying under the radar...... However, I would definitely buy this piece and keep it as part of my permanent collection...... Rolex killed it with this piece!
my new Favorite Sub .. by far... this is the best of all worlds.... gold (heft), steel (looks), and color bezel .. it's a no brainer "Grail Sub"... much better than the Hulk, or Kermit..
I picked mine up yesterday and I love it! In real life it doesn't look like steel - there is a slight yellow tint to it. And it's got a sparkle that steel watches don't have. Amazing watch. I will never sell it so I don't care about market value
Since when it was released I thought it was the most beautiful among all. Nice to see that I'm not the only one that noticed it! I think that when the market will stabilize, it will trade at 10% over retail. Can you imagine if they had done that combination in steel?
the best thing that you did is making your own channel, crm were getting all the credits on what you made and tbh the new recruits they aren't even close to the game
Recently I went to my Rolex ad and they brought out for fun this factory Rolex submariner smurf with a sapphire bezel and diamond lugs. That watch is a heavy heavy hitter I haven’t even seen it before. Retail is 98000.
I own the 126619lb since a week now, at first the clasp and wider bracelet were strange …not gonna lie. Specialy since i owned the GMT 116710Ln with the small and thin clasp compared to this.. but now it grew on me and i prettymuch just love it!
Glad you pointed out how people ask about 'over retail'. The Rolex market is no longer about enthusiasts who love a watch and want to wear it, its just about the 'investment'.
It's difficult. I have a really good connection to my dealer and therefor i have not that big problem to get the "hot pieces". And sure, if offered....i buy them. Possible that this watch is not goeing under my skin after a few weeks.....it's no problem for my dealer releationship to sell a Omega, Breitling, Panerai. But a Rolex? Making a huge profit (even far more than the AD) it is not the best idea, chance be kicked out of the delivery chain. ;-)
Yet most of the pieces do end up on the grey market, so clearly these preferred customers who get the hot pieces are selling them off, and quickly. Once its out the door, dealers don't care what happens. I suspect that most of the time they know that watch is going to be resold in a matter of weeks.
I think it’s probably the nicest one from the current Sub collection. The problem once again is the hype and premium. If the situation were pre-2018 and I could buy one for 28-30 I would seriously consider it. For over 40/50 no way.
Having people getting into the watch world more and more makes people willing to have different watches from what we are used to see . It's a rolex , we all know that the blue dial is white gold . You can count on people ( even if they don't know much about it because they just follow the current trend ) to know that it's gold . On top of that , you have a stealthy look having a white gold watch .
Most people I’ve encountered think my steel DJ 41 is white gold. They’re not watch people though. Most people think all rolexs are precious metals due to the price of the watch.
I prefer yellow or rose, for the same reason you mentioned, I dont want to spend the extra money for something that looks so much like stainless steel. I feel the same way about jewelry. My girl likes white gold but it looks like sterling silver

Great video Eric, wonderful work and love to see you have your own channel. Your videos have the ideal length for me not too long, too the points which are important like a puncher throwing direct hits. Love your work and keep it up! As far as the new subs go I definitely prefer the new black dial with either blue of green bezel. The all blue Smurf and all green Hulk were just a bit too much of funfair watches to me. But then again I'm biased because I'm a GMT guy and a sucker for a plain dial with a colored bezel so yeah no wonder. Too me this new variation really fits well with the white gold as Eric describes it a more sleek 'under the radar look', because there is still the yellow gold variant with a blue dial & blue bezel as a more 'in your face' look. Even more diversification, I love it.

Quite interestingly...I thought it would garner a HUGE premium over its current Rolex AD MSRP of $42,000 here in the USA. Instead, it's now one of the LEAST EXPENSIVE FULL GOLD ROLEX sport watches sold in the current grey market, regularly selling for well UNDER Rolex MSRP. I've been eyeing a 2022 MINT/LIGHTLY USED for a $32,950 wire price direct to a highly reputable grey market dealer I've done business with in the past. And prices seem to be dropping further by the day on this specific White gold Submariner model, while the Stainless Steel Subs continue to sell at a significant premium OVER MSRP. I'm not sure why...maybe somebody can address that??? And again...I think this is a STUNNING watch!! Just beautiful!
I like both white gold Rolexes. I like the Rolex Smurf that has the blue dial and bezel and I like Rolex Royal blue bezel and black dial. You can't go wrong with Rolex.
This watch looks sick but I think will continue to underperform retail on the secondary market. The two tone 126613LB Bluesy is more of a Miami watch if you ask me. Cheers.

Blueberry. Fantastic and I'm not usually a fan boy of all the usual Rolex suspect's. But love Rolex sports design overall. Desirable because it's gold and looks like steel which is so hard to get. It will go up. I love the yellow gold GMT with green dial.
I have a batman blnr but no jubilee What do you think of the value now on the old batman compared to the 72 hour power reserve is only difference correct? Sale or keep for future price increases??
Eric, is there any difference in height, shape or diameter Smurf bezel vs. the new one? My 36mm Turn-O-Graph and my 40mm Yachtmaster...same sized crystal, hands, dial and even the jubilee/oyster could be changed.
I am thinking about swapping my smurf for this new version. I think the new version is more versatile, while the smurf is a true summer watch. Tough decision though, because I love my smurf.

I think the new Smurf is ok. Out of all the new white gold Rolex models though my favorite is the Pepsi with with the meteorite dial. It looked a bit weird in pictures, but man does it look and feel great on the wrist. You should review one, I’m sure you’d like it too 👍🏻
Love this watch but the 40K USD retail 2024 doesn’t make sense, especially over a Kermit/Starbucks at 15K. Also as we speak this watch is 25-30% below retail which is great! I think at the 20K USD it makes sense second hand, currently at 29 there’s still a lot of room to go down. If anyone paid 10-15K over retail that sucks loll
“Why does it always have to be……” Because you can buy a good timekeeping waterproof(to a depth any scuba diver will go) watch for $50. We are talking about something with the same functionality for the additional price of a decent car.

Rolex is keeping them rare, so demand will be up and will go over retail. When you buy retail and it’s selling for 50-100% over retail, it’s just a cherry on top and makes the purchase a no brainer
Low profile luxury is another level, I like it. People know is good, people don’t know it, just let them pass 😁 This is how we treat them as their cars always block us on the roads and streets.

I own the Smurf. I prefer it to the new white gold Sub. That said, I may buy one given I've already purchased all of the other new Subs. I also own the Hulk and the new ceramic Kermit...and I prefer the Hulk. I think the Smurf wins over the new white gold because it's more unique looking. Same with the Hulk over the ceramic Kermit; the sunburst green dial is stunning on the Hulk whereas the new ceramic Kermit simply slaps on a different bezel. I put a video comparing those two on my channel.
This one caught my eye since introduced.. 💙 And I think if Rolex have released this one - The "BMW" as I love to call it - alone as a sole change of the submariner lineup, without altering other models it would have become a hit. Just this .. 41mm black dial blue bezel white gold People would sit for years and anticipate for the next upcoming 41 mm .. gmt? Coke ?!.
Eric, recently a guy I saw on a RU-vid video said that he bought a high end sports car hoping that it would help him attract women, but that when he finally got the car, he found that it attracted men instead !! I've always wondered if luxury watches are virtually the same thing. (??)

I bought my first Rolex after watching Jams Bond. Buy what you really like and do not take advice that may be not for your long term taste. i have never tired of the Submariner since I bought one in 1975.
