I'd strongly advise people NOT to buy this until CZ proves they can provide spare parts for rifles they've already made and customer service that at least rises above "abysmal".
Looks great. Big CZ fan here, but losing faith in CZ-USA. Not impressed with the lack of customer service and horrible parts availability these days. Also, your LE/MIL program used to be excellent and now it is completely gone. Not sure I will continue to give CZ my business in the future.
@@lioncelica5170 simple Americans are in charge of CZ-USA as it is meant by the other commenter and he means that you should contact CZ-USA leadership and not the native company in Czechia
@@comradeshaslik5766 Ah. But this is the first time in over a century that Colt is owned by an actual gun company. I'm just glad that they didn't cease production of their monolithic series of upper receivers. In fact, I want them to bring back the 901 and introduce a Colt Canada mrr18.6 equivalent to the US market
They share the same bolt, carrier, lower, and charging handle sled. don't expect that you can get all those. CZ specifically told me I can't get a spare bcg for my MS.
@@JohnZ556 There were some 556 conversions for a very short time, but they were 900 or 999, which made them prohibitively expensive vs just getting a used bren2ms of your choosing.
James Reeves (TFB TV) already did a first impression video on the Bren 3, both 5.56 and .300 BLK, saw the video yesterday - an interview with a CZ PR, the same guy as usual)
Hey CZ if you SPECIFICALLY SAID PEOPLE COULDNT GET SPARE BCGs for their Bren 2, what makes you think people would get your gun if theres no support for it? I can buy something else that actually lets me fix my own rifle
I still train with my Bren 805, it's a workhorse! My Bren 2 is my truck and carry weapon, in pistol configuration. I'm so ready to get both the 300 and 556 of the Bren 3!
🤣 The scene @2:39 when those 4 dudes are looking back and forth at each other. Have to imagine that in real life there is some photographer saying "now look at one another", they do it, and immediately say something to the effect of "wtf are we doing..."
My Bren 2 is my favorite 5.56 rifle. It looks like there are some nice improvements on the Bren 3. But there are 2 things I would like to see. 1. Give the bolt catch/release in the handguard some wings so that it hangs slightly outside the trigger guard. Much like the Bushmaster ACR. 2. (Less important) An ambi charging handle instead of just swapable.
Good. It's an odd caliber to waste resources on when the AR15 style bolt head they use will continuously shear bolt lugs every 2500 rounds. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy shooting 7.62x39 and I love AKs, but keep that caliber in rifles that were designed for it. The only AR-style rifle that shoots it decently is the CMMG mutant, because they designed it with an AR10 bolt head to handle the larger case head and not compromise bolt lug strength. They made the right move here.
Your reputation for making cool guns is surpassed only by your reputation of not having parts for them. I've sold off several CZ firearms that I hated to part with just because you don't believe in making spare parts and mags.
That's cool that it's FINALLY chambered in .300blk, but what the hell happened to importing the 7.62 Nato variant? Like anything CZ, whether it be customer service for parts or actually following through with releases, it's always radio silence.
Perhaps they could be produced for the American market at the Colt factory, which belongs to the same owner as CZ Group. If they were produced in the USA for the American market, it would improve the availability of weapons and parts on the market.
The bolt release/hold open in the trigger guard is a 100% no go. Looks like the handguards are the big improvement, not much else? Big miss is not being able to customize the grip with any of the million AR grips out there. Had a BREN 2 11" and it was a good gun after I dropped cash on a HB Industries handguard as the stock handguard was a complete fail with all those screws. The weapon always worked, but it was expensive, no parts support and not more accurate or reliable than a $1,000 AR-15/M-4. Sold it and don't regret it.
No thanks. Not interested in sharing a firing pin with 20 other dudes. Without proper support, buying this is no different than buying a Christmas tree ornament and we aren't even in December.
Won’t be ever buying another CZ after having to sell my Bren 2. parts were never available or always out of stock. Give up on the US market CZ, we don’t want you.
No 7.62x39? I mean, I already have the Bren 2 mags in 7.62x39, so they don't have to be remade. The receivers having steel guide rails sounds awesome. I'll pass on this one. I'm just not into 300 black out when I have 7.62x39.
CZ, bring this in 308 and parts support to the US. We will buy them. We don’t have a good alternative to the scar and no one wants a scar H because they’re $3500. You’ll be overheating the money machine.
