You don't need perks to get to the Spearmaster one! They are lighter than the other slugcats, simply bringing a white squidcada and doing a backflip lets you fly indefinitely and reach that spot.

The spearmaster spot can actually be reached without any bugs, creatures, items, mods, or expedition perks... I've done that before this secret was discovered (don't ask why). It takes a lot of patience and some movement knowledge

I've actually been working on a big Rain World video essay over the last few months, with a few other ones planned. I'm also working on video essays for other games, like Fez, La-Mulana, Tunic, Daniel Mullins, ESA, Alwa, Noita, etc. That's pretty much what I'll mainly be working on over the coming months (along with continuing to cover Noita mechanics and secrets). Once Animal Well comes out, that too is going to be all over this channel. 2024 is when I branch out a bit again.

i was doing a hunter expedition with the rainbow mode on (bc it was a pain for me to grind for artis jump and go to bitter aerie as rivulet so its only worth it) and, turns out, i believe cyan lizard and slugpups also glow rainbow as you do, idk for sure bc i have the emerald tweaks mod enabled so it might be a mod, but since EVERY cyan lizard was rainbow i believe its apart of the easter egg... i wonder what other creatures glow rainbow...

It's very fun seeing these come out now, I actually have footage from when I discovered this a few months ago buried in the code, but I kept it to myself just for fun~ There is another Easter egg that I found that I'm pretty sure is still not widely known about! Not as big and elaborate as this one, but it's fun to find little secrets like these

I'm just glad this game is getting the recognition it deserves. Also this gives me a vague bit of hope. I want to one day try my hand at making games. Just as a hobby not like BIG TIME development. But I want there to be secrets. Secrets you have to work for. Puzzles that aren't totally obvious for people to just discover by derping around and doing things that may seem unitentional. But I always felt like I never could cause Data mining is a thing. Any secret one can possibly make will get figured out eventually by SOMEONE shifting through it especially if the game gets popular. Noita and games like this have a lil more of a chance of their secrets slipping through since there's no where near the amount of people playing them as something like cod or battlefield which have similar easter egg vibes to what I wanna go for.

i don't think you need the bomb perk for the Spearmaster spot, though it does still require being able to accidentally (or on purpose ofc i'm just a buffoon who doesn't know how) send a spear upwards and the rivulet perk. gotta get the spear right near the edge so you can kinda jump leftish-uppish and add another horizontal spear. that said the resulting jump you need to make from one to the other is actually proving to be a doozy but i can TASTE it its ALMOST THERE final addendum: it works!! it works and also i figured out how to throw "up" consistently! yayay!

like @high_intelligence_specimen comment said, it is possible to get the spearmaster spot atop Looks to the Moon. The minimum requirement is patience, the knowledge of backflipping, throwing spears up/down and storing backflips on poles.

Yeah yeah, I know. I just guess I was making this video for "new" people who don't know those advanced techniques. I don't know. It was a mistake. I should have gone into more depth about it, but it is what it is. I'm not amazing at Rain World, but I've played it for over 500 hours and do know about all the movement tech, etc. I tend to focus videos on people who don't go crazy learning everything about the game, though. You know rivulet's spot is quite hard to reach but using 2 slugcats is possible. i used saint as a bait for its location and suicide but rivulet can saved the game thought

I know. It's possible in a lot of ways, including just using a squidcada without even worrying about wobble or other difficult movement tech. Still, one little mistake or failure to mention something (I actually had footage of me doing it with a squidcada, but forgot to put that 20 second clip into the video) doesn't warrant a complete remake of the video.

It makes me happy that a lot of people miss my old work, but the honest truth is that I'm not going to be uploading gameplay like that to this channel again. It wasn't bad enough for me to re-record and re-render and all that, so I decided to just live with it on this one. Basically, my mixer is dying -BUT ALSO- while troubleshooting, I unplugged it from USB and plugged it into a new slot and that deleted the entire profile for it in OBS, because "Yay, OBS!" lol. And then I recorded this commentary before realizing that all of my audio settings had been wiped.
