Since the discovery of contamination forced it to abandon planning for a new home at the Peterborough Lift Lock site in 2020, the Canadian Canoe Museum has made amazing progress over the course of the pandemic year. With an ideal alternate lakefront location now secured and a stunning building design reimagined for this new site, the CCM team intends to commence construction in fall of 2021 and welcome WCHA members (and, yes, other guests too) in summer of 2023!Join the CCM’s Carolyn Hyslop (Executive Director) and Jeremy Ward (Curator) for a virtual walkabout of the new Museum project and explore the wonderful suite of new offerings that this project will deliver, as you make plans to pack your canoe up to Peterborough and help us celebrate.
