I was really having trouble deciding which staccato I wanted to buy for my first one between these three. This review really helped now my decision down! Thank you.
Good morning Luke!! You’re welcome sir. I’m glad my video helped provide some more insight into making your decision. Thanks for watching. Have a great day brother.
Good afternoon. My honest opinion on this is that I don’t believe it’s worth the money to go from the C2 to the C. Don’t get me wrong the new C is a great build but not too much innovation went behind it. As far as the grip, it’s perfect for smaller hands as well as larger hard because of the tac grip. I have larger hands and I thought the smaller grip would not work well for me. It’s a great change but in my opinion that’s where it stops. I would recommend the new C to someone who didn’t have a C2. I would only get it because I collect guns. Thanks for the question and for watching.
I always enjoy your videos for detailed information on the Staccato line. I purchased my Heritage 4.15 from Reggi at Bunker...really love this version. When purchased mine, Bunker was one of a few dealers in the country that had a few in stock...I was torn on waiting for the "New C" or making a factory order for a custom CS from Staccato-DLC Barrel, X Serrations, flat trigger! I chose the CS and have not looked back. I feel the CS 3.5 barrel is the perfect length for this model with the added benefit of the Dawson Precision Recoil System. The pistol is Perfect! Your information was very helpful in making these expensive choices! Thank you for the very informative videos!
Hey John!! Thank you!! I appreciate it. I would have definitely considered the Heritage if I didn’t have the P already. Bunker always keeps those Staccato’s in stock. I agree about the CS as that would have been my first choice of the three. I thought the CS recoil would have been hard to managed but it surprised me after the first couple of rounds. You are welcome good brother. Thanks for the feedback. Have a great weekend.
Great review I'm still undecided on CS 2024 or new 2024 C. The new C with 4 inch barrel should be better for recoil and getting shots back down, correct? Awesome review. Ports would be nice.
Hey Denver. Thank you sir!! Greatly appreciated. Yes you are correct. The new C with the 4 inch is more manageable recoil than the CS. Shots down range are faster. Thanks for watching.
@@teamblacksmithllc between the C2 and the full size C. I am torn between these guns. A Gen 5 Glock full size grip feels just right for comparison. I have held a c2 and it felt pretty great. I am curious if the C full size is going to be closer to the Glock width without feeling too small? I tried the Sig p365 line at it just was way too thin. My fear with getting a C but it is very attractive
@benporter4905 Good morning!! I’m my opinion, the full size grip on the new C should be comparable to the Glock full size grip. I agree about SIG p365 models. The new C and C2 will definitely manage the recoil much better. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
Great video. I have the P Heritage, the C2 that I sent back to staccato to put a full size grip on, and the new C but the full size grip version. I want to either get the CS or the C with the smaller grip. Or the two, which would you prefer?
@@fearnonebutone4977 thank you!! I appreciate it. For the CS and C, I prefer the smaller grip as well to be more concealable. I thought the smaller grip would be a problem because of my larger hands. The new tact grip definitely makes a difference when maintaining my grip. Thanks for sharing your opinion and watching.
@@teamblacksmithllcperfect! Thank you. I have large hands as well, but that Tac grip is sweet. Going for the CS. Then saving for the XC. Besides HK’s, I’ve pretty much sold off all my other handguns because I shoot the staccatos better. Had to carry Glocks my whole LE career, so I had a bunch but the staccato just shoots so well for me that I don’t see the point of having them anymore. I keep the HK’s because they are tanks. lol.
@fearnonebutone4977 you are going love the XC especially with the tact grip. I agree about the HKs, they are tanks. I never got use to handling Glocks but I did pick up the Glock 34 Combat Master.
