Lmfaooooo what? Putting development time into a game that reaches a wider audience is not only a smarter business strategy, but will literally entertain more people. But yes im a bully for wanting a batman beyond game 🤣🤣🤣
(Note that I'm not trying to bash the video. My anger is pointed elsewhere.) I agree with a lot of those points, but as much as I would love to have another great Arkham game, it might not be as simple as "Convince them to make an Arkham game." Gotham Knights and Kill the Justice League had horrible writing and incompetent level design. If the same studios were to make an Arkham game, it would likely have similar problems because they lost a lot of talented people. Yes, I would like another good Arkham game. No, I do not trust them to make it.
Bang on. The entire games industry has turned its back on thousands of talented devs. Some of them even 20 year veterans. A LOT of these studios have straight up lost the teams and team dynamics that made great games.
It's not even the online part. It's that sweet baby inc is involved. They make all games woke. What more annoying is ppl are judging a game that ain't even out yet
@@matthewzablocki5310 People judged Suicide Squad before it released, and boy it saved plenty of people their hard-earned money. And besides the game being woke, it's also just a really shitty game that spat on the Arkham series.

I’m excited for it. I will probably never get a VR headset but I’m just excited for new lore that doesn’t butcher the universe. We were never promised a new Arkham game so why is everyone so surprised that it’s only VR. I don’t get the anger. At least the Arkham series isn’t dead.
I can't care about new content if it's on a thing I don't own it might as well be dead. What can I say I don't like watching let's plays I actually like to play games not watch them.

@@CorrionReap how about the fact that this game was made for PSVR, which is very backward in technology, which can only be used by looking directly at the camera and used with PSmoves, and in general was made at the beginning of the emergence of VR games and is rather an hour-long demo.
Arkham fans are also on quest 3. If there are arkham fans that don't have a Quest 3 that want to play the game, they can buy a Quest 3 like it'd always been since the beginning of playing video games. Quest 3 deserves exclusive games, too. This isn't a new or even complicated process.
Why can’t they give us a Batman game that builds on the Arkham blueprint, but also adds the new tech that’s available and also implements what has make other companies games great. An engaging story that is shaped by the players choices and every decision has a meaningful impact on the ending of the game. Imagine adding all that up with also having them giving us the option to play as playboy Bruce Wayne to tackle some portions of the game. Going to a high end party with two baddies on the Lambo and choosing to play it casual or act a fool…. Okay, I’m wilding but one can only dream 😂

Honestly why wouldn't this piss people off you have a game series that came out on everything and now all of a sudden one game is an exclusive to a thing now.
The other batman vr games blows chunks, this one does not look any better. Instead of making a shit vr game having to do with a great franchise, how about we make original vr games. Or simply make a batman vr game not tied to the arkham series.
@@bobmclovinelectricboogaloothe point is VR is growing. People have been constantly complaining there aren't major titles on Quest. I have a quest 3 and I am looking forward to this. I loved the Iron Man game and i think having a full fledged Batman in VR is going to be incredible. I understand VR isnt for everybody but for those who love it like myself im super excited for this. Along with Alien VR and Metro Awakening its looking like a very good year for VR users.

