This is actually a very good option for students to take online classes and tuitions. Best part is the cost is same as a smartphone. So it's better to give them this chromebook rather than a smartphone because in a smartphone, you have no way to monitor whether your kids are actually studying or just watching RU-vid/playing games by minimizing the classroom application 😁😁
Bcoz they don't just need an expensive laptop. We use ac regularly but still have some badass intel atom and an i3 6006u laptop. Bcoz I play mostly mobile games as PC games are just expensive in terms of hardware and software (except some nice games like Pokemon xenoverse and celeste. Cs go and rocket league is toooooo heavy. It seems like AAA games are even heavier. PC gaming is for creme la creme rich guys exclusive. I am ok with anime, Netflix and 2d games. My favourite game is PUBG mobile, freefire, and cod mobile. So I just don't need an expensive MacBook or any windows equivalent. The Intel atom laptop runs Linux so it's plenty fast for my purposes.

Pls don't buy apple. I have ipad 6th gen. Transferring data is not that much effective. Storage problem. Even ipad will hang if you use total memory space. So don't go with apple
The fact that it just costs 21k, this mediatek powered HP Chromebook actually makes for a purchase worthy choice especially for students and it is also light weight so thats a bonus.

In my opinon, this Chromebook with the mediatek processor can definitely be considered as being a suitable choice for students especially in this era of virtual learning.
I think it is really good at this price range because we get very less laptops and tabs under 25k which perform well. This is also good for those who use mobile phone for a long period as this has a big screen they will like it more.

Good option for students. I actually used this and the brightness of the screen is awesome. In fact, even the keyboard is good enough. Great use of Mediatek chipset.

Hey Beebom, students laptop doesn't means NCS music or Spotify or G-Doc. Please show if it can hold VMware virtualbox, Xampp, any Code compiler( python,java) or tools like MATLAB

The only issue with Linux is app support from Adobe or some specific work related windows/mac only app. Everything else works. There are a ton of easy to use Linux distros targeting beginners. @@debrajsom No chance of that as brands like iball and all are selling windows pc with emmc and 2/4gb ram from 10-12k price and since it's a Hp device I thought it'd be cost slightly higher for chrome OS plus recently I bought a windows Laptop from Asus with Amd cpu @24k with hdd and 4gb ram with full windows 10 OS and storage upgradable to ssd, so all in all 22k is pretty bad price!
It's overpriced in india. It should be around 15,999 considering the quality and specs. It's not $300 laptop should be $180 max. At $300 you get actual laptop with internals like ryzen 3 or athlon
First of all, plz do not describe chromebook (or Chrome OS desktop) as a device for students only. It has been increasingly used in many offices in India as well as around the world for day to day work . Its bcoz of such a faulty marketing that Chromebooks arent popular in India yet. They are excellent devices. Easy to use & much better than Windows.
I was pretty impressed with this launch. HP did a good job by offering this in such an accessible range and good choice with the mediatek processor as well. They seem to perform pretty well with Chromebooks.
I think you are right. HP built a decent Chromebook and chose efficient features for it as well especially with the Mediatek processor and the long battery support.
Would work smoothly for a month or so. Then it'll start struggling to complete even some basic tasks. Get a proper laptop for that price install an SSD. Now you have choice to install either chrome OS, windows, or linux. Will be a more versatile machine.
Yes get cheap dos laptop acer amd 18000 rs replace 128gb ssd 2000 rs install Ubuntu 20.it will be blazing fast ,virus free, can do all task install chome, light game too.

Buried in the settings, you can run full desktop apps with Linux. So, if you're lucky in terms of performance, you can edit on DaVinci resolve. It could be a little slow, but it's surprising that you can run that at all.
Can u please tell me that Chromebook is useful to view webpages which do not support Android and tablets but support only desktop(laptop or computer only)
I had very bad experiences with HP n lenovo. Most of them r built to last only the warranty period. Even the HDD gets crash very often. I had to replace the HDD twice. Lucky it was during the warranty period. But all important documents were lost. So big NO to HP & Lenovo computers. 👎👎👎

Yes, But if you are ok with 11'' screen then its ok for you. Also before buying this be aware of Chrome OS. It's not powerful as Windows and Android OS. Its a lite OS which is only good for lite case of usages.