Yes. I picked it up about a year ago. I can actually run this one pretty well in comparison to a standard Glock 34. Here is the link to my review on it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nO7l2xNV7ZU.htmlsi=k6nxOJBsFvWdocku
@@rccaraddict294 out of these three it would be the CS. Out of all the models it is the XC. The XC is the pinnacle of all their models. The XC is one of my best in my collection. Depending on your purpose for it, the XC checks off a lot of boxes. Home defense, EDC, tactical and even a competition gun. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
Hey my Brother!! You are welcome!! Thank you for watching. For me, the difference is between the grips. The are both polymer grips but the new C has been updated to Staccato’s Tac grip that allows me to maintain a more secure grip for better control. The Tac grips makes up for the C grip being slightly thinner for someone like me with large hands. Thanks again for watching.
Good morning Samir. Shooting them side by side, the recoil is about equal. They are both a little snapper but surprisingly the CS is just as soft shooting as the new C. Thanks for watching my brother. Have a blessed and prosperous day.
Great video, thanks for sharing. Just subbed. I saw your other comments regarding comparison to the C2. What about compared to the P model? P still shoot flatter/faster?
Thanks my brother. I appreciate it. Thanks for sub!!🙏🏽💯💯. The P definitely shoots faster and flatter. I haven’t got the Staccato P out in a while but will have to get her out the safe. Thanks for the watching.
How’s it shoot compared to the C2, any noticeable difference? I’m waiting for the full size grip in the fall, then sending directly to Monsoon Tactical for ports!
In my opinion, they shoot about the same and the recoil is about equal. I didn’t feel any significant differences between the two. My only personal preference is the new tac grip of the C feels 100% better to me. I have to consider Monsoon for my next upgrade. Thanks for watching.
@@teamblacksmithllc right, thanks for the reply. I figured it would, external extractor and the grip texture like you mentioned is nice. My C2 has the Lucky 7’s ports from Monsoon and a full size grip from MJD. Totally transformed the gun. Also the extended slide stop from Triarc is a game changer for reloads. No more support hand dropping the slide home. Highly recommend all 3. 🤘
@@dsparker08 unfortunately they are not interchangeable. The C2 is slightly smaller. The I would check out Dawson Precision to see if they have a compatible recoil assembly.
Awesome video and even more awesome to know you’re in eastern pa. I’m stuck between the c2 and the new c compact. On one hand the new c has an external extractor and the slimmer grip but the c2 has mags that are compatible across the other models so you can run the higher capacity mags.
Hey Kevin. Thank you!! Thank you!! Greatly appreciate the feedback. Yeah the mag dilemma 😫. Tough decision. I have a ton of the standard Staccato mags so only having a hand full on the new ones is not what I wanted. I will have to bite the bullet and buy some more new ones. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend.
Great video! 🔥 Brother I’m torn between the CS & the new C. It will be my first Staccato. Both will be concealed in a shoulder bag not on person. That being said is the recoil that different with C to the CS? I’m kinda looking for the closest to that butter smooth the company is known for. With that, which out of the two would you most recommend?
Thanks my brother. I appreciate it. Very exciting times for your first Staccato. Surprisingly, there is not too much difference in felt recoil between the two. I’m giving the edge to the CS though because of being more concealable and having the one piece recoil system by Dawson Precision. It really makes a huge difference especially with the smaller size of the CS. Now if you have slightly larger hands, I would recommend the new C. Below is the link to my CS review. I hope this helps. Thanks again for watching. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eXh92V87hv4.html
@@teamblacksmithllc will look at it now! Would you say the CS has less snappyness than the regular P365? That has been my EDC for a minute now. That would probably narrow my decision down lol
@hellomate8698 If you’re talking about the P365 X-Macro, I would say the CS is less snappier. I actually like them both as I rotate between them for my EDC.
How would you compare the Staccato lineup to the Wilson Combat EDC X9 lineup that you've handled/owned before? Staccato has really blown it out of the water, but I'm split between the two. Good stuff.
@@Sercer25 good morning!! I have anWilson Combat EDC X9L it’s one of those custom builds that are very underrated. The fit and finish, great trigger, and build quality is one of the best on the market. In comparison to the Staccato lineup, Wilson comes in second in overall handling and performance. Although, the EDC X9L is heavier than the Staccato P it is more snappier than my Staccato P. The Wilson does not have a full length guide rod while the Staccato does. If Wilson would change their recoil system it would make a huge difference in recoil management. Finally the cost factor, Staccato beats Wilson by a wide margin coming in at half the cost. My choice would be Staccato in all models in comparison to the Wilson lineup. Thanks for watching.