Pfft lol. 1. It's a Quest game, not available on PC 2." A first person batman game where you press punch and kick buttons?" Lol have fun with that one.
people always complain when there’s something exclusive to one medium or the other. we have almost nothing for ourselves in VR. If you can't play it too bad. we don’t get to complain when console and PC get new high quality games. So why should they? And I bet all those people complaining and no problem crapping all over that terrible Suicide Squad game. these are the kind of people that look for reasons to complain because they like their own voice.
"I've played all the Arkham games" "Cool, if you want to keep that achievement you better buy a brand new $500 VR headset plus the game, batteries, and a pc"
This is another example of corporations not listening to fans/consumers. We are not viewed as people who enjoy a product/IP and have emotional reactions to it. We are viewed as ATMs to be punched in the stomach and regurgitate money. I have a friend who used to work for a big comic book company and he overheard a chief editor say something to the effect, ...Why should I care what the fans think! They all are nothing but nerds living in their mother's basement!" I believe this is the attitude of many executives who run many famous IPs we all grew up on (Star Trek, Star Wars, anything Marvel, anything DC, Doctor Who, to name a few). When you look at the quality of story, presentation and execution, it makes you wonder why are they wasting time and good money on bad concepts. It is unfortunate that all we can do is not buy their "product" and and let them experience the loss. But the problem with that is that we have to deal with the bad product on the market, they will refuse to take it off the market. At least the developers of Afro Samurai 2 apologized and removed their game from market. DC/WB perceive themselves as too big to fail....it is a matter of time.

A slap in the face? Really? No dude, it sucks but I think we’re all just bummed. Not offended or something lol. Imagine getting that upset about a Batman Video game being in vr that you equate it to being physically hit. 🙄
It's crazy to me that after shitting all over the Arkham series with Suicide Squad the lobotomites at Rocksteady thought it was a brilliant idea to do this. I hope this company goes defunct before 2025.
Completed the main single player story of suicide squad. Ranked up in the finite story line. Have almost 6k kills as Harley Quinn and I am in the low end of the kill ranks for players. Let me guess, your infinite knowledge of the suicide squad game came from your ability to stare at a screen awhile not experiencing the game for yourself. I am sorry that your will has bent to the will of others and you will not play this game. But for many of us, we gave it a try and love it. Almost everything RU-vidrs that hate in it is wrong. But you will never know, or maybe you are one of the millions of people that have played the game and now have intimate knowledge of how bad you think the game is. (Funny how I always find people like this in the comment threads.) Amazing how apparently no one played the game but everyone seems to have played the game and knows it sucked.
It’s funny how ive been a Batman fan for 14 years and this happens it’s coming to Vr that’s going to make so many fans that are excited for that game and they will experience what Batman goes through but in 1st person and it’s probably going to change the virtual reality world forever
I replay Batman arkham series these days . . And wow what a drop from grace for a legendary character and franshise .. batman arkham knight consider for me top notch superhero fantasy experience of all time and nothing can beat that .
Honestly that's how I feel about Arkham origins because of the boss fights and honestly all the Arkham games before Arkham Knight because of story Bing is good as they are.

