I wish I could find this at a cinema but will have to settle for streaming. Apart from your very fine review there are two other reasons I am keen to see this. It has a soundtrack by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis who have made some of the finest cinematic music of the last 20 years. Also I just discovered that the director made The Sapphires in 2012, a heartwarming film with a superb soundtrack also based on a true story. By the sound of it this film couldn’t be more different.
I have mixed feelings about Nick Cave’s music! I didn’t realise that the music was by Cave and Ellis until the end credits. The music is really good and is an important part of the film. Hope you get to see it soon!