You got that fast I knew it was coming but didn't know that staccato finally released it!! Great review!! My man has every gun that staccato makes😂💯👏lol I always make my comment before your video is done😂
Joseph!! Good morning!! The Bunker Gun Shop is probably the number one distributor for Staccato on the east coast. They loaned this one to me for the review. I’m not sure if I will add this one to my collection yet. As always, thank you for your continued support and feedback.
I would love to have a patch sir, I have aCS and I am very happy with it. Do you do any competitive shooting and if so do you use any of your staccato. God Bless !
Hey my brother. Congrats on your CS. One of my best EDCs. I do competitive shooting and will mainly use my XC for competitions. By far the best all around Staccato. For the patch, Please send your mailing address to mrblackson@teamblacksmithllc.com.
Staccato. If reading this . Please offer ports . That being said I’m not a fan of that recoil system. Looks hit or miss if it comes out without a paper clip. Great review sir . Always enjoy your videos.
Good morning!! Thanks for watching. I usually never have a hard time removing a recoil spring, but it’s interesting that the hole to drop the clip is there for a reason. It could have been just me not working it out properly. Thanks again. Have a great day.
@@teamblacksmithllc absolutely we all have those days . Like you said they put it for a reason. Don’t get me wrong staccato has been my favorite firearm for the 3 years I owned my P . That’s a disappointing move though for a new upgrade version.
Kingdom Defense!! What’s good my brother!! Thank you sir!! You got to let me know what you decide to go with. You know your 2011s bro. Thanks for watching. Have a blessed night!!
Kaiya!! Thank you!! I rotate my CS with my Bul UL and S&P M&P9. Keep me updated when you get it. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Thanks again.
When I get the chance to get the larger frame version this might be a go. I have a CS and P. This would probably take over as my daily driver. Excellent content btw. I agree with your assessment on the guide rod system and ports!
Hey brother. I may consider upgrading my C2 to the new C but still on the fence. If I can get a go trade for my C2 then it will be a go. Thanks for watching. I appreciate your feedback.
Thanks for the video great work getting that baby so fast! More interested in the full size grip to be honest. Given the CS and C have non-compatible mags with prior models and other double stacks not sure why I wouldn't go over to the Bul line as they don't have compatible mags either? Be well sir.
Thank you!! The Bunker Gun Shop gives me the opportunity to review the new Staccato releases. These new mags are good to a point be the I agree on the non-compatible. That gets a little frustrating. I wasn’t sure about Bul doing the same thing. I have their earlier models and will be getting a 2024 model soon. Take care and thanks for watching.
Great video. I have a request for a future video. Please do a video that shows your equipment (competition belt and setup)& ammo that you need/use for your competitions
@teamblacksmithllc You too man, great vid and earned a sub! Idk if the Dawson precision recoil assemblies would be available aftermarket or not but if it's possible I'd throw that in there as well as a threaded barrel and have it be my one gun for ever situation. Micro comp thread protector for CC during the day, then get home pop a can on it and boom perfect nightstand gun! Just gotta wait and see what happens 👀👀🔥
Another home run. Best review of all 3 for comparison thus far. I dropped you an email for a patch also..We have to get together so you can shoot the original C and the C2 with a full sized grip with grip reduction by Matt Adams. Both are sweet .
Hey bro. Thank you!! I got your email. I will be sending them out on Monday. I will be catching up to you after I get some competitions in over the next couple of weekends. Thanks again bro. I appreciate your support. Have a great weekend.
I was really interested in the C but it took too long to drop (for me). So I went Kimber KDS9C rail version, which I purchased for $1500 out the door. After taking it to the range with a buddy’s C2 , I’ve no buyers remorse whatsoever. So far no failures or QC issues. Plus that’s a K saved to go towards ammo 🤣.