Been trying to get a Bren 2 carbine for 2 years and have been on every call list with all the local FFL's for when their distributors get one in stock and have never once found one. Given its impossible to get a bren 2 carbine, i would want a bren 3 but i feel that just having the chance of finding one will be totally impossible as it has been for the bren 2. CZ USA NEEDS to have them available to buy right from their website so i can buy and ship it directly to my FFL because i am not going to spend 100 hours on phone calls with ffl's and their distributors again to see if one is available. If CZ USA doesnt sell the bren 3 carbines on their site im going to disappointed and pissed.
Great. Hope our Air Force Tier One Unit continues the trend with the Bren 3 they started by procuring Bren 806 2. All other branches, including SOF army commandos and paratroopers/pathfinders, use the SCAR L complement by the H/HPR (except Navy and "regular" marines, still using the old frame HK G3, although many kitted with spuhr fited also with the same aimpoint comp m4 as the regular army with SCAR L), and our other 2 tier 1 units (army - "Rangers", navy - Special Actions Detachment) use some HK G-36 C/K/V versions, but mostly the HK 416A5, SCAR SC in limited numbers and they would be well served with the Bren 3. Cheers.
@CZfirearms :is the USA ever going to get the CZ Bren 2-3 in a .308Win. what is the MSRP of the Bren-3? is there any future options for a 12.5" or 13.7/9" barrel?
I don’t think we’ll ever get it on the civilian market, but I NEED that ambidextrous charging handle with a folding side, it is literally the only thing I wish the Bren had because my brain is weird and I prefer using different hands for different operations (quick example: right hand to checking the chamber or clear a malfunction, left to actually reload). Look I don’t even care if there’s no import to the US, I will learn the Czech language, fly over there, and go to the nearest place that sells it just to get that charging handle. I mean I’d prefer a import, that way I could visit the Czech Republic and enjoy it for a regular vacation and not to get a single part for a gun, but still my point stands! I really really really want that charging handle.
Hello CZ parts compatibility with Bren 2? will spare part be available ? support the platform I love met bren 2 so much I bought a second one to swap barrel
Please increase your U.S. presence to get a stronger foothold with these products. I would love to embrace them more aggressively, but the lack of spare parts and concern over discontinuation makes me not use mine as much!
Many others cannot recommend it. Too many reliability problems, parts problems, customer service problems and an excessive price to go with all the crap.
Modular Multical system, Would be nice to have access to spare trunnion, gasblocks, springs, and pistons. Great idea. Now to just get it into practice.
You should still offer barrell with LW profile for people who wants weight reduction. Theres plenty of examples of barrells with LW profile that are accurate even after "few" shots. Of cours that's not military style suppression, but I'm speaking as a civilian...
Ok but what about the 308? If you are not going to bring the 308 fine, but let us know. Rather just sell mine off (Bren 2 556 16) at this point then play these guessing games with you guys and then teasing the 308 every year but not bringing it to the United States. On top of that your CZ-USA doesnt even want anything to do with these rifles and sees them as annoyances.
I would buy one but I can build 3 AR's for the price of one . And soon the bufferless will be trusted . Not counting I have folders already . Nice thing about the AR is Parts which are not out there for the Bren .
Any news on whether this will be available on the civilian market in the US? I can't imagine it wouldn't be, but I haven't been able to see anything on this.
the scheme of the weapon in which the gas piston is separate from the bolt carrier, and a massive bolt. All this is a sign of the unreliability of weapons in conditions of pollution. A lot of designer recesses and protrusions are a collection of dirt, blind belt holes will not work because of debris, switching to two modes for a gas engine, this is not for the army. The bolt handle will be broken off in battle. These weapons will go for the police, but not for the army.
Been waiting over two years for the non restricted Bren 2’s in Canada. Will there be a non restricted Bren 3 for the Canadian market sooner than later?
@@MrJedi5150 Yes the Canadian government has put a ban on the importation of handguns into Canada, with exception to licensed businesses for specialized reasons. As an average joe you couldn’t, however if immigrating you would need to get your Canadian firearm licence before bringing any guns into Canada. In getting your licence, I would speak with a firearms officer (FO) about handguns. I would assume you could not import your Glock, but I would speak with an FO to confirm that.
