I like these bigger maps with larger squads. This one reminded me of Blackhawk down movie. Imagine if the ai was smarter and tried flanking more, ambushing, and taking cover. . . That'd be a fun nightmare lol
The map reminds me of Black Hawk Down too, and yeah dude it'd be fun lol (plus there's the IOV mod that includes a Retro Delta unit that includes troopers from the 1980s and 1990s)
I want to say lmgs units are a lot more likely to use longer bursts more accurately if they've got their bipod deployed. It happens automatically in cover so make sure that they always have the dashes of the cover indicator around the unit to maximize effectiveness. It's likely your lmg wasn't close enough to the window to brace
If they can ad a mechanic in the game were is says for MG gunners to deploy or brace their weapons on solid cover (windowsills, cars, walls etc) that would be prefect. Then they could actually do longer more accurate burst with some weapon.
@@sayjack1328 they already do, you just need to make sure the cover indicator is around the unit. They'll get an aim and accuracy bonus, especially for lmgs
OperatorDrewski and you both need to do a series where you both do the same levels and see who can get the best times. I reckon it'd make for a fun collab between you too due to you both being so damn similar. And to see who is the better tactician haha But honestly it would make for some great content, and he is wanting to look into playing other games.
I did this map with smoke and two undercover. Didn't have to kill anyone even. Moved one guy to the target and one on the other side of the south wall. Threw a smoke and hidden by the smoke I moved in and destroyed it and moved my sneaky bastards to the Heli 😇
Really cool to see your perspective of this one. Idk who came first but I just saw a completely different attempt at this map on another channel and after seeing it I was kinda thinking... "well what if you just book it away from the bird to the first building north, set up a base of fire with actual cover, and hope for the rest"
That was actually really good nice job. way to cut down pieces and work your problems. Got lucky on some parts, but hey we know luck is part of how the game is played
It reminds me a lot (a LOT) of the planning stages from the first 3 Rainbow Six games. I never had the patience to plan entire missions like that in those games, but Door Kickers is really fun.
In this game I prefer the 249. The minutia of critical damage and all of that isn't as pertinent at range, so the 200 rounds before reload is just superior in my opinion.
I feel like it really does matter for the MG. And all weapons. The difference going from 5.56 to 7.62 feels massive. I mean, it shouldn't, but it does. Especially with MGs since the gunners refuse to hold the trigger down when the situation really does call for it. For some reason MGs seem like they're at a disadvantage vs 5 dudes in a hallway. Two rifles almost always do the job better. MGs really do just need an "area target" sense. So if they've got multiple dudes in close proximity they'll just hold the trigger down. Also, civilians need to have a better "maybe I shouldn't be here any more" sense. Like gtfo of here bro. There's an active gunfight going on. You've crossed the same street like 4 times.
@@DracoAvian lmao the civilians are so annoying. I use the suppression ability a ton and civilian casualties are a regular occurrence because at this point I don't care anymore xD
"as I dropped the angle someone poked" counter-strike simulator... 3 minutes aiming at the door, turn around, dude comes out immediately after "why are you stopping" again, counter-strike simulator, typical dust 2 B rush :D
Christ. Good thing they can call in an any support strike or mortars. Got the whole damn team playing touch butt in the same room. Also, don’t burst fire a 7.62 machine gun? Never shot a gun before?
The Mk48 is best used shooting short controlled bursts. Otherwise the accuracy is severely hindered. Using the Suppression to try and kill the enemy is basically like spraying and praying.
He also does ready or not. Even though just because youre good at door kickers it doesnt make you good at ready or not, door kickers is more about commanding and in ready or not youre one of the troops you still plan but not as a single commander and you have to fight instead of the ai
Right? I got real BHD vibes with this, and the fighting in Mogadishu. Except they didn't have HVTs to deal with or VIPs to rescue, just go in, smash the bird, and get the fuck out.
The slow movement speed is a real downside for open maps like these. Like the standard move speed should be made faster when in open ground, just as a way of making sense
@@Splinter07 Well yeah, though that's when you want you drop your weapon and be at a location ASAP. My point is they could probably walk with their weapon up at a faster pace than what they are. Maybe balance it with an accuracy debuff, if anything, but the point is their standard walking peace feels much too slow for an operator with his gun up in open ground.
am I the only one with a problem with this mission? I destroy the drone, either grenade or manual sabotage, but why doesnt the mission end? is there another objective to be done? help pls
Most maps i agree with how u handled or could understand. Idk if u were out of practice but by far ur worst map. Agreed with the strong hold building but one fireteam of a marksman/ assaulter was needed to hold that long angle for the exit route back
