I think motorola is slowly become what old OG oneplus used to be. Not enthusiast centric, but providing good experience that too on a budget. Using moto from last 2 years and still runs great, also have bought 2 more for family members and they are happy too. I really appreciate prateek for involving his team in the videos. Feels good. And you guys are really under-rated

One main problem with Motorola is they dont give new features via updates, rather they release new device to advertise the features.

I have a moto edge 30 ultra, runs flawlessly, Got android 14 few months back. Its perfect. Moto has added just enough of their features and not made android bloated. I wish their camera app was little better though.

Moto should give this update for older models also for the first hand, still haven't a14 update on my moto edge 30 pro

I am using Moto Edge 40 Neo for last 7 months and only downside of device is Lack of App Lock and Android 14 Update. Other than that it's a really good midrange phone. Motorola needs to work on their Software Update Situation, it's really frustrating for us users.

I was previously a Moto loyalist with Moto G2, G4, X4. All of them were phenomenal phones with great everyday utility. The bad part were sub-par cameras and the lazy update policies. I'd happily go back to Moto if the software policy were swifter and dependable for 4-5 years.

Moto is doing some great stuff lately but still very much online focused. For premium experience they have to level up store presence at least in metros.

I didn't knew that One UI and Moto Myui are so similar. I am getting more and more excited to try moto flagship features while I have a budget one.

I have S24U & a A30, so from experience would agree that for budget and midrange Hello UI might be better. ONE UI on budget phone sucks as it is VERY heavy. At the same time, for flagship I think ONE UI is still the best skin for customization. And I've tried DeX with my LG webOs TV and it works not sure why you said it only works with Samsung tv

This is true. One UI stutters and is sluggish at times in budget and midrange devices. Nothing OS, Hello ui, realme UI. etc every other UI snappier under 30k segment. One Ui lags even in s21 fe 30k segment device. Samsung need to make its UI lighter

motorolla phones are really good indeed. happy to see they are bringing these nice features in their mobile phones.. i use a samsung phone myself because of camera and oneui being the plus point.. i really hope that other androids also offer these things..

for me smartphone UI is the only thing to consider in this age where every phone has same sort of specs, smartphones are good nowadays you don't have to worry about anything like camera performance these things are decent in every single phone maybe some phones are better in some things but it doesn't matter there is not so drastic change that it can influence your decision of buying a phone

One major problem with moto is accessories. I lost my charger for my moto edge 40 almost 6 months ago and I'm still hunting for it. About the updates i do got timely security patches and OS updates. So moto is really working on it. The display and camera is great while the battery drains faster which is kinda irritating that I should carry my charger with me all the time

I really love the Motorola phone and I am using one currently and the optimisation is really good. All they need to work on now is camera, when used with Gcam app the camera is really good, 100x better than the default camera app.

Moto's Hello UI now became a proper custom rom. Most of those features are also available in custom roms from a long time. But its really fine tuned here tbh

I USED TO HAVE MOTO EDGE 40.... AND IT GOT STOLE FEW MONTHS BACK.... FOR ME MOTO UI AND FEATURES FOR MID RANGE ARE WAY BETTER THAN OTHER PHONE AT THE SAME PRICE... AH I MISS MY PHONE😢😭

Galaxy AI is a very niche feature and is not worth mentioning. HelloUI should really try providing timely updates then it may be able to give OneUI a run for its money. Its really good to know that OneUI finally has some decent competition to shake them out of complacency. BTW, most of the laptop interaction can be carried out on an app called KDE Connect. It is made by KDE Team and is fully open-source (it makes software for Linux like KDE Plasma). This is much better than to let companies that answer to any foreign government (specially to the Chinese and American) peek at your data. It does everything except maybe the screencasting (haven't tried that out).

When comes to dex vs ready for. Ready for really stands out! The categorised controls eg: tv, game, cam etc. Is the real game changer from moto .

Actually, this UI funda does not get so much attention while buying a phone but it plays a crucial part in using the daily for long periods of time. Bad UI makes a good phone unusable and vice versa. My current phone falls behind in the UI area and my prime consideration for my next phone is UI/UX.

I agree the fact that motorola has come a long way in terms of improvement. But here is a major problem which i face in my phone(Motorola Edge 40 neo): The WhatsApp and other social media app do not run in background somehow and only when we open the app it runs causing delayed notifications and irregular functionality. And it still runs on Android 13. Everyone with this mobile has the problem.

Is motorola only available in India? I tried to order the edge pro from their website(Am in Kenya). The order did not go through.