Hey GingerBread Man!! Great name BTW. I’m hearing and seeing positive reviews on the Kimber. I haven’t considered taking a look at it. I would say the new C is a little better than the C2 but that is just my personal experience shooting them side by side. It’s good to hear that the Kimber KFS9C is a solid option and the saving for the ammo is a HUGE plus.✊🏽✊🏽. I appreciate your feedback. Thanks for watching.
@@teamblacksmithllc Appreciate ya! The KDS9C is getting overlooked a bit I think due to Kimber’s previous QC issues & gets lost in the mix with the other innovative DS 1911’s that dropped last year in that 11 to 1300 space running Glock & Sig mags. That said if you get the chance to range & table top one I’d be interested in your thoughts. Either way I dig your channel & I’m subbed up
Good morning!! I never tried to change a grip before but from the videos I saw it does look to difficult. A since it’s technically the same grip it should be even easier. Let me know if you decide to do it. Keep me updated. Thanks for watching.
Good morning!! I have not tried that but in an earlier review I swapped the CS slide with the C2 slide. It may be possible but I never shot it with the swapped slides though. Didn’t want to risk messing it up. Thanks for watching.
@@teamblacksmithllc saw that and that looks sweet already have my cs and love it maybe I’ll wait to see if the c does an island barrel. Great video! Definitely New subscriber!

@@MichaelSmith-cq4zk yeah the C is definitely a great pick for someone that doesn’t have the CS. You may to get a custom holster. Thanks for watching bro.
Nice options on the C and it looks good. Wish they would of gone with the full dust cover but still looks good. Check out United Firearms and their grenade ports, would look good on the new C.
In my opinion, the recoil is about equal. I didn’t feel any significant differences between the two. My only personal preference is the new tac grip of the C felt better to me. Thanks for watching.
Good morning Mr.Blackson @ 4:27 Even Charter Arms just released a .380 revolver with ports, it's definitely seems to be getting common. The island barrel would definitely be sweet, the idea alone of less mass going up in the air (muzzle flip) from the slide weight difference is top notch innovation that I crave. I'd love a patch please, I'll email you right meow!
Good morning Jordon!! Interesting having ports on a revolver but I like it. I’m going to check that one out. In my opinion, the island barrel and ports I believe are the greatest innovations for handguns. Thanks for your feedback and watching. I will be mailing out your patch this Monday.
@@teamblacksmithllc hey rock on I appreciate that! Yeah you should check out that Charter Arms company, it's a budget revolver company but just released the ported version and might be there first. Can't confirm that. I would be more interested if it comes out with colored frames and a high polish barrel and cylinder with either white/black pear grips. 🤤🤤 Have a good Friday!!
I think ports are in trend and on the uptick right now in a major way but I think eventually (in a few years) they'll start to go in the opposite direction on EDC guns specifically when more 'inexperienced' people realize ports throw shrapnel. I've learned this first hand with seeing injuries at classes to people from other peoples ported pistols throwing shrapnel. Not saying ports are bad, just that they're are consequences to porting that come along with chasing a 'flatter' muzzle rise when in proximity to other people (or to yourself).
Good afternoon. Great feedback. Thank you. I do agree about the shrapnel but I’ve only experienced that with chunk ports and my comps in my race guns. I never had that issue with v-porting but good to know. Thanks again for the info and watching.
Good morning!! You are welcome!! Hit up the Bunker Gun Shop in Warminster, PA. They should have a few in stock. They will ship to your FFL. Ask for Chris or Frank. Thanks for watching.
Good morning Albert. In my opinion, the new C would be second to the Bul Armory EDC Pro. Bul guns are reaching new levels as far as innovation and production quality. Something that Staccato is falling short of. Don’t get me wrong, Staccato’s are amazing guns but Bul guns are not only less expensive but had the same great quality. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend.
