I remember going in the old Sarah's Restaurant in the early 2000s when it was The Three Cooks. The full english breakfasts from here were lovely. With the chrome window frames and doors, it reminded me of the offices of The Daily Planet in Superman (1978). I also remember where the stairs were, there was a semi circular shape seat under them which overlooked Iceland and HMV. In tge early 2000s, Middlesbrough was a lovely town centre and I preferred it to Sunderland. Thanks for the videos, Mike!
I have a pair of the orange ones from 2007 I think. I wear them infrequently. The collar on the back is disintegrating. Other than that the shoe is still comfy. I wish could have them fixed since they are still in pristine condition otherwise. Sucks!
Definitely. Those burgundy ones saw some use when I bought them as they were my first and brought with them a whole new style. Of course, their use dwindled a little as I bought more (especially the blue classics) but they still get used weekly for one trip or another. I find them comfortable to drive in so used them for a 400 mile road trip last week.
To which pair are you referring to please? The Burgandy pair that are worn? Or the Blue Classics I threw away? I think the costs associated with the replacement of a sole on a training shoe would far outweigh the value of the shoe. Especially when you consider the use that I'd already got from them. Not to mention the sole would not match the original. There's also the fact that I have several other pairs, waiting in line for their turn so there was no real reason to do that. I'd be more tempted to get the defective second pair of Blue Classics repaired I think.
Not worth it. All top “sneaker/runner” companies use cheap leather even a baby could rip it up. They also use contact cement instead of stitching the sole to the upper.