Nothing they will do will make you happy. You must have the game a certain way or you will not be happy. @@OrionDawn15 actually you are right on several points. Companies do put crap development teams in position. This has been done for years and fans loved the games. Game play sucked, stories were horrible, but they had graphics so they were praised. Even the RU-vidrs praised them. There were many great games without the high end graphics and were called horrible because of this. The he shiny wasn’t there. Suicide squad, you say had nothing to like. Obviously you haven’t played the game. Graphics were not top of the line but well above crap. Most boss fights were challenging and fun. All but one. The story was decent. Not top of the line greatness, but it was decent. Characters: plenty of interaction. Some serious moments, some silly. They felt like the characters they were supposed to be based off of. Combat, this is where the game shines. It is fluid as you shoot, punch, and kick your way between enemies. I use Harley Quinn most of the time. Her fighting is style is Batman’s from previous game with a bit more smoothness. Missions themselves. Here is where the game fails. Missions in campaign mode are basic but does move the story forward. I never had at any point a halted progression like some RU-vidrs stated. The side missions are as they stated, copies of the main ones. Post campaign are much like the side missions. Carbon copies of each other. Doesn’t matter which world you are on, they are the same. Now if you compare this game to batman Arkham. Batman: Graphics: decent. Story: basic. Arkham riots, batman goes in and beats up bad guys(some of them well beyond his level), then he wins. A really basic batman story. Characters: does a decent job here. But character interaction is limited to cut scenes. Gameplay: fun yet basic for its time. Combat: done well, yet I remember many issues when it came to targeting with fast moving characters. I would have to replay the game yet again to give specifics. If you played it you know them. Missions: story driven without much freedom. Why was the game so popular? Batman. That was really the only reason. If it was any other style game the rating would of been lower. We just loved playing as batman seeing his enemies. Other than that nothing truly stands out. Batman Arkham city. Most of the previous ratings fit here. Nothing really changed. Again it is a batman game so fans said it was great. Hell I loved both games. Played them many times, I confess I never beat either one. Had gotten pretty far in them. Compare the three. Graphics: about the same. Cut scenes are. Are more polished in SS but that is because of tech. Will let it slide. Story. All three are rather basic stories for DC comics. Nothing truly stands out in any of the three. Characters: they all resemble who they are supposed to be. SS: you can see the heroes try to fight the conditioning forces on them. Batman acts like an evil version and when you pay attention in the game, the good version sees it coming and creates his fail safes to take down all the evil versions. Evil Batman even antagonizes the villains like he always does. Plot armor gone, he gets killed instead of just getting punched so he can break out. Combat: there are more options to do in SS based on character. Comparing just Harley to Batman, their styles resemble each other except Harley gets guns and explosives(which actually do kill). Missions: all basic. Why does the Batman games get higher marks? Two reasons. 1: Batman. We love playing as Batman. 2: RU-vidrs campaign to destroy SS. They are caught up in the destruction of the woke agenda on the video game world. They were not getting traction against Hollywood so they turned their attention towards protecting games. Not upset about this at all. They saw one of the woke crap groups attached to the game and attacked. When the game was first announced they loved the idea. Before and in spite of most of them not playing the game they destroyed it. Destroyed its rep. People like you defend this style of attacks without even trying the game. How do we take yours and their opinions seriously?
@@AzraealGamer That woke group butchered the characters, story and lore indexes. Have you read Luthor's index on Amazonians or whatever-the-fuck? Do you see how awful and out of character it is? Visually it's alright, gameplay wise? Godawful. The characters are meh, but the dialogue isn't good. Also isn't boomarang boy part of a group that don't kill or at least respect Flash? Yet he hates Flash here. And Deadshot isn't black in Arkham, he was a white dude. Also shark guy is supposed to be dead, and also he can use the fuckin' green lantern ring somehow? The combat in Arkham games were simple but difficult to master. They were satisfying and cool to watch and offered decent challenge. The stealth segments are really cool too, and using all of your gadgets in combat or stealth to take down entire rooms was really cool. I agree with the targeting though, it's not great. Gameplay in SS basically amounted to jumping around on rooftops, shooting things and being flashbanged by awful UI design. Lets not pretend the backlash happened JUST because one of the parties was woke. It was disrespectful to the Arkham universe and dared to say it was canon when there are far, far too many lore inconsistencies to be canon. And the game itself is just not good, at best it was mediocre. In regards to not playing the game before judging it, you don't need to. Gameplay speaks for itself, and if that's not enough then the word of somebody who *did* play the game is definitely enough. It's not a bad thing to hold off on a game and take into account what others say and what you see, it definitely saved me money that went to much better games. And I've seen enough gameplay to know what it is and why it's not good.
@@OrionDawn15 uses the green lantern ring some how. It’s not that hard. There have been villains that have used the ring. Actually the combat was way more. Flashbanged? Well I never had that happen yet. Shooting from distance, what numbnut with a long range weapon tries instead to punch a person. You have a long range weapon for a reason. As I stated I play Harley so I’m up close in fights. As I stated the only real place this game failed was the side missions during campaign and the missions after. I know this because I played the game and if this had my old PC I would still be playing it. I don’t use RU-vidrs to make my decisions on what I enjoy for me. If that’s what you do then fine. But don’t act like you understand how the game plays. I have watched many of their videos and decided I would use my own judgement because why would I allow someone else to tell me what is good or bad. That is all you are doing. They tell you what is good and you jump. They tell you what is bad and you back off. I came from a time we didn’t have RU-vidrs to tell us what was good or bad so we had to make our own decisions. I use that lesson even today. You may very well miss out on a lot of good stuff because of the influence they have over you. This game may not be worth 70 dollars, but what game is worth that much? It was worth the 30 I paid for it when I got it. They explain the deadshot thing in the game. Hating an enemy doesn’t mean you don’t respect them. Captain boomerang: (take this how you will, found it online) “He has a history of sexually harassing women, vocalizing racist beliefs, betraying comrades, and murdering innocent citizens. Alcoholism: According to his psych profile, Captain Boomerang is a possible alcoholic.” King shark. Was killed in the movie. Yes I grant you that happened. But was king shark in the game the same person as king shark in the game? Nope. I will let you figure that one out since you are lore god.
Does anyone know if Spider-Man 2 made it's money back? I adore single player games but AAA wise, if successes like Spider-Man 2 or Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth didn't make their money back, I can see why publishers might be a tad worried about going w/o some variant of extra monetization. Though they are Sony exclusives and sequels that didn't have multiplatform launches and a lower player base, it's still a pricey maneuver that publishers tend to avoid.

