They do the same thing with boats, most typically saltwater boats. A zinc "anode" is corroded away over time, rather than the expensive bits like outboard, keel, rudder etc. Almost all outboards these days also have 1 or 2 zinc anodes down near the prop, in case you dont lift your outboard.

I'm north of Dallas and the power kept turning on for a handful of hours (I think the most we got were 5.5 hours in a single time), but the power would just stay off, but a few neighbourhoods over they never lost power! I was even hearing of people complaining about the power predictably being on for an hour before going out for only 45 minutes before turning back on for another hour. People really want to complain about that!? My entire family was huddled in a single room freezing, wondering if the power was ever going to turn back on or if they just forgot about us and left us to freeze to death. It could have been worse for us because we were lucky enough to not have pipes burst and no one had medical issues, but still, the uncertainty of it all was terrible. Texas houses were NOT made for the cold! We got -5degrees F up here. Mad respect for anyone that went 3-4 days straight without power. How cold did it get for y'all in Austin?

He has the Takeuchi TL12 V2 Skid loader and runs Volvo excavators, I haven't seen if he has any mini or mid size excavators though. Not sure on that one.

@@wwgbert pretty sure he has at least 1 skid steer, 2 mini excavators, 2 full size excavators, a roller, a dozer, and a motor grader. As well as a tractor or two.