I have used moto edge 30 ultra for 2 years and except for call recording option Motorola was always a good UI. I switched to S23 ultra only because of call recording, Samsung wallet and quick updates. So until Motorola does something for native call recording without announcement (you never know you need this feature very much especially for business people like us) no UI can beat One UI ever.

Amazing Video. Thanks for that. Samsung and one ui fan here. But Really happy to see such thing from Motorola. So I can now recommend something other than Samsung in mid and budget range. But few things still where samsung rocks. Service. Updates. Customizations. Few user friendly things. And best of all Knox security.

I recently bought the Moto g84 5g and I can say I'm totally satisfied. I bought it for a price of 18k and it was probably the best at that time and price. All these features u told, the design and the camera, all too good. It's specs were mind blowing and once I installed the GCam, it was giving high competition to my friends with their Iphones 😎😎. I must say Moto is getting real good just one catch is the software updates.

Samsung dex works with any windows laptop and cast TV, infact on laptop theres a dex app to which it connects via USB C for 0 latency although there is controller wala issue.

I'm sad because my edge 40 wont be receiving hello ui in it even though this phone is not that old 😑

Samsung UI gives very niche features without thinking about giving basic features like Inbuilt internet-speed-meter and app-lock haven't been given even today which is available since MIUI 6 or earlier in MIUI... Also Moto's doesn't have many basic features as Samsung... For power users, OneUI is worst, it is bulky which makes it very sluggish on budget or mid-range phones, also some flagship features are exclusive for flagship phones...

It's good to see some competition..

The S22 series also got AI features in One UI 6.1.

I have has the s24 for about a month in UK for a flagship top money I can't say the phone lagged but there was a definite stutter or if you open a lot of apps there a hang animations need to catch up wasn't a good experience when you pay £799 yet the edge 50 Fusion I have had for a week no stutters no hang no animations issue for £300 how is that possible, Samsung is conglomerate how can it not get it right yet?

For dex, you don't need samsung laptop. I am using on HP laptop since Galaxy S9+. Also, I am using dex on sony tv and mi TV. so, not sure about mircast exculsivity but compatibility is way higher than what it looks like from this video. again, I have tested with two phones, S9+ and S23U. Also, Dex works with the USB-C hub monitor that I have. Just plugin the USB C cable and it would work fine. ALso, it would work on any USB-C hub which you can connect with HDMI-Standard monitor, and keyboard mouse wired/wireless. So Connectivity with Dex is awesome. Also, you can enable QuadHD mode with goodlock on Dex. So, added benefit. Also, it worked with ultra wide monitor that I have. I haven't tried `use phone as webcam` feature yet. Not even sure if that is on samsung device with dex or via some apps. Not sure about Motorola, hence can't comment on that. but dex is for sure far more compatible than what is shown in this video.

I think it's great that it's open source kind of like how Samsung used to be. But Galaxy AI, on time software updates, can't just be good at one thing you have to be good at everything, and only Samsung and a lot more Apple, do that.

Ecosystem Fekusystem lol! Anyone else try the Motorola L7's "ecosystem" CD Drive in 2005 on any decent Windows XP PC? It allowed you to send text, MMS, images, contacts, browsers, calls, you could even see a real life sized screen and buttons of your shiny L7! And even earlier back in 2003 Nokia offered similar features on phones like Nokia 7600, it could even transfer content sans the SAR quota radio waves on infrared. Despite the innovation Im yet to see similar integration between smartwatchphones and AR glasses, maybe sooner than Woman on and or over the moon?

Why no one talks about issues with software and hardware issue with moto? My father's g40 fusion no longer shows option to use/set fingerprint lock even when it has physical fingerprint sensor. My sister's g54 5g no longer shows hi res 50mp mode in camera. Both happened for no reason, probably due to some software update.

IMPORTANT CORRECTION: The features you showed that works ONLY WITH Samsung Laptop, Tablet and Phone can be run on ANY WINDOWS PC. You just have to SIDELOAD the apps on your WINDOWS PC/LAPTOP and you can use those features with any Laptop/PC

Instead of bringing in new OS for newer phones, Moto should provide timely software and security updates to it's older phones first.

I had the moto edge neo 40 and I was not able to connect it to tablet or monitor...with Dex you just put the USB from monitor into the phone and it just works...I think moto needs windows but of course a stand alone monitor does not have windows. And for the tablet, downloadwd the required app but was unable to make it work. Gave up after several hours trying...

Will the Moto Edge 30 Pro get this aswell?
