What is the "Track Video" function on the app? Im looking to purchase this gimbal and wondering (though im doubtful) -Does this mean you can select a subject and have the gimbal automatically follow that subject?
Nowhere in your presentation did you mention the importance of the “motor tune” button, to be used every time the camera mass is changed as it tunes the control system to suit the camera and should sort the vibration problems experienced. Although in red in the manual it is not clear which button it means. It will vibrate initially after pressing the button, it should be ok afterwards.
I have a small Sony ZV-1 mirrorless camera, and I was just wondering if it will work with this gimbal. I will be upgrading in the future and this review really helped clear my mind on what I’m looking for in a gimbal.
Great tutorial! I like that you show how it works after instruction. I bought this unit and plan to use it on my Olympus E-M1 MKIII. However, this camera is not compatible with some of the automated features and that is okay. I have a couple questions. 1) My camera has image stablization-5 axile. Will I need to turn off the IBIS system? 2) I video working dogs. They will move left to right, slow or fast, and over jumps. I will be hand holding the gimbal and walking along as the dog moves. Is Mode FPV (pan/tilt/roll) the best setting to use?
Thanks for your comment John! 1) What I would suggest, is do a test shot with IBIS on and off and see which works better for you? 2) Yes, FPV Mode will be the best way to get those shots with moving dogs. Some factors that might decide which mode to use, is how far you stand from the dogs to take the shots, and if you have an ultrawide lens etc etc. Trial and error!
The balancing is driving me nuts. I’ll balance it to where it doesn’t move when I unlock it and then not touch it at all and then unlock it a second time and it flips out and around. Nothing is changing in terms of my measurement. Everything is tight and secure too
Take off the lens cover before balancing and also take it off before turning on the gimbal. Or it could be that the screws are not tightened very well so sometimes a millimeter off changes the weight distribution.
It’s also possible that you could have received a defective product? Always reach out to the company usually they can accommodate especially if bought off Amazon
Thank you for your review. I purchased one of these gimbals a couple of months ago. Overall it has worked well, but recently the tilt axis motor has started humming. I have also noticed that if I leave the gimbal in a stationary position (like on a table or similar flat surface), the pan axis will wander to the left about 15 degrees. Any thoughts on what might cause that to happen?
I bought one. Spent an hour finding a lens that would actually work with my canon r8 then balancing. Only to find out it was defective. Vibrating uncontrollably for no reason. returned and won't be messing with Feiyutech again.
Am sure by now you've seen the mini. Which would you choose if using same camera on both? For example a6300 with 18-105mm f4 pz. Very interested in your thoughts on this. Thanks ...
Great video and explains it all really well. One question I had is when powering off the gimbal with the camera attached, how does the gimbal behave? Is it best to remove the camera then power off? Just want to make sure I'm doing it right to avoid damaging the gimbal. Thanks in advance.
Thank you! I usually turn it off with the camera still on, but I just hold the plate so the camera doesn't dramatically swing, because the lens will smash into the body of the gimbal, and then I carefully take the camera off. I think if you try take it off whilst the gimbal is still on, it could cause more damage with the motors trying to stabilize everything whilst your making movements - if that makes sense?
Ah I see - then no, you can't do that from the gimbal itself, you can only do it from the app via bluetooth. And no you can't attach a monitor to this arm unfortunately

I'm looking into buying a gimbal for my Sony A6100. This was great information, thank you! It is unclear to me with all the gimbals I'm looking into whether I can control the zoom of the lens from the gimbal. Any idea on this? From Feiyu's site, it looked like the magic wheel could be used for this too. Any idea if that's the case?
Great information thanks! One question! In the A to B mode for movement. Lets say that I am doing a time lapse. Can I make sure that movement of the gimbal takes place lets say every 23 seconds while the photo exposition time is 20 seconds? so has 3 seconds between shots to move? Thanks!

Hi there! The vibration happens because the balancing is not 100% correct. I had it a few times too. Have a look at the Video Tutorials here: geni.us/JuJmPAN - and watch the Gimbal Balancing video, and try to follow exactly how they show it. This is how I prevented the vibrating. Hope this helps!
Thank you for the review. Would it work with larger cameras like Canon 80D? Which is together with the lense makes 1.3 kg? The weight seems ok, I'm curious mostly about the size of the camera.
Hi, no worries! Yeah the 80D should be absolutely fine. As long as the max weight with camera and lens isn't more than 2kg, I think the size of your camera will not be an issue.
I have Canon 80D + Tamron 17-50. Pretty heavy setup. The gimbal was humming and vibrating. Then I learned a little balancing trick, and now it is balanced and works smoothly. I show it at my channel btw
I have a canon 80D and just purchased this gimbal. None of the connector cables that came with the gimbal are compatible as the 80D has the MINI USB not the MICRO USB. I’m really upset and based on reviews and the language barrier, I don’t expect to get help from the company. In some descriptions they list the 80D amongst compatible cameras but it is missing from others. I have painfully realized that it should not be in any list of compatibility with this gimbal.
@@shedshow1439 I also have 80d. True there was no compatible cable with the gimbal. However you can buy required cable in any electronics store. Though I wonder what compatibility you expect to have? Recording with button on handle, adjusting aperture from handle? I still didn't buy a cable just because I don't see much use of such connection.

hi I've bought the Scorp C gimbal, paired with my Fujifilm XS-10, but I'm having problems with the button to shot/start/stop video. I connected the gimbal via USB but the red button doesn't work for that purpose, neither fullway nor halfway pressure on it. I've already updated the firmware to the latest release on both the gimbal and the camera, but nothing seems changed! Anyone with the same or similar issue? tips to fix the problem? Thank's

@@ScottSalvi you need to change setting on your camera first ...Movie2- 1)SteadyShot (Active)-2)Zoom Range -Digital zoom. Then you can connect your gimbal .
Did you make sure to follow the specific balancing technique found in their balancing tutorial video on their website? Thats what helped me stop the vibrations. (Link in description)
its really important to follow each step of balancing and make sure that the black screws are really tight. also adjust the motor strength via the app helps me a lot

It actually does a great job with motion stabilization in my opinion. Better than my previous Feiyutech gimbal for sure. The design of it makes it more stable, along with the new algorithm. Weight is average, but it's lighter than what I'm used to, so also a win on that part. Hope that helps!
In fact if I ask this to have your opinion on this new feiyutech scorp because I hesitate between either taking this new feiyutech and between dj ronnin sc? I am looking for someone who will advise me to take between these two gimbal? :/
Both are good gimbals - but from an ergonomic POV, the Feiyutech Scorp is better because its so much easier to hold with the arm and gives your footage a smoother capture!
I bought the Feiyu SCORP Pro Ring, this is the worse design for a ring gimbal!! This thing has broken on me 3 times!! I am tired of having to buy it over and over!! Don't waste your money on this gimbal. Also the customer service is horrible they are based out of China there is no phone number here in America that you can call.. One time I had to send my gimbal in to get fixed and it took months before they return it. Considering how popular they are here in America you would think they would have some offices here.. Bottom line the customer service is the worst ever!!! will never buy Feiyutech again! Feiyu SCORP is Trash!!

Yeah the manufacture video gives only one angle and I needed closed caption in the beginning. Sounds like he's saying "layers" instead of "lens." I was hoping for another angle or two...Ahh well!