VR is profitable, just not as profitable as flat. The thing everyone seems to be missing is that VR will get to a point where it is the standard in gaming. Are there growing pains? Sure, as there are with every platform in history. If these companies and titles don’t get in on it now, they will be 5-10 years behind when the kinks are ironed out and VR is a gaming staple worldwide. I would argue it already is at that point and hardware is only going to improve in terms of graphics on standalone. It’s already at a pretty crazy place that I would say is along the lines of 360 and PS3 graphics, in some cases maybe even early Xbox one/PS4.
I can see this from both sides i enjoy vr gaming more for the sense of presence and the immersion but i do understand it simply doesn't work for some people and the motion sickness faze is hard i am thoroughly against exclusive games i just think it's unfair they is no reason it could not run on pc vr and the psvr 2 probably better
I mean, I understand the frustration of everybody, especially those who do not have a Meta Quest I can say is hopefully this is their way of testing the waters to see if the Arkham series is still that awesome and players mines
Batman: games: at least 10 games, movies: 13 Comics: 8436 Cartoons: 9 shows Toys: dozens of different types of Batman figures Suicide squad the game: Batman fans: oh no they ruined Batman forever. If they only did what I wanted it would of been great. For me (in my opinion) Batman is a boring over powered character made great by the villains he encounters and interacts with. (Again in my opinion) (Opinion: can be open to debate and doesn’t need to be shared by everyone) Two-face was my favorite villain until harley quinn stepped onto the cartoon screen. I have many fond memories of reading robin and azraeal comics in the hospital after my car accident when I was in school. These are in my opinion the best characters in the Batman universe. I don’t need prehistoric Batman, ninja Batman, samurai Batman, cyborg Batman, alien Batman, regular batman(if there is such a thing), future Batman, alternate dimension Batman, and any other form of Batman they decide to come up with that Batman fans will rave about. Gotham academy and Harley Quinn comics were both a lot of fun. Set within batsman universe and doesn’t use Batman to give a great story. Suicide squad also show cases non-batman characters to tell the story within the universe and does a fine job at it. Cool thing about the suicide squad game, there are a ton of universes brainiac has invaded with his many different forms. This is shown by alternate joker and led Luther. I’m sure in one of them the suicide squad is still alive and not a villain. Their world was destroyed and they could come to the one in the game to help protect it. (Not saying this will happen but it could)
A new Arkham game won’t work mainly because Kevin Conroy the voice of Batman is dead and mark hamil the voice of the joker has retired from the roll. So the game will fail miserably because that what made Arkham work not the combat, or story but the chemistry between hamil and conroy it was continuation of Batman the animated series. Look how well Arkham origins did when neather Conroy or Hamil where involved.