@@teamblacksmithllc thank you so much for your detailed reply Sir! Very helpful! I saw C has an external extractor that Bul EDC Pro doesn’t, what do you think of that? Would that impact the performance of the pistol
Good morning Jim. Surprisingly, very slight difference but I would give the edge to the CS due to the recoil system. I truly thought the new C would have significantly less recoil than the CS. Overall both guns are solid in the performance category. I hope this helped. Thanks for watching.
@@Warlokk1675 I don’t believe it is. I haven’t seen any yet from Staccato about it. As soon as it’s out there, I will be getting it. 😂😂. Thanks for watching.

@@teamblacksmithllc so is the DP recoil system just the spring that differs from the others smaller staccatos?do you think noticeable difference from the C?
@ChristianFidanza-t1j the DP recoil system is all one part compared to the others which are three individual parts. For me, there was a noticeable difference between the C and CS. I feel the CS softer recoil than the C and C2. I had more control and accuracy with the CS.
Can anybody tell me the c & cs says it has an extra wide frame does that mean the aftermarket aluminum grip modules won’t fit? Figured someone will know

Thanks for demonstrating what a pain it is to remove the one-piece as you called it a "somewhat toolless guide rod." Not sure why you keep saying "user error." It looks like a mechanical issue. You convinced me to pass on the new C.
@@bradleyp14 good morning!! Yeah that was more difficult than it should have been. Saying user error is my knee jerk reaction when I think something should be easy to do.😂. It is still a great gun but you think Staccato would have did a better job on the guide rod. Thanks for taking the to watch. I appreciate your feedback.
Does anyone show how many fingers you can get on a C short grip, CS, C2 ??? At least get a G19 and comp your hand on a C short grip. Can you get your pinky on a C short grip? Can you get your pinky on a Glock 19 ??
That was my initial concerns. I have large hands and I can get all my fingers, strong and support hand on C, C2 and C grip. I don’t have a Glock 19 so someone else will have to weigh in on that. Thanks for watching. I appreciate the questions.
No that helps a lot . My hands look similar to yours. Large glove will fit but the fingers are never long enough. Extra large gloves are too wide and the fingers ain’t still long enough. I’ve got a solid lead on a short grip C that’s part of a fire sale and it’s good to know that my pinky will fit. TY
THE ONLY DOWN SIDE OR I HISITATE BUYING THE CS & C IS COMPATIBILITY OF TH E MAGAZINE I HAVE BUNCH OF 2011 STI ATLAS MAGAZINE WHICH I CAN NOT USE TO THOSE MODEL C&CS.

If the dual spring system is superior as they claim, will someone explain why they dropped it in their larger ggns and the new C doesn't use it even though it is virtually the same size as the C-2. I mean come on, 1 tenth of an inch longer? Rally??? They could have at least used the truly superior system of the Dawson Precision Recoil System! KnifeMaker
Good morning Michael. I totally agree with you. Why not carry over the new recoil system to the new C? I would not have thought Staccato would drop the ball on this one. I don’t like pushing something new that is not truly innovative. Thanks for your feedback. Have a great day and weekend ahead.
No. I am sponsored by the Bunker Gun Shop. They are Staccato’s number dealer on the east coast. Maybe one day I will be sponsored by Staccato. Thanks for watching.
Your right. No real difference as far as the grip. Colin Noir gave a review on it touching on why Staccato made this model for law enforcement wanting a larger size. This was a great opportunity for Staccato to do something completely different from the CS and C2. Thanks for your feedback.
@@teamblacksmithllc While the sizes may be close isn't the whole point of this (the new "C") to be on the new magazine model? The C2 uses the standard full size 2011 and double stack magazine. The C will not work with standard 2011 or double stack mags only the CS and new Staccato mags.
Grip size is less bulky since the magazines are thinner. and personally fits my hands better than the c2/p sized grips I think that was the purpose of this new line. Originally the staccato mags were made for 45 and 38 super so the grips were wider now they redesigned the mags to be thinner with just 9mm in mind
Great review sir... Just wish the public would get off the staccato 🍆 riding train. Wilson makes far better guns and doesn't attract the yeti bros.
